Formerly know as BrugMania AKA John...
Hey check out this seedling!
I'm Back
Since I will be at the FL spring swap and there are so many DG'ers I thought I should re-join
Well WELCOME back, John! The last time I saw you, you had posted a picture of a piece of wisteria pottery. Was it Roseville? And I was so jealous. Such beauty.
And I see I am still going to be so jealous. Look at that triple pink. So pretty and look at the gorgeous double peach. What are their names John?
It is like old home week around here. How great! Spring is getting us all going again.
Any hoo ..Hi !
Hi John. You are doing great, even with the bad GH? ha....
Some real beauties! Thanks for sharing.
Hi Kell : ) The 1st one is not named yet but have been calling it (Spider) 2nd one NAMED! ;) 'Fleming Island Rachel' Both are Ludger Schneider hybrids and I will be happy to give the name crosses if anyone is interested.
Sure, I would love to know the crosses. That first one is so huge. I love the name 'Fleming Island Rachel' and I love the brug. LOL. So dark.
Ludger really has some winners to his name. He should be proud.
Kell the 1st one is compost pile x compost pile ! NOT... J/K ..lol ...It's Charleston X Kaskade I'll get back with 'Rachel' I know Everlasting Ruby is one parent.
Gloria, I had a long talk with my GH and we are getting along a bit better now!
I just love that first photo of Spider. So large and dreamy. Its just one of those brugs that makes you wonder what the future holds for the future generations of that one.
I am so glad you have re-joined Daves Garden John!
I am glad you are back with us. More pics please.
Very pretty, John.
Hi John your pictures are great i do,nt know you personaly but i am sure you will be a pleasure and a assest to this forum again. Bob
Hallo John! Its so nice to see you back.
Wow! What a beautiful double Pink.! Its a honor for me, that again, one of my Rubiline - hybrids is a parent of more double Pinks.
Only Mrs. Blin had a more successfull hybrid in Charleston!
Kell, I am sure, that John will share Ludgers seeds with you if you beg him nice enough for it. But dont expect a cutting back. Kell has apparently a short memory, when it comes to promises, she has made.
I am not going to fight with you, Monika no matter how you try. Dave does not want us to fight over brugs on his site. They are not worth it. If anyone wants to know my side, and I definitely have one, they can email me. Over a year of abuse I think is enough. All I ask is that you leave me alone as I leave you alone. Thank you! And yes, I would love to grow Ludger's seeds. His brugs are beautiful! Hear that John! LOL
A few of us came back because the Brug forum was beginning to lose the interest it had held for so long which was apparent by the lack of posts. We had hoped to bring it back to what it used to be and that was a very interesting, knowledgeable site where oldies and newbies alike came for information.
Since returning certain people that hardly posted anymore all of a sudden are posting away.
"Over a year of abuse I think is enough. All I ask is that you leave me alone as I leave you alone."
Funny kell that you also accused me of abusing you for two years when it was a proven fact that I had not had any contact with you whatsoever. Now you are accusing Monika of abuse.
For someone that has a behind the scene e-mail group that rips people to shreds and tries to destroy their reputation with lies I'd say you have a lot of nerve to even post such a thing..
You're sneaky kell I'll give you that. You stir and stir the pot until you have stirred it up into a boiling stew of hatred and then you play the poor victim.
I'm sure you would love to have members e-mail you to hear your side but all they would be hearing are the same lies you have told so many others.
I am not going to fight with you Terri or Shirley or any of your group. I have been reading lots of threads over on Allegras about me, and I have chosen to ignore them and you. Why you want an all out war I have no clue. I will ask you again, to just leave me alone. I have done my best to stay clear of you, so please do the same.
John, As always your brugs are just beautiful. I have not seen anything you have grown that was not pretty. Nice to see you here. Cindy
John,
Welcome back and congratulations on your absolutely stunning brugs :-)
Sharon

Judy
Hi Terry ... Thank you for the welcome back? Thank you all for all the nice comments. Carter have you found it (Spider) to be a strong grower too?
Is CC and Root around anymore or less? : )
Edited to say sorry Kell I forgot ( FI Rachel ) is Klien Lady X Everlasting Ruby... I have heard KL is compost but the funny thing is while at Gommers GH in Holland both times I visited him I saw rows and and rows of them for sale so someone must be buying them!

Lucky you, John, getting to visit these greenhouses. I bet it was a site to see.
Spider has healthy growth, but hasn't grown much because it was still in it's small rooting pot. I potted it up to a gallon pot a few weeks ago, and then since I was already seeing roots out the bottom, it went up to a very large pot this past weekend. It sure puts out roots like crazy! It's liking the bigger pots, though and starting to grow out well.
oh... and lol, Ada, gosh, I wonder, huh? Look around my yard and if it doesn't have orange flowers, it has orange foliage!!! lol!
LOL Carter. I knew it. I love orange too.
Carter it it seems to be peach I think NH double peach is much more orange if you can get it to bloom! Spider is a great repeat bloomer but the color is unstable I hope people will work with it and get us that fast, big, easy to grow double orange I WANT! Delisa has a double peach that Ludger did that I got to see in person it was a knock out!
Edited to say please excuse the ripped up flowers some bee I know wanted some pollen!

Hallo, Monika
Thank you for the welcome back.. "Fleming Island Rachel' Is a triple.
I remember when I told you how much I loved your Ruby Gals when you 1st posted them.. We must not forget to give honor to Mother Nature for EP and RK.
On my second visit at Dorthea Langenburgs garden I saw many, many colored doubles it was quite a large garden and she makes the best cakes and coffee! Many of her hybrids are not seen on the sites here in the USA but it was fun to see them in person.

Oh my John, you got to go to Dorthea Langenburgs gardens? And to Gommers? How lucky are you? Did you get to see the variegated double pink? So funny to because on another forum here we are discussing a pink variegated clivia which is yet to be born but which I so lust after. Did you get any pictures?
Yes, CC is here, I talk to her a lot. I will tell her to come here for a visit. Root pops in now and then. He is putting together a new garden in the South along with a new life. I heard from him a couple of months ago but not since. He sounded good! I think he popped in on a thread or 2 since.
John,
I love your brugs.
They are very very lovely ((o:
~Alice
WOW their beautiful ! No wonder people love growing them ! You also got Photo of the day !
Thanks for sharing your pictures of your Brugs :))
Kell it's so nice in Germany I've been back 3 times! Dorthea and her husband are so nice and they give hug's too : ) Her variegated double pink is lovely in and out of bloom I've seen the mother plant in both stages and it sure is big and pretty : )
Gommers GH is giant! He and his family are just picture perfect and so friendly, Gommer is into something new with each visit one year it was hibiscus and being from Florida I'm not a stranger to them and WOW did he make some nice one's, He's back into daylilly's again.
I've also have met with a very nice doctor of botany and his wife they where great too!
But I think I enjoyed most meeting with other simple growers like myself you would not believe how friendly German gardeners are and at one growers house (almost at the Polish border)! I got to hear my first cuckoo bird call! lol guess what it sounds just like the clock!
I took lot's o PIC's but will not bore Y'all with them, This one is in the center of the Langenbergs large garden She had many colored double seedlings coming into bloom at the time but it was the German version of pound cake I was interested in!
Opp's wrong PIC .. Ludger had an import permit and THIS is the size of cuttings a seedling parent should send to a hybridzer if they bother to get an import permit in the 1st place I had my proxy copy of the permit in my front pocket when I brought these to him unfortunately I was unable to bring some of his other hybrids due to the size and condition on arrival to my home.
