Good Morning All
Here's the daily con't from
http://davesgarden.com/place/t/574496/

Have a good day,
Kelly

Ottawa, ON(Zone 5a)

My goodness, am I really the first? Probably not by the time I type this. Were you all up late last night?

Mostly I want to say to DR that I really feel for your son. It's a crushing real let down to be so close to realizing a dream and have a physical problem interfere. He certainly will be in my thoughts as is defoe's MIL

Mary, the Canadian $ is quite high at the moment - close to 87 cents US ; so $60 Cdn equals a bit over $50 US.

Have a good day everyone.

Ann

south of Grand Rapid, MI(Zone 5a)

Morning everyone- just finished english muffins with strawberry preserves - they were so good, I had a second helping...yum..They really hit the spot this morning!!

DR- awwww so sorry about the no wrestling...That really does "suck" for your son. But I suppose doc/coach knows best and wouldn't want any permanent injury to make life really bad for your son. But that still is a bitter pill for him to swallow at his age.

Talking about glasses, I desperately need a new pair- I am not seeing well out of these. While I was working (and had great insurance) I used to get a new pair every year. This went on for over 15 yrs - as my eyes got worse every year. Plus I thought they were facial jewelrey and I needed something different. The year I retired I did n't get new glasses or have my eyes testet and now it's going on three years - I really need to get in there as I can tell I can't see as well as I need to. But gosh, $800 for glasses is just ridiculous!! Our retirement insurance will pick up a little but, but not much. I have trifoclas, along with the special tint (I have huge eye balls and they let in too much light) Plus I have to get real light frames as I can't stand the pressure on my nose. I already have huge grooves in each side of my nose. Wish I could tolerate contact lenses!! I'm going to call and make an appointment today!

Vi- that food gala sounds fun!! I've never been to an oh-la-la one. We go to Sams to get their freebies! LOL I don't have much of an oh la la life anyhow... Good of you to continue to bail out the new guy at the FB. Bet he really appreciates it!

Darius - I am really pouting about all your green showing....whaaaa Freezing cold here, gloomy, -yuck.. I'll have to be content with planting seeds. I spent hours looking at Parks catalog last night (finally got the darn thing!) Do you have to worry about frost anymore? Molly - did ya get goldfish? Our neighbor has a pool and he has g/fish and koi. They are certainly fun to watch - kids get a honk out of feeding them. I could stare at them for hours on end. Good thing I dont have any - I'd never get anything done around here!!

I've had the same hairdresser for years and years. I think of her as part of my family!! The only bad thing is that I seem to get the same hair cut/doo. But I have nasty, thin hair and there isn't a whole lot you can do with it. Part it on the left side - then part it on the righ side... Sometimes I feel like a man who is trying to cover up his bald spot with a comb over. Maybe I'll have to start wearing hats!!

Well, cat is scratching at the door, so I better sign off- he already did major damage to the screens....

Archer/Bronson, FL(Zone 8b)

Carol, I am so sorry about your son. I am sure there was much more involved in his wrestling than the gratification of the sport alone.

Ann, I have been up for an hour, but like to wait for Sarv to wake up. You got the record now though.

I was up late but it makes no difference around here for wake up time. The dogs have to get me up just before sunup. Just like having babies in the house. This routine keeps me from being able to watch a full tv program after 9 at night. I drift off on the couch, wake up at the end of each program I wanted to watch. Did that last night and came in here and updated my diaries and played a little solitaire.

We've been putting off getting the siding purchased for a couple weeks now for the pump house. We really needed to spend time in the garden to lift our spirits and motivations up. It was all hard work, but the yards are looking so much better now even if they are covered with a layer of frost.

Let's see what the day brings to us.

Molly
:^)))

Archer/Bronson, FL(Zone 8b)

Yup Sarv, Got the goldfish, more pond plants and put them all in yesterday. We are in a freeze warning until early Friday morning. These warnings are only for nighttime. Day temp today should be up around 62. That is plenty warm when the skies are clear and the sun is shining.

