Oh Kelly ... LOL I *am* confused! LOL Oh my goodness ... you mean you're s'pose to water in the a.m.? Yikes! I always do it around 11:00. I'm a night owl. Poor plants would never get any water. LOL
sarv, I have a niece graduating from nursing school ... and I think they're giving her a blow out bash. :) Oooh so sorry to here about the troubles with the DS camper.
Yes Meezers, our furbabies certainly know how to train us ... and they do it in a hurry! They're like children ... it doesn't take them long to figure it out.
Woodspirit how is the house project coming? Keep us informed. Oh, and how are your new neighbors? LOL LOL
Well, think I'll do like sarv and go get comfy. Will check back later.

GG I am so sorry you have to go through all of this ((((hugs)))) to you
I am off to the tv and then the bed! LOL
I am thinking of you all and wishing all a wonderful nights rest!
Anne
See you in the morning
Wow ... have I got problems ... or did you add all that stuff about your house while I posted, WS? I could swear it wasn't there when I was reading! LOL
Hi Anne/mags! Glad you dropped in. See, we're addicting. You *can't* dump us! :)
So, where's Defoe? Did she get lost in town?
Okay y'all ... got to show off my new babies!
Here's a pic of my hostas. Thanks to oz ... I believe they are called plantaginea. Right oz?
Hi Folks,
I scanned the messages but won't try to comment on all. Kelly, keeping my fingers crossed that they don't find anything for you to be concerned about.
Have just started an all night fast. Gotta go get the blood tests related to my medical done sometime. Think I'll head over to the local lab around 9 tomorrow. The early morning - before work crowd will have cleared. and I don't have to start fasting as early as if I were going for 7. Also have to do that stool test where you can't eat broccoli or cauliflower - some of my favourites.
I'm attaching a composite pic of the beadwork logo they gave me from the Food Cupboard. One is of the entire piece - then a close-up of the beadwork itself and I also pasted the logo of the organization into the corner. The beadwork is about 1/3 inch thick. The framing takes this into account as is recessed - like a shadow box. One of the volunteers at the FC does the calligraphy. the whole framed piece is about 10 inches wide and the beadwork itself is about 4. All in all, it makes a wonderful memento with which I'm thrilled. I had quietly told one key volunteer to squelch any talk of giving me "stuff" when I retired. But they had noticed me admiring the beadwork that one client was doing as she waited for her food one day and the idea was hatched.
Have a good night everyone.
Ann
OK, here's the "drIll" we are doing about the kid. She's close to NOT graduating by ONE course, and has shown NO interest in catching up.
Today my sister and I did an end run and called the boyfriend in Dallas to attend her graduation if we pay plane fare. He's willing!
We also ordered a cap & gown today (RED if you can believe it).
Looks like the boyfriend being here just might make the difference in the kid buckling down and finishing so she can gaduate rather than being humiliated by not passing and him being a witness.
WHEW! Glad it's only my neice and not my kid. My kid would probably be dead by now, L:OL.
LOL Darius! Later I'll tell you about my DD's graduation scene...but for now I'm going to post the new link, and head for my pillow...

101, I did not get lost in town. It would take a lot bigger town than where I was to get lost. Do you collect coffee mugs?
It has just been one of those days! Wheew. Told you all that I made the dr. appointment just to get the script for the allergy meds. Have had this cough since I had the flu about 5 weeks ago. Well, the Dr. heard it, asked how long I had had it, and said it was probably a combination of the flu/allergies, got a bit fat shot in the behind, and antibiotics. Then the diagnosis for the back pain is kidney's. Got a CT scan, and then he took me off all meds except the allergy. Gonna wait 3 weeks, and if I am still having pain, gotta see a kidney specialist. What are they called? This is something similar to what I went through 2 years ago, caused by reaction/side effects to medication. So this trip to the Dr., to the hospital and Dr again, took practically all day.
Okay, now that I have "spilled my guts" ain't gonna comment too much.
GG, hope your tests go well. Hope they find nothing!!
Molly, send me some of your energy, please, the plans look so good.
Maria, sorry that Samson chose your glasses to start on his art projects.
Sarv, nightmares about plants, and then planning on hitting the nurserys again. LOL.
lauriewilson, give me a break. I couldn't do that in 3 days, much less one.
viann, that beadwork, is wonderful. Do you have a spot picked out to hang it?
Darius, if the "kid" was yours, the world might be a better place. Aw, I didn't say that.
m5, I got the mental picture of you chasing a cat!! Funny, I know, frustrating as h---, glad you caught the escapee.
mags~~at ya!
Mary, good Garden art.
Joyous, those events are nice, but usually 1 or 2 people end up doing most of the work.
sstateham, I know how to change a tire, but I will beg, cajole, most anything else not to have to do it.
McCool, so you got some "hot squirrels" now. LOL, nice try, maybe they are mexican. What is hotter than cayenne? Find out and try it.
Carat, hope the kids get their plans all worked out.
Pattischell, thanks for the link about the coffee mugs.
Tomorrow, I am heading into Louisville, about 50 miles away to a heirloom plant sale, and to meet a fellow DG member. This nursery specializes in unusual plants, so hard to tell what I will come home with.
Gonna go check out some other forums, and may be back, if not, see you in the morning. I am putting out fresh blueberry doughnuts with coffee. Help yourself.
