I think you could make a light jacket out of it if you put some darts in the front and back. But if the fabric or style doesn't suit you, you could always cover some pillows or dining room chair seats.
Coffee and...For Thursday, April 6, 2006 =^..^=
Ernie, can I be your neighbor? Surely there's enough there for sharing.. :) They are the prettiest looking things to us in the brown zone (snow almost melted, precious little growing!) I actually saw a few daffs blooming today on my way home. They were in a nice warm protected area on the S side of a house.
That workout sounded like torture! I hope u NEVER try that again! Makes me hurt just thinking about it - and I thought we were doing well going for a 2 mile walk the last two evenings.
Well, come one, come all to the latest pool party!!!!!!!! Yup, I heard the dreaded words in my sleep, I thought, but it was DS, "Mom, there's water in the basement." Oh help! Somehow the breaker flipped in the basementand the sump pumps weren't running for about an hour. Half the basement was under water already. The west pump is running every 15 seconds so if we get the forecasted storms tomorrow, we're going to be in more trouble! So bring ur lawnchairs, beer, beach balls and swimsuits - it's PARTAY time!!!
meezer - its beautiful - wear it!!!!!
nanny - Don't let them get you down- if anyone asks, just say you tried and that maybe it would be better if someone local did that particular job. You just stick to doing the things that don't require being on the spot all the time. But, by all means, do not let a few people drive you out of your church where, I'm sure, you have many friends.
I wish you could have all been here with me today. It was so beautiful (and I could have used the help!). I did get a good bit done, but not everything I had planned. I spent too much time just sitting and looking at all the wonders that surrounded me.
Hope you all have a good night, and I'll keep you all in my prayers.
ginni
kooger - if I could get there I'd help you bail it out (after the party!).
billyporter - are you new to coffee? I don't recall messages from you before, but you sesem to know everyone. Welcome if you are new. Shame on me if I've missed previous posts.
Sheila, Love the Kimona, but would have to think about what to do with it. It's lovely bold pattern would suit some uses better than others. Maybe parts of it finished with fringe would make table runners.
Nancy, like the others, I hope those people were just stressed. Also hope the paper might make a refund given the error. Strange they didn't tell you at the time that the deadline had changed. If things don't improve, would having a chat with your pastor help? (I think you get peoplelike that in most churches to a certain extent).
Bonnie, glad you are feeling better, but don't overdo things.
Kelly, hang in there. We're all pulling for you.
Might not get back this evening; so hope yo all have a good night.
Ann
First of all, I want to thank everybody for your T & P, your advice, and your sympathy, then please forgive me that everything I have posted in the last couple of days has been centered around me. This muscle spasm thing has really gotten to me, it is very hard to think of replying to others when just the slightest movement is torture.
I told you that I would report on the pot luck. Isn't it strange that no matter how many people who attend you almost always have duplicate dishes of everything. We had 3 trays of deviled eggs, 2 casseroles of mac & cheese, 1 regular green bean, 1 green bean casserole., after that a good variety. Broccoli casserole, squash casserole, beets, cole slaw, potato salad, fried chicken and ham only 2 desserts, I made a chocolate cream pie, and then someone brought cupcakes. So all in all it was a pretty good meal.
They are saying that we are in for more rain for the next couple of days. Kooger, I did not attend your pool party last year, so don't know the proper things to bring. So glad that you are able to inject some humor into this basement flooding situation. Hope that it isn't such a PITA, and you can get it corrected soon.
I promise that tomorrow, I will try harder to keep up, to comment on everybody's posts, and to try to keep my sobbing and wailing to the minimum.
To everybody who is having miserable weather, hope you get better, to those of you who are sick/hurting, sure hope that you are better tomorrow, to those who have overdone it at exercise, hope you are not too sore to get out of bed in the morning.
I am off to try to rest tonight. Sweet dreams to all of you.
Hi everyone, and welcome to Billyporter! Did you give us some bio information that I have missed?