Didn't I show yall?

Here ya go.

Good morning everyone!

DR - So sorry about your son and not being able to wrestle. What will happen now, will they remove the bone spur? It's so hard when your kids are hurting. (((hugs))) to you and your son.

Thanks for the birthday wishes yesterday. Went out for dinner last night, nothing fancy, a nice little place called the Country Griddle. Good food. Had stuffed flounder that was really good. Taking the rest for lunch today.

Came home and started to catch up with you guys last night when I heard a comotion in the living room. Darn toilet overflowed. What a mess, water everywhere. Someone must have used too much paper. Grrrrr!

Got my first seed order in the mail from Burpee. Now getting anxious to start some.

Molly - Bad neighbors are the pitts! Hope they aren't to much of a pain in the hiney.

I need to get glasses also. I'm way overdue. Mine were about $425 last time. I have bifocals and pay extra for the thin lenses so it doesn't look like i'm wearing bottle bottoms. When I replace these, I want to try the ones that get darker when you go outside. I know they will be even more expensive, but cheaper than buying Rx sunglasses as well.

Gotta get my butt moving. Have a good day! See ya later!

Merrimac, WI(Zone 4b)

Carol - There is no way of knowing what might happen in a wrestling match. Being able to participate isn't worth possible brain damage, paralysis, or death. I will keep your son in my prayers for his health and that he finds something else he is interested in.

God bless,
Jody

Good Morning Everyone !

This is my first parking lot post . suzieq2761 I'm SO sorry to hear about your bathroom I hope it didn't get into the carpet ! I'm glad you had a good BDay dinner last night ! . I love the country griddle. Hope you can make it to my place for dinner.

DR I'm very sorry to hear about your son. Everything always has a way of working out.

Heitzenn
(Nancy)

Lambertville, NJ(Zone 6a)

Hey Nan. Glad you finally made it here. You'll love this place.

waukesha, WI(Zone 5a)

Welcome Nancy, stick around for the calorie free cyber treats and pour yourself a cuppa. It's all self serve.. Also belated Happy
Birthday, Suzie, guess I overlooked it in my rant yesterday! Glad you got dinner out, but sorry to hear about the water disaster! Isn't that a hideous sound? When we first moved in to this house, I had a load in the washer and was putzing around in the basement when I heard water....lots of water.....coming down the stairs, etc. Yikes! Ran up and found something had fallen in the stationary tub that the washer empties into and plugged the drain! Floors, stairs etc. were very clean. What a mess.

DR it's shame about your son not being able to continue wrestling. I guess it's better that he not do further damage and possibly have life long problems, but it's hard to swallow. Especially for teens, who take things so much harder.

Hope this day finds everyone feeling chipper and the sun is shining for you. Don't have much to add this morning except to say hello to all. Gonna attack the laundry monster and tidy up the clutter so I can take the day off tomorrow and have fun.

Later!

Sheila

Merrimac, WI(Zone 4b)

Welcome, Nancy!

Happy be-lated birthday, Suzie!

Lambertville, NJ(Zone 6a)

Sue at least you don't have those "lo flow" toilets like I have. Believe me you can't get anything sizeable down them ... LOL

Ottawa, ON(Zone 5a)

Welcome Nancy,

I haven't met you before, I don't think. I look forward to getting to know you.

Ann

Baker City, OR(Zone 5b)

Good morning.

Carol, I know this has to be the most disappointing thing your son has ever had to face, but the doctor really can't approve him to continue because it might cause worse and permanent damage. I know, we pay them to look and give us their expert opinion and then aren't happy with the results. Wrestling is very stressful on the body, but the body changes to protect itself. I know, it is hard to see that bone spur as protection at this time. I hope your son can refocus and come through this with a positive attitude. I'll be praying for him to make a good adjustment.

