Brunfelsia problem?

Can anyone tell me what is doing this to my Brunfelsia americana and jamaicensis?

This in on americana. It starts as a blister then turns to the brown spot. I thought it might be scale but when I scratch it it feels like part of the plant. There is also a crusting where the leaves meet the branches. Some areas look like normal streching but others are very heavy almost scab like.

This is on jamaicensis. This is the blister. I think you can make out the heavy crusting at the base of the next leaf down.

Hello friend! Not sure what it is but have had it occassionally on a number of different plants over the years, I don't know what to tell you, sorry. I don't think it's fatal, just terribly unattractive.
