Secret Easter Bunny Trade Reports (continuation thread)

East Texas, United States(Zone 8a)

I finally downloaded the pic of my SEB Sannajane's wonderful gifts.

Steel Blue
Rebels Splatter Cake
Violet Dusk
Falling Raindrops (dream come true!)
the biggest potted AV had no label, don't know if noid or if label fell off (sannajane?)
noid pink
noid purple
packet of zinnias
a rooted rosa rugosa!
the cutest pic frame
the cutest coaster. I am fastidious about putting drinks on furniture, use coasters EVERYWHERE

I am so very happy with my gifts! thank you, thank you, thank you.

Oh darn.... I can't remember. I only remember (at least at the moment) that the ones in pots were named varieties.... I will try to think about it and remember. I really hope the rosa rugosa makes it. It has always been a special one ~ the blooms don't last long, but I love it. I'll think on the potted one. So glad you liked your variety. It was a really fun swap!

WOW super nice box so filled with great AV's and other suprises !
It sure has been fun and fun seeing what everyone else got !
Who's missing what did you get in your box !

Loveland, CO(Zone 5b)

Thanks for all the great information (and plants!) Lali, :) you've been wonderful!

Yes, we need to catch up Kenton... I'm so glad we're both out of school now, I can't wait to get together and run around this summer. Whether it be urban at the "plant stops" in Denver, or wilderness for a camping rendezvoux! :) Since our spring plans were foiled, we're definitely going to have to get together this summer. :)

And yes, Jill is a terrific packer ;).

The PJ's part of my SEB arrived today. But, I still don't know who my EB is!

In the box was:
Little Pro
Ness Crinkle Blue
Teen Thunder
Sassy Sister
Definitely Daryl

They were sent on the dry side and are in the kitchen right now. I will take pictures after they have had their drink and feel a little better.

What a pleasant surprise. I did not have any of these plants and they all look healthy even before the drink of water. Teen Thunder is blooming and the others have buds peaking from under the leaves.

Thank you so much EB who ever you are. Can't wait to thank you by name.

Nanna

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

WOW Nanna how sweet ! Nice box wonderful plants ! I wonder who is your secret EB !

Silver Spring, MD

I don't know. But it is someone very special. Can't wait to find out who it is.

What fun!!

Sannajane, I don't know if this was a coincidence or planned, but glued to the container you used to send the AV leaves was a recipe that intrigued me. I tried it 2 days ago and it was fabulous. Husband believes there is no acceptable substitute for a juicy, greasy hamburger, but even he enjoyed this recipe. Your gift keeps giving... thanks.

1 lb lean hamburger meat
2 tbsp dried apricots
2 tbsp sun driet tomatoes
2 tbsp pine nuts
2 tbsp dried peppers (didn't have, didn't use) used parsley instead

form into patties and grill. Yum!

Eureka, CA

Well, I can't take credit for that one either! I used the same plastic container for the leaves I sent you that I got from my Secret EB trader! (I'm a great recycler!) Glad you enjoyed the recipe though!

By the way, did the rosa rugosa survive? It was one that I just stuck in the ground to root, and when I was packing your stuff I thought you might like it.... I hope it made it.

Sanna

It arrived in great shape but the leaves went downhill after 2 days, don't know why. It's by my kitchen (my ICU area, lol), and today it will get a spraying of messenger. I got a pic from eglantyne showing a stressed rose before and after messenger that inspires me to keep fighting for it. I see a tiny leaf bud so there's lots of hope for it, yet. And yes I do love it! I used to post more frequently in the AV forum, but roses lured me away....

BTW, name of burgers was MEDITERRANEAN BURGERS

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Cool! Who knew that this secret trade would include a recipe exchange???

BTW, Nanna, if your SEB's id is still a mystery to you, I'm thinking I should spill the beans... It's MsC! I'm sure she'll be checking in with us more regularly again after she's a little more settled in. She and the zoo crew have moved to AZ, so it's a big adjustment!

East Texas, United States(Zone 8a)

she moved? didn't she live in/near Galveston? oh no, I never got to meet her. Well, AZ will be a good place

Silver Spring, MD

AZ!!!! How exciting. I have a daughter and grandson in Arizona. It's a big place but wouldn't it be wonderful if they were close. It's the grandson who just received the bone marrow transplant. Thanks for the infor Jill. I will email her today.

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Jill did everyone get their boxes ??

I got mine from Lali last week. I took a moment to dmail her, but forgot to post it here. I've got pictures and a list I'll try to get posted today. They are great! She sent me Blue Tail Fly, which I'm thrilled with!

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

RG, your box from Lali must be from the second spring secret trade, not from this one.

Nearly all boxes have been accounted for, although some people have not posted about what they received, so I'm just assuming that since their tracking indicates "delivered" they got their boxes.

There's one Bunny Box that's still outstanding (was waiting on some special plants), but I haven't heard from either the sender or the receiver of that box in a couple of weeks. But I haven't lost track, and if it turns out that bunny is just unable to send, I'll get a box out from here. I tried to keep track of this trade pretty closely, and while there were assorted delays & schedule changes, I think everyone was kept informed of the status of their bunny box, either on the trade thread or via Dmail. If I dropped the ball for anyone, I apologize!

Ack! I'm sorry, Jill! You're right!

~Please wait til I leave the room to start snickering~ ;o)

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

LOL.... not snickering here.... there's been a good bit of confusion betweent the two trades!

Evidently I thought this was the thread for the second one or I wouldn't have been watching it. My poor little mind... LOL

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Well I always thought part of the trade was to post when you got your box, let people know who your bunny was and to say Thank you , and what you got in your box ?
Amy you are so cute !

Oh, well done Sarah! You picked out some beauties!

Allison, yes, that's what I thought too.... but you know, you can only Dmail somebody so many times about things like that. I'm sorry for anybody who didn't get a report on the box that they sent, since that's part of the fun, but at least I'm pretty sure all boxes have now reached their recipients!

I'm delighted to report that everyone has now sent a box, and everyone has received a box from their Secret Easter Bunnies! I hope everyone was pleased with how it worked out. If there are any lingering questions or concerns, please Dmail me.

Thanks so much to all of our wonderful Secret Easter Bunny Traders!!!

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)