Hello Nancy, welcome to Coffee and.... I live just west of you, about 3000 miles, and just about 4 miles below the 45th parallel. Out on the interstate there are signs when we cross it that tell that we are half way between the north pole and the equator.

Susieq, are you still cleaning up the toilet water? Bummer, I hope it didn't cause any lasting damage. I'm glad you had a nice dinner out before you had the toilet problem. You are exactly a year older than my youngest son if 61 is your birth year. His birthday was also yesterday but we gave him his gift on Sunday when he was here to watch the Superbowl game. They have been doing some belt tightening with his wife in school and not earning any money, and not having grants or scollarships, so we thought a Starbucks card would be just the thing. They enjoy the fancy coffees and that was one thing they said they were gonna have to do without. The cost of the courses isn't that bad but ooooo the price of the textbooks.

Molly, that pond is looking good abd I know you'll get great enjoyment from it. Will the nearby trees shade it when they finally get leaves? Where is it in relation to your sitting area?

It's looking like a pretty day but I don't know what it will feel like. We had about 18 degrees overnight, so it will take a while to warm up. Meanwhile, there is some laundry to do, bread pudding to make, french dressing to make, and counters and tables to unclutter. They look so nice when they're empty, let's see, what year was that?

Have a great day, count your blessings.

Rehoboth, MA(Zone 5a)

welcome, Nancy, have a piece of peacan pie. it is on the counter with coffe

south of Grand Rapid, MI(Zone 5a)

Welcome Nancy - pull up a chair and tell us all about yourself!! Good and bad are all acceptable! We'll help you thru the rough spots and cheer with you in any happiness!!

Happy BD suz. Are you telling your age??? LOL

Well, beds made, dishes done, vacuumed and potted up 7 coleus cuttings, 2 containers of new lupine seeds, and tried a pot each of the new coneflowers. They are supposedly sterile, but what the heck!! Don't understand that sterile stuff yet!!

Big boohaa rah in our town. Pics of teens from the high school drinking were posted on the internet. Now there are fights going on - school punish or what!! It's all the talk of radio and newspaper. I can just sit back and listen - DGS isn't old enough to get into that stuff yet, but I'm sure it will come along soon. Not sure how I feel actually...

Time for a snack and a bit of pop.....

Bartlesville, OK(Zone 6a)

Welcome Nancy, glad to see you here.

DR I am so sorry about your son. I know his heart is broken, these things mean so much to them.

I have to tell about something that you will probably think is crazy, but then you know how I am.

I have a 55 gallon aquarium with lots of great fishies and 9 cory catfish that are so much fun to watch. They go around in a little school and are so cute. Anyway, there have been many times when they have laid eggs. They paste them on the side of the aquarium walls. They have done this probably five or six times. The other fish come and greedily eat the eggs off as fast as they lay them.

Ysterday, as I was watching the aquarium, out of the mossy plants comes a teeny tiny Cory Kitten!!!
That is a baby Cory catfish in case you didn't catch that. LOL It is adorable, it is about 3/4 inch long and not even 1/4 inch thick. But perfectly formed and colored just like a big Cory Cat. It is soooooo busy hunting for its food. I said well where did YOU come from. I can't imagine that an egg made it and developed. I was so excited, I called DH in to look at him. All I can figure is an egg must have fallen off into the moss and the fish didn't find it to gobble it up. He has to be at least 5 or 6 weeks old, because they start out soooo tiny. It just cheers me up to go watch him, he has staked out a small corner of the aquarium and is very busy keeping it clean. LOL

If you remember, I am the one with the baby Golden apple snails. They are getting very big too, I have the betta tank just for the snails now. Another weird thing, but you know how it is.

Well, that is my big news for the day.

Gotta go do an exercise session, I am getting better. At physical therapy they can move my arm way up almost over my head. Hurts, but in a good way.

