Suggestion....terrarium forum

I have recently started terrarium gardening in aquariums and LOVE it.
I would really like to see a forum along these lines.
Want to you guys think?

I agree...many of you guys are from the gesneria forum and terrariums are a fun way to display them :)
I would love a place to be able to share ideas and what not on terrariums :)

Mini bamboo grass and a GREAT looking fern that is maroon underneath. I will be posting pictures of them once I take them off the card in my camera...perhaps some time tomorrow

A terrarium forum would be fabulous! Although I don't do that much growing in terrariums (yet), I would love to see what other people are doing with them... such a forum would definitely be one of my oft-visited favorites!

Terrarium Gardening is fun and Popular ! All types of plants can be used. You see them at African violet shows too . So interesting. I'd probaly make a couple fun small ones !

I've killed *everything* I've ever put in a terrarium....and I followed instructions (more than once) to the 'T'....so I'd love to see what others have to say, as well.

Ebay has a really nice tank right now and tanks can be bouhgt pretty cheaply.
I bought my 20 gallon long (which is the length of a 30 gallon tank but shorter) for 30.00 at our local petstore. I bought 2 (7.99) halogen lights to go on either side of that and they are happily sitting on my bakers rack which has now turned into a garden shelf (LOL)
Now it is just time to plant!

I am interested in wanting a terrarium forum. I bought a 10 tank and I'm ready to start. Can you have a succulent terrarium or does it have to be just tropical plants?

You can do succulents in a terrarium :) I believe a couple of people have just such terrariums :)

My daughter adored the concept of having a terrarium. I helped her set one up. Sort of. I sure wish there had been a terrarium forum then.

I wish I could find the people that have made the succulent ones. I have several little succulents that would look so neat in one. Maybe someone will see these posts and add to this forum.

I just got a very nice ball shaped terrarium and could use some assistance!!!

And I have a 10 gallon tank just sitting there waiting for me to add some plants to it.

I have a 20 gallon tank I am setting up.
Not to mention I bought 2 VERY nice terrariums off of ebay :) 3 gallon sized with mirrored backs (really snazzy!)

Laurie..I have extra bamboo grass and that pretty red and green fern ..if you want some for your terrarium..let me know

I'm watching the thread... As always, it's a balancing act to make sure we're meeting the needs of our users while also being careful to not "act on a whim" and wind up shelving a lot of unused forums in a few months ;o)

Remember, there's nothing that prevents you-all from starting some terrarium threads in the Houseplant or Garden Talk forum (for example), which can be moved if/when a new forum is created.

My friend MsC got me hooked on these. Here is a little terrarium I just purchased .It is about 10 inch tall . It's not set up yet . I just put these plants inside so you can see it better. I am also looking to for minature plants.
