"Page not found" and other woes

Click on "Home", "Page Not Found" (PNF), Click Refresh. There it is! Click on a thread, PNF, Click Refresh, There it is! Oh what a cute picture in this thread, let's make it bigger, click on the picture, PNF, Refresh, refresh, refresh....refresh. Forget it! Click on "Home", PNF, Refresh, refresh. There it is! Click on Dave's Forum, PNF, Refresh, Refresh. Finally!!! Type out this post. We'll see.

Daily slow downs, no access at times and now this. Is it because of the "Changes"? Was the server move a mistake? Did we just get spoiled because it usually ran smoothly before? I don't know, but I do know that I'm starting to get frustrated.

I'm continuing to track down these issues that are causing this.

I'm looking forward to the day when I can look back on this as a thing of the past. :)

Anyway, DG is now running on a new server (as of 5 minutes ago) so let's see if it's better.

I'm completely unable to post pictures right now, so it's not all fixed yet. I know you are as frustrated as we are, but I'm getting to the point that as soon as it slows down or gives me errors, I just get out of the site and get on with my life.

I've been having that same problem all day as well. I either get the "page not found" deal, or something along the lines of "404 error, yadayadayada". In fact, just got the 404 error message trying to open this thread. Had to try it 3-4 times before I could get thru.

Edited to add that I haven't been able to get onto the "Pets" forum at all today, including in just the last few minutes. Always get the "404 error - forum not found on this server" message.

Same here. all 404 errors except for here. About 11:30 this morning, I was not able to access DG at all. Page wasn't available as if you were down.

Thanks for working on this and I'm sorry for all the server problems you're having.

I'm right in there with the rest and this complaint thread is the only one working for me.
I will say a little prayer for your sanity....Dave, I'm sure you could use it about now.

I have no idea if this helps or not but when I am on my home page, I can see there are only about 4 forums that people are accessing because of the time of post listed. I don't usually go to those forums but I just clicked on one and got right in.

There are several though, that have not had a posting since before noon today. I'm assuming those are the 404 problems?

You're right Vic!! Just tried to access several of the forums showing up lower on the page, & am just getting the 404 message.

I just got one to come up, so you are making progress.

Well, I'm not snapping at heals just telling that I did a "little experiment." I can get to the forums in the Garden Talk area, but not the ones in the Home Talk area.......anyone else???

Me too mgh...a home forums problem for me.

I'm still getting the 404 error message on General Discussion, Daylilies, and Crafts. Haven't tried others yet. Was surprised to get in here.

I'll be patient, Dave. I can always paint a picture while you work out the kinks. (Glad it's you and not me. That sort of thing would drive me nuts!)

Here's the error message I get on the Clean and Clutter forum:

Error 404 Not Found: The requested URL /place/t/572888/ was not found on this server.

I get similar errors on other forums. But I know you'll have it fixed in no time, Dave. What a headache for you!

Uh-oh.

I spent most of the day out shopping: the site is unbelievably slow. I hope it gets better or I may resort to watching TV.

For the first time, I'm actually looking forward to taking DD to back-to-back swim team practice and indoor soccer practice today. Once a week the practices line up this way, necessitating staying at the YMCA for 2 1/2 hours. Usually that's an inconvenience, but today it might be a good escape for a few hours.

Well, at least my kitchen is getting cleaned. My white formica countertops are actually white again. LOL :-D