Susan
=^..^=

Merrimac, WI(Zone 4b)

Susan - how fun! I have a small (maybe 15 gallon) tank with one lonely fan-tail goldfish that DH named Smokey to irritate his sister. Her cat's name is Smokey. I have tried adding other fish - one at a time - but the others have died. Maybe Smokey is an assassin!

Jody

Millbury, MA(Zone 5a)

Hi folks,

A special Hi and welcome to Nancy. I think you'll like it here, but watch out -- it IS addictive!

Happy belated Suzieq!

I didn't get a chance to post last night because DH was firmly rooted in front of the computer, snarling at his first post as an Ebay seller, cause the thing just wouldn't upload. We just heard yesterday that DH did not get the job with the conservation services group. Rats! They told him "It was close." Well, big whoops, that's some consolation, isn't it?

Carol, so sorry about you son's problems. At least you found out before major harm was done. Once he gets over the immediate disappointment, I'm sure he'll agree that it's better to lose the wrestling than to end up paralyzed for the rest of his life. I know that you were both hoping for a scholarship based on his wrestling abilities, but there are a lot of different scholarships out there. Maybe some internet searches could bring some appropriate ones to light? Wish I could be of more concrete help than that suggestion, but perhaps some others at his school who are aware of the situation might be able to help.

Hey D'cat, I'll try to get some info for you on the smaller airports around here. If you do go to Foxwoods, perhaps we could meet. I'm a member of the Mashantucket Pequot Museum there and could get you and at least one other person in free. It's well worth a visit (in my not so humble opinion). Here's a link to their site http://www.pequotmuseum.org/
I know that there's an airport called Bradley International (that last bit is something of a joke, though) right in Connecticut, but have no idea how easy it would be to get there from your location.

Kelly, sorry the Dome book wasn't a big help for you. If I had to try to organize everything AND do inventory at the same time every year, I'd probably have had a nervous breakdown by now.

M5, love those Sammi pics. I keep meaning to get a picture of "Slim" (aka, "Mr. Big", and "You Bugger") but don't know how to operate DH's camera and mine usually resides at my store.

Everyone else, I'm thinking of all of you and will try to address others next time, but will probably end up growing into this chair if I don't get up and get moving.

Later!

Lambertville, NJ(Zone 6a)

Hi - Thanks you guys are so sweet ! Well lets see , I'm the younger sister to suzie2761 by about 14 years ! I recently got into gardening about four or five years ago when my husband and I were first married. I was lucky enough at the time to have a landlord that let us have a garden. My husband and I recently built a house next door to my sister's farm "suzieq2761". It's a very nice place to live because my mother lives on the oppisite side of my sisters. The three of us usualy get together for tea every Thursday. Or at least when my parents aren't traveling the continental US.

My new house if pretty much like a blank slate. It's a very square house in the middle of what used to be a corn field. So I definately have my landscaping cut out for me. If just a matter of finding the time and more importantly the money to do so. I look forward to getting to know all of you. Happy gardening.

Nancy

Schroon Lake, NY(Zone 4a)

Hi again,
I'm here, glasses all fixed, cold pretty much better, allergist appointment out of the way...I feel good! Thanks for all your sympathy for my little but ANNOYING problems! I am so crabby when I can't see I am ashamed of myself!
Now so much catching up!

Orchidfancy~if you have a recipe for rose petal jam posted anywhere would you please send a link? I have tons of wild roses and hips I'd love to try using.

m5 ~ Now i just read your post about being cranky, and it's nothing compared to how I've been, but tnak GOd no MIL problems (they live far away). I'm thinking of getting an animal vac...don't know if the dogs would tolerate it, but it would be handy with sheddy horses and my allergies. oh that Sammi is too too cute, and doesn't he just radiate HIGH SELF ESTEEM!! And I AM going to get a couple cheapie pairs of spare glasses, (not that cheap since they're bifocals) but I was lucky this time they didn't have to be sent out, or I'd be crabbing for a week or two!

