You have me pegged, Chele. You want to give Tom heart failure. LOL!!
And you are right, I hardly can me in my yard!
So you do most of your incredible projects alone?? Well, I know of 6 PINK ones you didn't. LOL
I may be dead when you read this
We just won't show Tom the post. :) Yes, I do most everything alone. Hubby has degenerative and rheumatoid arthritis (along with heart disease, already had his first heart attack). I drag the 25 gallon potted plants around by myself too. When it is possible, I avoid any kind of electrical and plumbing work and leave that stuff to him. I don't like things that can either kill you or ruin your house. I'm just funny that way. LOL Anyway, on a good note, hubby is very good about going to the grocery, running errands and helping with the cleaning. Sometimes his most important job is entertaining the kids so I can get work done. It all works out in the end. For about the past year and a half he has been working 7 days a week but he was able to quit his weekend job 2 weeks ago and pick up one day at his regular job. It will be nice to have him home on Sundays. :)
I remember when he cut his finger off and how scary that was with his other medical conditions, Chele. Best wishes for his continued health! I have one question though, when does he do this housekeeping and kid watching? Midnight? LOL. You both are worker bees.
So where do you get all your energy? Bottle it and you will be rich!!
LOL He does not leave for work until 2pm so if he rolls out of bed at a decent hour, he helps in the afternoon before he leaves. I thought you were gonna ask how we got six kids with him never home. Everyone else does. LOL We spend lots of time hoping he stays healthy. I appreciate your wishes too.
Oh that is a much easier and faster "task" than cleaning house! And I might add more fun too. LOL
I sure hope so too, Chele! You guys have a lot of living left to do with your beautiful family and new farm.
Kell.I wish I was out there,I would put on my Mississippi tennis shoes and help you out,for the price he is charging,I could dang near fly out there!!!!!
Tell them to put in shut off valves,I don't think this will be your last time! Get someone to come mark your underground lines, and REMEMBER where they are!LOL!
Thanks for putting a smile on my face today, makes my problems seem small!
Oh Kell, guess what I found????.....come on you can do it.....Yep a water line...I was digging up the lawn for more flower beds and thought I had hit a root so I stuck the shovel under deeper and was just prying on it to beat the band when Steve walked around the corner and yelled .."what the &*#^^ are you doing??" I told him gettin this root out...He said it wasn't a *^%$ root it was the water main line and to please not remove it. He took my shovel away from me and said he'd finish it..After I told him your story I go and do this...he swears we are related... Oh and he has'nt yet finished my digging, may have to roam out there with the shovel....Lauri
Lauri I think you and Kell just might be sisters, now I gotta put your name on a shovel as a reminder too,do not dig..!! ;0)))
Loretta..
Oh Crystal, what else was there fo rme to do?? LOL. In an emergency. post on Dave's. LOL.
Oh Root we really miss you around here. I hope life isn't being mean to you. I just talked to Eva the other day, she is good, asked about you! Email me when you are ready for some brugs!!! And thanks for the vote of confidence. NOT!! LOL
Really Loretta, but Lauri has to try much harder. I just gave mine one good dig and it was cut clean thru. Go for it Lauri!!
I told Tom it had to be brittle to break so easily. Now we have copper.
pssst Tom,
I'd look into Kevlar if I were you.
Just sayin'!
;~)
mg
I agree with MG, lol. Kevlar is the only solution.
Is it only the ladies in California that dig up their water lines??? giggle
I completely cut through our cable line a couple years ago.
not me!!!
I was doing some gardening for my Mother last Summer. She wanted some stakes put in her flower bed for her tomato plants. I brought over some nice metal stakes and drove them into her hard ground with a big hammer. I forgot that I had put her garden hose under the mulch so it didn't stand out so bad. You guessed it, 2 of the 5 stakes went through the garden hose. The next day I got to fix her hose. LOL
Blame it on the guys that sets the guidelines on how the waterpipes should be set in the ground in the non freezing zones :0))
Wherever I dig on the property by hand I CAN never hit a waterpipe. They always go strait down under the house and then they go out from the house on 5 feets dept otherwise they freeze.
Kell I promise not to send you shovels :0))......................................................may send Tom a rowboat if you do it again
janett
We California women are ones of many talents.... Anybody need a landscaper??? Lauri
