Record keeping

Saluda, SC(Zone 8a)

Every year I start out with all the good intentions in the world of keeping information such as seed order copies, plant tags, etc in a convenient and available form only to have those resolves go by the wayside about 1 month into spring.

This year it suddenly dawned on me that those photo albums with the sticky pages that you are warned will harm all your photos if you use them would be perfect for my plant record info.

As soon as I receive an order I simply put the invoice under a sticky page, tags from plants-same story. Pictures of plants on my wish list--you get the picture.

This eliminates the need for filefolders, glue, etc and keeps everything in one place neatly secured; ready to disgard infomation, just lift page, pull our info and throw away

i never had a head for any of that stuff but this year i decided to try a garden diary right here on d.g. its working better than i ever thought. i am able to put where my seeds came from, when i planted and can post pictures. at the end of the season i just print everythng up and put it away.

check out my diary to see what i mean.