MaryE~ It's cold here too for riding - I did my jumping lesson but not too enthusiastically, stiill getting over a cold and having frozen toes. My DS borrowed my camera for his "Military Ball" (prom), so no pics here. I hope I can steal some of the prom pictures though.

MollyMc~ WHY do people have to be nasty just for the heck of it?? Wait till the horses get out someday and end up in your yard....(And I always wonder how can you be nasty when you're lucky enough to have horses? or beautiful land like yours? And peace is all around you?)
Your pond is beautiful, that's going to be a real mood lifter.

Elaine~LOL at you guys trading housework. Wouldn't it be great? It would go by so much better....

Babs~ HI - nice to see you here again...

defoecat~Sounds like you've been busy too. ANd Mr. B all grown up and on the town....I hope DMIL is improving. Having fluid building up in the lungs sounds like misery to me. DM's house will be so pretty with new borders and carpeting. And I love freshly painted rooms. It will feel like spring!

sarv~oh, cleaning out the trunk in preparation for soil...I could do that! I avoid the trunk for the most part, but for potting soil I could do it!! You got a lot done too! The scrapbboking supplies reminds me I should start a couple Valentines any day now! I can't imagine trying to pay for trifocals....but soon enough that'll be me to prolly

darius~ glad you're having fun! I guess it's cooled off everywhere but AZ and Southern CA.

VAnn~ Yes, you have glasses like mine! I have an astigmatism and bifocals, and they end up being around $500/pair. I buy them a full service place near here, but they did fix my frames while I waited. Last time I broke them they put the lenses into a new set of frames for me within a day. They do try hard, and they don't charge for repairs. But I wear them all the time, so the cost per minute of wear is quite small! And boy do they make a difference! It's just hard to shell out for two pairs, and the insurance covers almost none of it. The food festival sounds like a great cure for cabin fever.

CAROL~(dr)Oh I am so sorry for your son's disappointment. You are not a bad mother. ALSO there are other doctors. My older daughter fell off her horse and had a terrible elbow dislocation, with torn ligaments and bone chips. She was fencing at the national level and hoping to use it for college leverage. The DR> smirked and said "Welp, you won't be FENCING anymore" like it was a big joke. She was 16. I told him off, left the office and told the receptionist in a loud voice that I was APPALLED at the doctor's insensitivity. My daughter was profoundly depressed. Another orthopod gave us an emergency appointment thru a friend, and his nephew was also a fencer....he sent her to physical therapy and worked with her and encouraged her. She now fences at U of Rochester and is a HAPPY KID, and she KNOWS you can FIGHT BACK> It's an important life lesson, more than any sport. She will never be as strong as she might have been, but she's happy.
Get another opinion. Live doesn't suck unless you let it. Even if he can't do exactly what he thinks he wants to now, he definitely has fighting spirit that will get him to the next level of his life. I'm praying for you and your son, and I'm here with my pompoms, cheering my fool head off!! You go girl, and guy!! GO GO GO!!

FC~I finally went to an allergist this morning. I may start desesitizing shots....I know the misery and the benadryl coma!! Hope you're over your attack.

Heitzenn~Welcome

Suzieq~HAPPY BIRTHDAY! So sorry about the toilet...they always know how to celebrate! Mine usually does it for Thanksgiving.

Maria~oh my gosh, pecan pie! If I ever cooked and baked like you I would be in the guinness book for world's fattest person!!

9kittymom~now you're 9kitty1corykitten mom! Congratulations! I hope he does well and continues to entertain! Glad your arm is improving as well.

Oh thank God for glasses and orthotics and antihistamines....I feel like a new person and wish all of you healing of your ills as well. We even have sun today (18 dgrees, but I'll be doing laundry and it's warm by the dryer!!)

Good day everyone!!

Yikes! I've been trying to post *all* day! I had actually started to have withdrawal symptoms ... tremors and the sweats. LOL LOL Oh how I'm spoiled by Dave. Have missed all y'all terribly. Now let me see if I can catch up.

