um Dave error message

i refreshed several times and still this message . it was working fine earlier and seems to be okay when i get into other forums but the home page is where its at. is it just me??

No, it is not just you. I have the same stuff on mine and I can't view any of the forums.

For a few hours today we had some interestingly intermitten problems with several areas of DG. The most common message was that folks were getting a "Permission denied" message. That and all the other issues should be fixed as of this moment.

I'm having problems too- but diff from what y'all are having. The pages aren't refreshing and it says I have new messages in my watched threads when in fact I don't. Also when replying to a thread it says someone posted while I was posting but its not there, either.

I posted on DG about my problems a few hours ago and the post never showed up- go figure!

Those should be fixed too. LOL

My threads aren't marking as "read" either, and I can't "skip to new".

I am having the same exact problems. And I also posted on the DG forum and it never showed up. Now it says I have 14 unread threads when I don't. And then when I go there, the "skip to new" does not work at all. At the rate I'm going, I'll have 50 unread posts in a few minutes, when I really don't.

Well at least I know it isn't just me! I have faith that all these little problems will go away when our wonderful "Dave and crew" get through.

I can't post a new thread. I tried to create a new thread to tell you, Dave, but it won't let me. LOL I discovered the problem in the AV forum, and came here, but alas, foiled again! It keeps coming back to the preview screen no matter whether I click preview or post, and the thumbnail of the image I'm posting isn't there.

something is still wrong. I cant send mail and cant "edit" posts either.

for a change, all my stuff is working and fast too. that good old florida sunshine i suspect. plus i just ate 3 tangerines off of my tree. energy to burn! debi

My skip to new works sometimes and I just tried to start a thread in Tropicals and I can't.

Well mine has finally started working and I'm so glad. I hope that it stays working. Thanks for getting it working again Dave.

now my d-mail isn't working (can't send)

I am allowed to reply to open threads, but have not been able to post any new ones all night. When I click "preview" it seems ok but once I click send the page just "jumps" for a second and then it's still there, like I haven't pressed "send."

I tried restarting my computer, shutting down my modem, disconnecting and reconnecting to the internet. I'm about to give up.....=(

You are a god Dave but I can't edit also tonight. I often get a thread update when it was me. But that always has happened. Thank you for your hard work.

I echo this. I cannot start a new D-mail (or save one to Drafts) or a new Thread.
Oh the logical of computers, can't argue mith them. There is a cost for every convenience

Dave, same here - tried to post a new thread about this morning's DG Newsletter and it wouldn't go through???? I'll try to post my ? here.

Checked in to read Newsletter this morning and seems like something is missing - very few comments and no pics??

Due to the same problems that you are reporting here, I couldn't release any photos last evening. I'm so sorry - as sooon as Dave finds the bug I'll get them released.

Dave if you're checking in here, I couldn't start a new thread to leave you a note in the admin area - the error message when I submit the photos is this:

Database error: Invalid SQL:
MySQL Error: 1064 (You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '08:15:30)' at line 1)

I have been having the same problems. I can reply in a thread but I can't start a new thread. Every time I hit send it comes up with the same page I am trying to send and with no thumnail image.

ViolaAnn can't even get in the site she keeps getting the message,,,,, Permission denied.

Kelly, please convey to her that we're aware of the problem, and working on it. (And tell her we're really sorry!!!!)

You might also encourage her to try switching to another browser if she has one she can change to, and/or when she gets that message, hold down her Ctrl key and use her mouse to click on the circling blue (or red, depending on her browser) arrows in the browser's bar.

She can also try clearing her entire cache - typically it's under the browser's "Tool" and "Options" area.
