What a cool shot! Ü
Is Canada's W*I*N*T*E*R back???
Awwwwwwwww! :) Yup your Zoe looks alot like my Lily (Siamese cat) who is currently frying her remaining brain cells on top of the radiator.
It looks cold there. I'm not a fan of blustery winds. We may be colder but at least the sun is shining (sure didn't see a lot of it this winter).

luckygardnr - That is a beautiful shot. Something I'd expect to see in National Geographic. Good going. Joan
Still sunny and windy here. About 10,000 homes without power since last night and probably until this evening. My deck didn't freeze, but the bird bath is frozen solid. I better get the hummingbird feeder filled, the poor hummers will really need it now. Currently 0*C and winds 50-70kph.
Linda
nice shot lucky!
bird bath is frozen solid.
Awesome photo, luckygardnr.
Don
Off the roads is right. We're not going anywhere. Just staying in nice and warm and cozy - and safe! Thanks Pam!
Thank you all for letting me know what winter is really like. We people up here in Alaska are feeling left out. It is raining a little. Gee Whizz. I miss winter.
Next time I'm turning my fans in MT's direction. :)~ BTW Avon's Skin-So-Soft works GREAT against Black Flies. :)
echoes we went to see Mikado tonight (it's DS's last musical.....grade 12 year). Will try to wrestle the camera from him. Cast party is here tomorrow night. :S
yeah I have used Avon Skin so soft before. Love it. See even Mikado can survive the snows of winter. You guys are lucky. My wife and I love to go to the theater. I haven't yet gotten her to go to the Opera. Though its a long drive from Kalispell to see Opera. My favorite is Norma. The last scene with she and her lover walking into the fires is so spectacular. What an Aria!
yeah I have used Avon Skin so soft before. Love it
But how else do I keep my skin soft and paddle my pretty boat? It does work well down here so I'll eliminate it for up on the N. Saskatchwan. I usually use REI'S stuff. Have you ever used it?
I miss all the discussion up here cause we are two hours different than I was in Kalispell. Bummer

Nope.........just got worried you'd really believe me. However if you just want to smell pretty for the wolves, coyotes, lost mad trappers, etc. go ahead. :)

BC might kick in soon but yup, at this time, it's usually just me.
How many girl trapper get lost up there? This might be a real adventure. You know I might meet a French Canadian Girl Trapper. My experience with one on a kayak trip was unique. She and her husband were camped on an isolated island on the west coast of Vancouver. We spent several days sharing company and food that we caught and collected. Mussels, Salmon, Crab etc. Then we went on our way in different directions. About 3 months later I got a call from her to come to their house and visit for the weekend. So I drove from Seattle to Portland and knocked on their door. When I entered she showed me my bedroom and started serving wine and dinner. When we were eating I asked her where her husband was and she told me that they were not married and he was out of her life. Well that left me in a "sticky wicket". She persued me all night and I made my escape early in the morning. Those FC are quite focused on their conquests.
Oh how I wished I knew your DW's email addy. ;) Re: the lady trappers (hunters/explorers) I'm sure there's more than a few nowadays. Best be careful up there......
She know the whole story. I left the FC and never came back. My DW is sure that I'm going to die on the N Sask. I'm sure girlie trappers are the least of her worries. I want her to go with me but she doesn't think it is a good idea. Talk her into going with me. I will miss her on the long paddle. Besides she does most of the paddling with me in the stern sleeping.
My condolences to your DW. ;)
Lucky that is a really cool picture, I can see a winner in a contest for sure.
It's still snowing in southern Ontario but hey, only 30 more days till spring!
lucky - that's a fantastic photo.
Soferdig - cute girlie-trapper story.
What terrible weather we had here yesterday. We had a flash freeze. 38 car pileup between Ottawa and Montreal. 30 car pileup on the highway east to Ottawa and they closed the highway on the highway west to Renfrew. Luckily, hubby was home safe and sound. The ice chisel was the tool of choice here today, rather than the snow shovel!
Sandy
Take care of the Plants Sandy so when we show up none are dammaged to be shipped back to US. Place propane heaters all around the garden so the plants don't get cold. We now will have to put back our plans. I was hoping to gather your garden when the dormant season was on.
this thread has just become tooo funny. what do you treat on kodiak island - the grizzlies???
we had winter this week - it was awful and it can go away again
for truly funny we have a group in the city that have organized to remind us regularly of the terrible effects of global warming and all the wonderful things we will loose like outdoor rinks.
they organized an outdoor hockey game for wednesday nite when it dropped to -28 with a windchill of -40; don't think outdoor ice is an endangered species here just yet. LOL
We ask the grizzlies if they want treatment first. Then when we have to take their temperatures we ask them what do they think it is. Then when we have a diagnosis we ask them if they want to hear it. Then when we start treatment no shots only Berry flavored medicine. We don't want them to get any meat flavored medications for obvious reasons. The really tough problems here are when we have sexually transmitted disease in the bear population I have to interview their sexual contacts to help spreading the disease. And you got to know how pissed off the sows get when they hear that! Here is a typical day at work.
LOLOL aren't you glad you asked him Lynn???
we need more vets with a sense of humour - maybe you could do a locum here LOLOL
Was someone drinking Alpine Mists last night? Hoo Hoo! a little risque' for us modest Canadians.
LOL I wonder how his head feels today???

Dang, another party I missed!
You got that right. Being a veterinarian I did not think much about it. but I woke up early this morning trying to take it off. I couldn't. Sorry.
I am off to church today to ask the Lord's grace. We all are sinners.
Well, that is the problem newbies sometimes run into, the edit button works great when we feel we have overstepped, but it doesn't allow us to remove our own pictures. I think your asking that they be romoved should go a long way to saving your grace. There would be a lot of us that would be very disappointed in your "removal", especially after such remorseful begging. Surely people don't lose their priviledges that easy. Dave is known to be a forgiving kind of guy.
He's pretty good at forgiving. We will survive. ;)
you were quick on the draw echoes. ;)
Just happened along.
Your wording was very well done :)