Heitzenn, welcome to coffee. It's so good to see you drop by. Please do come back. You'll love it hear. So many nice people ... and good cooks!

Carol, I'm so sorry to hear about your son's injury. I know it's very hard on him to have to give up a dream ... and a second opinion isn't a bad idea. Of course I guess there isn't time for that right now for the next big event. But, for his health diagnosis ... I'm sure you'll be doing that. :)

DMC, so glad you got those glasses fixed. That can be a real pain in the behind. Glad you didn't have to get your RX changed, though. That use to make me feel cross eyed. LOL

Hey Suzie ... yuck ... plumbing problems are *bad* enough ... but on *your* birthday? Wow, how lucky can you be!!

Susan, that's just wonderful about your new little fish. Sooo sweet. And great news about your PT. You go girl!

Hmmm, lets see.

Okay, let's just call a truse and y'all let me get by with a big wave today. There's just too much to catch up on. Oh, I do need to say hi to Defoe and wish your MIL good luck and say I'm sending hugs and many prayers. To those who I've neglected please excuse me today. Maria, Sarv, Molly, Kelly, Hap, Pati, OZ and all the rest ... you are each one special and your posts are always enjoyed.

Hugs all way round ... Elaine
:)

Happy Birthday, Susie, what are your plans?

McCool, can't remewmber who asked for advice, I have been to Foxwoods a few times, I think the best way is to fly to Providence, RI, it is just a hop and a jump from there

Whidbey Island, WA(Zone 7b)

GM! GOBs and 'Ettes!

Yep, it's still morning here in the PNW, for another hour anyway. I've been doing loads of laundry, vacuuming, dusting, putting the meat out to thaw for supper tonight, on the phone to dealers in the area for a utility trailer (for hauling junk to the dump), and receiving phone calls from my elderly Mum.

She's a hoot this morning. She knows my DH and I will be there in the evening with supper in hand. We go to her house every Wednesday and either bring with or make supper there. She put her bid in today for something hot and spicy. Woohoo! In her wonderful Scots burr she said, "Canny ya make it a bit on the spicy side lass and don't forget the salsa fresca while yer at it?!? I need me a good whirl around the loo in the morning and iffin it's a wee spicy, I'll have a good blast." "Ya know how us OAP's (old age pensioners) can get bound up like cellotape (Scotch tape) on yer fingers." "I'll be spot on if ya put some extra jalapenos in the salsa." ROFL. God bless ya Mum, ya can still bring a laugh to me heart. I'll be chuffed to make ya some extra spicy salsa with yer supper. Anything me Mum wants, I do my best to give 'er.

Nancy, Welcome to Coffee and......we're an eclectic group but you'll never be more welcome or received than you will here. It's a special place, good folks and everyone has so much to offer.

I've made a tray of curry egg salad sammies and English cucumber sammies, some homemade shortbread cookies and a pot of Yorkshire Gold tea. So help yourselves folks and enjoy your afternoon. It's tea time east of the Rockie Mountains!

Rehoboth, MA(Zone 5a)

Babs about your mom, wonderful !!!! Having been to Scotland several times, I just love it and wish I could go there again onof those days and losten to that lovely brogue and have to keep saying "SORRY"?

Merrimac, WI(Zone 4b)

Babs - wish I could meet that mum of yours! Give her a big hug from me!!! Thanks for the lunch idea; egg salad sounds wonderful and I was just thinking about a cup of tea.

Jody

Lambertville, NJ(Zone 6a)

I had something wierd happen. I went on at lunch to catch up with everyone and when I went to post a reply, there was no place to put it. Anyone else have that? There was no reply box to type in. Also, looking at other forums was very slow.

Thanks again for the Birthday wishes. Yes, Mary, I am 45. Not a GOB for a few years yet.

Susan - How fun, baby fishies! I love to watch aquariums.

