Vine for shady spot
Climbing hydranga is listed for shady areas. I didn't have much success with mine and traded it off., but I have seen some lovely examples locally.
There aren't good vines for shade that twine, but if you don't mind pads or rootlets on the wall or other structure, you could go with Virginia creeper or one of the ivies.
Climbing hydrangea takes a long time to establish. If you know you are going to stay where you are for many years, I would definitely go for it if I were you.
A lot of the newer hybrid Clematis do well in semi shade. I have a Blue Moon Clematis, that only gets early morning sun that blooms beautifuly.
Here's a picture of the Blue Moon clematis.

Chalk Hill Clematis has a page that lists Clematis for shade and a north wall.

You might want to look into Pipevine (aristolochia macropyhlla)
Its an interesting twisting branched vine and host plant for the pipevine swallowtail...
Thank You all for responding to my request. lol