Aw, Woodspirit, I forgot you! Sorry, forgive me please. Please post some pics, am interested to see the progress as it happens. LOL about 101 asking about the neighbors, bet they are as silent as "death". Aw that was bad!!
Later
Darius, it sounds like the plan to get the kid to pass her class and graduate is a good one. The right kind of "bait" might just do the job.
I've never heard of having an open house for a kid graduating, it must be a regional custom. Some neighbors of ours did have a big picnic/barbeque sometime during the summer after their daughter graduated, but it also doubled as a send off to college.
GG, it makes you wonder when they can't get something that simple done right. They'll put you through plenty of tests as long as somebody pays for it.
ViAnn, I really like the beadwork! A nice gift with a personal touch.
Elaine, those baby plants look healthy and happy. You're a good plant mom.
Woodspirit, I'm glad you got to keep the knotty pine paneling. When I was growing up we had it in the dining room and living room, just one wall in each room but it added a warmth and charm to the rooms. My mother's kitchen cupboards were knotty pine and I was sad when she painted them after a few years. Here in my house we (hubby and I) built our own cabinets, all knotty pine. My walls are an off white with a hint of yellow for warmth.
I got a flower bed weeded and mulched today, probably did some of the wrong movements and now my back feels different than it did this morning, not just achey but achey in a different way. Time to do my exercises, tidy up the dinner dishes and go to bed. Goodnight all, sleep well, wake up rested and happy.
Well, I thought I would post a little bit since I have just been reading and reading and not posting.
Cause by the time I get here, everyone has said good night so I feel like I am talking to myself. LOL
I have been working myself to death trying to get everything planted, potted or started before I go on my Indiana trip on Monday.
The physical therapy has been extended for 8 more treatments. I thought I was going to be through last week, but aren't I happy that they could get the doctor to OK 8 more??? Not really.....
They have given me exercises that I am supposed to do while I am visiting. Right.
I still need to start a few more things, I am even later this year than last. I wanted to get things started early this year so they might have a chance of blooming before August. Daturas especially.
I01, your hostas are lovely. I am oohing and ahhing over all mine as they come up and leaf out. I have had some luck in finding ones I thought were lost: Elvis Lives, On Stage, Old Faithful, One Man's Treasure, Frosted Jade, Lakeside Explosion, Emeralds and Rubies and Bressingham Blue.
Still have about 40 to identify from my list I made a few years ago. I keep going to the hosta library, the hosta book I have and back to my list and back out to look and repeat until you are frustrated.
The slugs have muched my Maui Buttercups almost completely away, the squirrels broke Grand Total so now it is zero, They dug up Katerine Lewis and I had to baby that one back. I think she will recover. I have an intensive care area for the squirrel damaged and the slugs. I put coffee grounds as many as I could this evening.
We are supposed to actually get rain tomorrow. 100% they say. We got 2.25 inches on Monday, boy was it nice. I planted 50 hyacinth bean vines that I had started in peat pots, about 200 morning glories and have tried to start castor beans. They usually start really easily for me, but these are putting up the bean all fattened up and looking like a lima bean instead of making leaves. I don't know what they are doing. I think I put them in too small a peat pot and they can't turn around in there.
My back is killing me, so I can join that club and my buttock still. No matter what I do I pull that muscle. Oh yeah, I put out 36 vodka white begonias all along the base of my clematis that I have alongside the garage. The clematis are blooming wonderfully. The roses are blooming and no black spot since I have messengered them twice. That stuff is the ticket.
Well, I didn't mean to write a book. I will probably check in from Indiana next week if I can. I am on the computer up there almost as much as here. LOL
Susan
=^..^=
Elaine,
Yes, that way the plants are dry before the sun goes down and there is less chance of diseases, molding, fungus etc. I just can't get out there that early. Those hosta look great.
mags,
Thank-You. I'm not going to think about it until I find out the results for sure. I'm sure it's prolly an infection.
Ann,
Thank-You so much,,,I am too,,,LOL. What a lovely plaque they gave you. Such beautiful bead work.
darius,
Glad you both took care of things for the kid,,,still roflol over that,,,the kid,,,,LOL
dcat,
Thank-You, I'm sure they will. I'm one of those think positive people. Refuse to worry about something I don't know if I have or not. Actually, refuse to worry about anything anymore. Life's too short.
Mary,
I agree. My Np said she wished Dr. Shrink would have just pulled me off of the med completely so we could see what happened. Dr. Shrink wouldn't do it cause in all the years he has been prescribing this med, he's never seen this happen before due to this med. He won't go any farther until he gets an all clear from my NP. Says that I could have other major health problems that could be causing this.,,,grrrrr Sad,,,all I wanted to know was why my legs, ankles and feet are swelling and why I've been having so much pain in my knees and my lower back. It goes numb if I'm standing too long. Wonder if I'll ever get an answer to either???? Hope your back gets better quickly. Very frustrating when your back hurts.
Susan,
Sounds like you have been working like a maniac. Glad you are finding those hostas. Darned little varmints and slimy things. Hate it when they think our hosta gardens are their smorgasbord,,,grrrrr Hope you do check in,,,,we'll miss you if you don't,,,won't be the same on DG,,,LOL Have a safe trip.
Well, bed time.
See you tomorrow
Kelly
