Maria, those crepes look very yummy! Plus, Samson in the snow up to his belly is just too funny!

Maria I called the DH in here and showed him Samson's picture. LOL Yikes That's a lot of snow!

Suzie, sounds like you and McCool are buried in the white stuff like Maria (and Samson) LOL LOL

Susan, I'm glad to hear you finally talked to your DD. Hope she is doing better with those pain meds now. I know you'll feel much better when she gets to her regular physician tomorrow, though. She's in my thoughts and prayers.

Got to go to the kitchen. Will check back later.

Susan, glad you heard from DD. Hope she can get to the Dr. first thing tomorrow.

Here is a picture of a snowdrift on my front porch. Doesn't the little dutch girl look, cute draped in snow.

Here is another of the sun going down. It looked much prettier in person.

And this is a picture of our old smokehouse. My grandparents used to smoke bacon and ham in there. Now it's where I keep all my garden stuff.

9Kit - oh dear, hoping your daughter gets better pronto. A red cervix-= never heard of that before. But I did have my appendix out - never in terrible pain, just unrelenting cramps. Mother's always worry - that's our middle name.

I feel kinda wiped out - haven't done anything to speak of today. DH made some BBQ for dinner, not my favorite, but since I didn't volunteer to make anything, I ate it with no complaints. What I would really like is a malt now tho!! Maria and Darius - I need you both here to cook for me!

Snowed on and off all day -but nothing like you folks out east got!! It's been a stormless winter here for the most part. Not that I am complaining!

Busy day tomorrow- gotta go to the bank and complain that I never received some tax info, call our investment guy (just emailed him and it was returned -grr) work out, and dinner with some friends who are still teaching. Hope my headache is history by then...

Time to watch some more olympics..

Well she's back at the ER. Still don't know what's wrong.

Back to the waiting and worrying.

Susan, I am so sorry, this is such an awful down news for you, hope all will go away soon, please take care of yourself.

Rehoboth, MA(Zone 5a)

is DG slow or is it me?

Lambertville, NJ(Zone 6a)

DG has been slow for me too Maria. Been that way all day. How are you doing with all the snow? Don't try going outside in it. Hope you have someone to dig you out.

Oh Susan, hope your daughter is OK. Keep us posted.

Sarv - you probably feel wiped out from getting so upset with DH. Does it to me every time. Stress will knock you on your hiney.

Rehoboth, MA(Zone 5a)

I am fine, Susy, so happy to have Samson, he keeps me busy drying him off from in and out, in and out, lol
Always have drive plowed, he came twice he also shovels the paths, I have a long drive, he charges 45.00 a clip, last year was the pits, so far it has been better with the mild weather we have had, but who knows what might be coming yet

Sarv, just relax, take a deep breath several times and just let it all hang out, sorry about you not getting the D-mail, it said could not be delivered for some reason

Susan, try the same even though it is hard when a mother is overwhelmed about the trouble her child is in

Bartlesville, OK(Zone 6a)

I have put the daily up already, sorry it is so early, I don't know if I am going to stay up late tonight or not.

We did hear from Jennifer. She has a kidney stone. They gave her a morphine drip in the hospital so she is kind of out of it right now. She is supposed to drink a bunch of water and strain her urine with the urine strainer so she will know when it passes. I think she will KNOW, don't you?????

She said actually she can deal with it now that she knows what it is and that she is not about to die. LOL
Not funny, but I know exactly what she means.

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.

Susan, I know you are so relieved just to *know* what in the heck is wrong. I'm sure that's the way she feels also. Am praying she will feel much better tomorrow. Sorry I didn't notice your post in time to help with the daily. I've never done it before, but think I understand how. If no one will throw eggs at me if I goof ... I'll be willing to help some.
Well, I've been in one of my moods again lately and have been trying some different recipes. We had Thai Tempeh with jasmine rice
It was very very good. I'll stick that one in the to have again list. Got that recipe from one of the DG'ers in the recipe forum.

Well, I'm off to see what's going on.

Susan,

So relieved that they've found the source of your daughter's pain and hope that it passes OK. Do keep up posted on her progress.

Spent the evening watching Olympics and sewing the afghan (remember the afghan?) together. I have only three more long rows to sew together and it will all be in one piece. then crochet a border of some king around it and it's done!

Heading off to bed. Still have the cold but don't feel too bad. Hope I don't start coughing the moment I go to bed.

have a good night everyone.

Well, I have read everything, and there is no way that I am going to reply to individuals. You all have been very busy and talkative today. Kittymom, I do hope the DD gets to feeling better. And to those who are having the snow,in great amounts, warm hugs to all of you. We have snow but it is the minimal kind. About 2-3 inches. I can deal with that. To those whose animals have done cute, exceptional things, I have enjoyed all the comments and the pics. And to those who are having cold, when it is not normal, grab the afghans, blankets, sweats and whatever else is handy and keep warm.

Well DH called about 3:30 and said that there was no way that he was leaving his mom to come home and go do the Mystery Dining assignment. That was okay, as I had already recruited DS and girlfriend to go with me. We went, it was a very busy time, the service was mediocre, but food as always delicious. DS and girlfriend had never been to a Smokey Bones, and they thought it was wonderful. Now I have 2 very willing volunteers to accompany me anytime I need them!! Came home and DH called to say that they did not surgically put chest tubes in, just did the procedure with the needles. But she is breathing much better, and the amount of fluid was not as great as has been in the past. So that probably means that things may be looking up.

Read some tonight and watched Desparate Housewives. It is very quiet and lonely with me, Mr. B and Miss Boots in the house.

To whomever that got the new fur kitty in the bed last night, that is a vote of confidence. Have tried to convince my two, (a dog and cat) that there is enough room for both, but Miss Boots is not buying it!!

Well, I want to really thank all who have had DMIL in thoughts and prayers over this past 6 weeks. It has been a very trying time, and hopefully in the near future, we can all get back to normal, if I can only remember what normal looks and feels like. When all settles down, DH and I are taking a long weekend to just kick back, go somewhere without phones and relax. Doesn't that sound lovely?

To all who are ailing, my warm thoughts and prayers are with you.

I am going to check out some other forums, and then to bed.

Goodnight all.