Nancy, I think I would turn the job over to somebody else and help out in some other way. Also, this may help with your relationship with them in the future: forgiveness is a choice, not a feeling. Picture this, a train will run just fine without the caboose, forgiveness is the engine, feelings are the caboose. Many people think they have to feel something to forgive, but that is backward, like the caboose pulling the train. I would also call and talk to the supervisor of the girl who took your ad. Did your ad have a date for the event? That would give the supervisor a clue that you need to get a refund and the employee needs to be awake when she is working.
Dcat, I hope you feel better tomorrow. Don't worry about your posts being all about you, gosh, you hurt, and it is really hard to think past that. We all understand, so don't worry about it.
Sarv, I hope you don't feel so achey tomorrow. Don't give up, but don't try to climb Mt Everest in one day in the future, your body will like you better.
I'm not doing too well with the time change either, sitting here at 8:35 with heavy eyes. Goodnight everyone, sweet dreams.

Hi All,
I Will be a crazy person before Monday!!! And for me, that's really saying something. I see Dr. Shrink on Tues.,,,,LOL,,, Can I ask that anyone around the area come and visit me in the little white padded room? I'll be the one in the corner in the fetal position hollering for more meds. Those passing through,,,I would love a visit from you also. If I'm comatose the day you come,,,pop in a few hours later,,,I'll maybe be coherent by then.
Some how,,,,,(Bill),,,,the freezer door got left open a scosche. Bill noticed it last week and we didn't really know what was good and what wasn't. It looked like it had snowed in there. Well, last night when I Told Emeril He was cooking, he went down to get fish out and had me look at it,,,sure enough,,,no good. So, this morning, Tim the Tool Man decided he was going to defrost the freezer. I told him to take everything out and put it in the coolers and I'd go through it after work. He got most of the ice off of it and then left it to finish itself.
After work, I ran to the grocery store, came home, started to unpack the groceries and Bill walked in the door. I took something out of one of the bags of groceries and the whole thing fell side ways knocking my pop off the counter and all over the floor. So, now, I had the groceries to put away, the mess on the floor to clean up and the mess in the basement to clean up. Cleaned up the pop first, put the groceries away next, threw a pizza in the oven and went downstairs, Bill did go down there with me. I got in the basement and saw he left venison on the wooden stairs and some frozen veggies on the floor. Tim the Tool Man decides he's going to wash out the freezer by throwing water into it. What a mess!!!!! Needless to say, we did get it cleaned out, I just wonder how long it's going to take my basement floor to dry up so I can wash it down with bleach cause there was blood on the floor from inside the freezer,,,grrrrr
To top it all off, his boss was supposed to call him today to offer him his job back and never called. Bill will give him a call in the morning. Monday Can't come soon enough!!! Although I'd like to skip Tuesday,,,I have to be at the clinic in Marshfield all day for my annual physical,,,poking and prodding and squishing and blood draw,,oh,,,,and can't forget Dr. Shrink.
Sorry this has been an all about me post,,,but I just Had to vent. I Will try to get in tomorrow to comment on others' posts.
Oh, and Marie, c'mon, you met Gran,,,I'd need another extra Xanex for that too,,,,LOL
Kelly
Don't feel bad, my posts are ALWAYS about me. LOL
Today, I went back to Walmart after PT and filled my car up with plants. Is that a shock to anyone here????????
I'm so excited, I will start planting them tomorrow. They are actually still in the car because we were about to have a storm when I got home. We missed the big stuff, thank goodness, but got a heavy rain and pea sized hail. Luckily the plants are in the car. LOL
The hail really wasn't that bad, the rain was very heavy and the sun was shining the entire time. That is weather in Oklahoma.
My son who is a photo journalist, called and said they were sending him into a tornadic storm to get some shots south of Tulsa. I guess he wanted to be sure he talked to me one more time. LOL
Called his GF first of course. The tornado didn't develop there but he did get some shots of wind damage.
Well, I have started the daily at

Have a great night.