Gotta get back to work. Catch up more later.

Yes Suzie ... see my post above. It was waaay late when I could post today. Had major withdrawals. LOL I just gotta have my coffee fix! :)
I love egg salad but usually eat it in the summer. Isn't it funny how you associate certain things with certain seasons?

Oh Maria, that apple cutchin sounds wonderful. I'll take a piece with my coffee if there's any left. Oh and pecan pie? Okay, twist my arm. Ouch! That's enough. I'll take a piece of that too. LOL LOL Y'all are driving me crazy with all this talk about sweets. First it was Meezers last night with that delicious sounding one right at bed time. Y'all *know* I'm trying to watch my weight again. Ug!

Babs- your mom sounds like a hoot! I'd love to listen to her!!

Went to the store and loaded up on canned veggies - they had a great sale 5 for $1. Can't beat that. I was tickled as I had missed the fall sale and was kicking myself in the rump because of it!! I got enough to last us until the fresh stuff is ready in the garden. Got myself a plain donut topped with choco/nuts. Yum...my treat for having to grocery shop!!

dm - I like the 'life doesn't suck unless you let it!" I need to remember that one....and say it over and over to myself!! That's a great story about your daughter!! Good for you both!

suz - I've never had that problem with posting....hmmmm your name is Suz and your sis is Nancy? Is that correct? My name is Sue and my sister is Nancy - is that funny or what!! She is my best friend and I wish we lived closer - lucky you!! When my mom, sis, and I get together folks always laugh at us as we all look so much alike!!! I take that as a compliment!!

I'm making cheesey broccoli soup for dinner - yum....trying a new recipe out of taste of home. Hope it is a keeper!! I'll take a piece of pie for dessert

Lambertville, NJ(Zone 6a)

oooh Sarv - Love broccoli cheese soup. Yum! Yes, Nancy is my sister. She's 14 years younger than me. I've been told I look like my mom, but I don't see it. I've also been told I look like my grandmother, which to me is more likely. She was chubby like me and had more of the same face shape.

Babs - Your mom just sounds too cute.

Ottawa, ON(Zone 5a)

Wow you've all been busy talking. Don't have time to write much now, DH is lurking. We are going to go out computer shopping.

Just had to say how I enjoyed the story of the baby catfish. And Glad to have dmc back.

More later when I have time.

I had that "no place to post" happen a couple times today. What's up with that? Just another bug in the works eh?

Babs, your DM sounds delightful and it made me laugh because we had a spicy mexican casserole last night that also had refried beans in it....the results were so good this morning, I went and weighed myself afterwards!! LOL

I'm taking off with a piece of every dessert mentioned today, and maybe I'll have egg sammies tomorrow for lunch. I love them, but I always forget to boil some eggs ahead of time! Got a cuke in the crisper too....yum.

Hello and goodbye to all....see you in the morning. Lunch with DD and DIL on Friday so tomorrow is all mine, full time slacking.

Hi All,

Was busy in the Salon today so didn't even take time to pop in. I have to admit that I *quickly skimmed* the posts so I really have no idea what has been going on today,,,,sorry,,

Well, sorry I'm being way lazy tonight and not commenting much. I think I will get tomorrows daily up early and call it a night.

RATS, CRAP, GOSH DANG IT,

I have been gone all day, sat here and typed for 45 minutes, answered every post, and into cyberspace it went. Gosh I really hate that. Not going to recreate it, no way. Please know that I commented on every post, rejoiced at happy news, cried at the sad, offered advise when asked for, and loved the new animals, members, etc. Commerisated with those who had problems getting on, or posting today.

Just to let you know the gist of it, worked at DM's all day. DMIL is still in the hospital, but improving. Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers for her and for DH and me.

Tomorrow is grocery/errand day, so will MIA tomorrow morning, and will post when I get home. To those of you I had addressed specially with questions. I will send a d-mail.

May be back after I check on some other forums.
