Love the pics, but will do without the snow... just wanted rain, but not this week thanks... roof is only tarpaper as of right now
Is Canada's W*I*N*T*E*R back???
Lovely pics Fancy and happy for you........unlike Blooms tho I'd really would love to see it here too. ;)
Too bad you didn't get your share, Pam. We got about another 4 fluffy inches to freshen the white up. Hope that counts for "in like a lion".
Sure enjoy your pictures Carol.
Thank you!.Snowing again the past few hours but very lightly.
And now............a chinook to melt all that snow we have had for the past 10 days. Guess what the roads are like today!
Ahh, let me think. Are they all slushy and slippery? How warm did it get today.? Any snow left? We are getting a big dump tonight, starting around midnight, so have to watch the roads and head home before it gets too bad. We'll talk roads tomorrow.
Well I dont know what the temp was but lets just say everybody was using a lot of windshield washer fluid today! Tons of snow left but this was just the first day!
Temp was mild today.......sun shining, and I was in my garden for about 3 hours this afternoon. Loved it............Elaine
We had a similar weekend here too, Roselaine. But I have heard through the nasty grapevine that it will turn rainy on Monday for a few days. Ah well, the sun was glorious while we had it and I too, enjoyed my time in the garden yesterday.
Don
Winter storms keep dancing around us........Saskatoon/Prince Albert seem to be snow magnets this year. We did have some bad weather (rain/little snow) on the first so hopefully the lamb is coming soon.
Our forecast for this week is for gradually increasing temps until we're in the double digits by Friday. A small taste of spring :-)
Well up here in Alaska it is finally cold. The weather report has freezing Spray. Thats new. It is for the boats going out in the Bering. But it is sunny and 25 F up here. Burr that is cold for Alaska.
There are a chorus of violins being played here on the prairies for you Stofer! ;) Now you really gotta be fair and report the temps of inland Alaska (away from the sea).
Today is kind of grey but we've been having wonderful sunny weather. That's how Ma Nature arranges things around my birthday. LOL
On Friday my daughter Pam and I are going to Canada Blooms in Toronto. We skipped last year because we were disappointed with their showing in 2004.
Will be taking tons of pictures so keep your peepers open for my posts.
Joan
Happy Birthday Joan! Happy Birthday to you Happy Birthday to you Happy Birthday Happy Birthday Happy birthday to youuuuuuuuuuuuuu!
Thank you Soferdig. I googled for where you were and came up with this map. It appears that you are out in the wilderness. Is that true or just the way the map shows things? Joan

Yes that is where I live but that isn't in the boonies compared to where I'm working. Google Kodiak Island Alaska. This is the boonies. We are being pummeled by winds over 75 miles an hour. The entire island is covered with the ash that blew in about 7 years ago from the volcano west of here. The sun is out and you can't go outside and stay standing. This is fun.
hmmmmmmmm guess it's only reciprocating the heat we've gotten from you in the summer (from Nevada actually;). It sure does sound weird to me too.
It IS moisture tho Blooms and you too needed it desperately. Did you make a snowball???
Oh dear - sorry about that Blooms. We'll try to do better from now on :-) But WE DON'T WANT IT BACK!!!!!!!
--Ginny
That was very, very, very generous of you Ginny! said with tongue-in-cheek ;)
Since she'd gladly send hers anywhere!
Well I'm sure we didn't send any down that way from here. The days are getting lovely and mild, but still lots of snow to melt and it just keeps coming. A little bit, every few days. Blooms, I can't feel too sorry for you. Maybe just a wee tiny bit............nah, can't.
LOLOLOL I see our snowbound (and a wee bit crusty;) echoes is up.
Sure, blueberry pie. Flakey on the outside. Sweet and mushy on the inside.
LOLOL yep a lot like the snow outside. ;) That'd be here in town.
How many inches of snow do you have there anyways???

I will dust off my camera and try to take a few shots for you today. You are going to be so jealous.
I'll :'( for a minute or two but I'll get over it. The East/Wet Coasters made me toughen up a couple of months ago. ;)
We did get a half inch of desperately needed moisture. But you think washing your car makes it rrain? try taking off your roofing. Actually, the major portion of the roof on the side it was removed is covered with the new metal roofing... can you say 'slippery when wet' ... it's only the mudroom jut out that remains unfinished.
And you right we need the moisture desperately. which is good as the snow flurries are to continue off and on for the next several days. So all in all thank you Canada.
Well, my goodness, report from North Vancouver, BC, today.........can you beleive it ......snow in March, cotton balls falling and now sunshine out the window as I write!!!! Elaine
Oh my! Whassup with this weird weather anyway? --Ginny
LOL Elaine......... ♪ Killing me softly here ♫ ;)
I'm going out to tear our newly shingled roof off now.........sorry 'bout that piece of news Blooms.
However if'n it had all come down as snow, & with a little cooler temps, it would have been easier to sweep away. ;)
BTW winter will be giving up it's grasp pretty soon.........even the binkys on the prairie bare tundra are getting a peppered coat. They're much happier now that they will be blending in with their surroundings soon.

binkys?
Look out Vancouver Island It is still blowing up here for the 3rd day. coming your way soon. Yesterday gusts over 100mph. The house has been vibrating all night. I went out to take sunrise pictures today and turned the truck to block the wind off the ocean and I thought it was going to roll over so I had to point it into the wind. It is cold here 15F wind chill ?
Winter came back this morning after some nice warm sunny days.
I was driving out to the arena where we store our agility equiupment with a car load of new equipment. Didnt think anything about the weather - just as I hit the edge of town it started to snow heavily and visibility was severely reduced. I got out there OK and tried to drive around to the back door where I could actually drive inside to unload but got stuck in all the snow from last week! Finally got out but had to unload the car at the front of the arena and carry it quite a ways!
Glad the dogs were out with their dog walker today so I dont have to take them out.
Binkys = Jack Rabbits & Bush Rabbits A nickname used for them by DH who, being a farm boy, watches the size of their population closely.
Kelli in California reported a cold front coming down......looks like her report was more accurate than what the weathernetwork was showing.
LOL........keep going echoes! Not doing toooooooooooooooo bad here. ;) It really is hard to believe the differences between our locations.
So how's your DH Ark building skills coming along? ;)
