Hi All,
Here's the daily con't from

Have a Great Day all,
Kelly
Coffee and....For, Monday, January 16, 2006
I visited some of the new forums, and plan to make some hypertufa projects this spring. Hope all of you are making plans to do something different too.
Morning evereyone!! Restless night sleeping again - man I'm getting sick of this! Tossed and turned and my pillow felt like a rock (it's feathers!!) I'm going to record things on a calendar and see if there is any pattern to it
Yikes - White Caste burgers - NOT!! we call them sliders too (they slide out the bottom end...) My gastro can't stand onions anymore....everytime I try them, I vow to never do it again!
I've noticed the double/triple postings too - I learned - just hit the send button ONCE!
DR - congrads to your son doing so well on the wrestling!! Did you take any tums??? Is your bum flat and sore?? Ahhh fond memories..
Defoe- driving back for extra keys- (you should have made your DH do that!!) I've done that often -too often in fact!! Everytime I do it, I say to myself "I can't believe I did that again!"
mg- good luck with the 'blasting' - keep us posted!!
The Today program is talking about 'happy people' - I need to watch this!!
Good morning,
Gee, where is everyone? 8 am already and nobody else has posted except the nightowls.
This is just a quikki - gotta stop by the FC with client files from last Wednesday and Friday. My successor want to try his luck entereing them into the computer there. (I brought them home and did them already here and we'll compare results when he finishes to see if he's got the process down pat.) I'll skip aquafit, but might stop by for coffee if I get some practice in first. I have a rehearsal at noon and the concert tonight and don't want to overuse my arms in the pool this am. Sometimes they get tired enough that I don't want to pick up a viola.
And I'm going to crank up my metronome and see how well I can get through those diabolical rhythms. Trouble is it won't go fast enough to count the 8th notes and the beats are irregular with some having 2 - 8th notes and some having 3 so I can't just set it to subdivide beats. Have to get a sort of litany going in the head - 12;123; 12;123; 12;12;123; 123;12; 123;123;123; 12;12;12;123; 12;123 12;123; 123;12 and so on (and try to watch both the conductor and the notes (ha) at the same time. And since we don't play on every beat - just individual notes here and there, it ain't for the faint of heart. I'm going to need luck and a lot of it.
More later. Have a good day.
Ann
Well, nobody had posted when I started writing. good morning sarv.
Morning All,
dcat,
I have so many things going on already,,,I don't know if I can handle Another project,,,lol
sarv,
lol,,,I still like them and they don't do that to me,,,but plenty of people have the same problem,,,,lol Sorry to hear you're not sleeping well. Hope you can get a pattern figured out.
Ann,
oooo, Good Luck tonight,,,is it correct to say Break a Leg for this?
Well, Gran just popped in,,,she's going to *help* me today,,,lol with what,,,I haven't figured that out yet,,,she just thinks she needs to come help me,,,lol God Bless her.
Well, I'll check in later,
Kelly
Morning all, just popped in to say hi. Need to head to work today.
Sarv, yeah, my butt is sore but only a month left! It is actually fun to watch since he is doing so good now tho last year he did good too. Sorry to hear you aren't sleeping.
This weather isn't letting us get enough energy out, I think. We need SPRING to come now!!!
Dcat, I have been looking at the other forums and I am just amazed on what people do. As for new projects this year, I am going to keep them to the minimum because of both kids graduating plus going to Hawaii, so no time or money for them. Tho I may hit the junk yard for some freebie material to make things like a new park bench.
Yesterday I actually got to work outside. No rain but it was cool and windy but NO RAIN, I said. So piddled around in my baby greenhouse and cleaned up the plants in there, trimming them up and taking off the slugs and snails hanging on their pots. Planted a clematis in the box below my arbor.
Mgh (Mendy from DG) came over to see my huge dahlia tree tuber that I had gotten from DrDon. She was amazed on the size of the stalk. Now need to figure out where to plant it when I have time.
Any of you guys have a dahlia tree? Need some info. on it.
Well, off to work and plus to maybe make an appt. to get my hair cut finally. It is so ratty nowadays.
Have a good day, all.
Carol (DR)(the even one)
Good Morning. Guess everybody is celebrating the holiday, and hasn't checked in yet. I have been up ages, the BIL that I dislike so much called at 6:00 and woke us up. DH went back to sleep, but not me. I have been sitting paying bills this morning. Have them all finished, so can drop them in the post office after while. Since they are closed today, they will be ready to be picked up tomorrow. Packaged seeds for a couple of people, 101, watch for yours!! It is a bright sunny day here, so after a run to Walmart for some painting supplies, may just come back and start some tomato seeds. Meals today don't pose a problem, left over chili for lunch, and left over meat loaf for supper. I have done 3 loads of laundry, and the dishwasher is running. All is well in the north central part of Kentucky.
I will check in again later, Sarv, so sorry that you are not sleeping well. Keeping a sleep diary will help reveal a pattern. Why don't you note if you ate or drank anything prior to going to bed. Like spicy food or drinks with caffeine. That could be a problem.
VA, good luck with the concert tonight. Wish I could be in the audience enjoying the music.
Well off to Walmart.
Good morning. The sun just came up over the mountains and we have enough new snow from yesterday to cover the ground. Pretty, bright and clean. My thermometer says it is about 22. Yesterday was windy with snow flurries all day and the high only got up to about 30 once when the sun came out. I found things to do inside and hope today is not so windy so I can take the Border Collie for a walk. If I go when the ground if frozen I won't even get muddy shoes and there isn't much snow so that won't be a problem. It's amazing to think that we dug up some dormant Russian Sage plants for my friend the day before yesterday. I emagine she got them heeled in somewhere if only in a bucket.
Ann, it sounds like those 12-123 rhythms fit the theme of the music. I emagine some composers stand out in your mind as having written unplayable or discordant sounding music, while others are a pleasure. It's that way with singing it, I recall looking at something and shuddering before I even heard it. It makes me wonder if some of them were in a terrible mood and expressed frustrations to match their lives on the score. You'll be glad when this one is over and probably hope to never see that selection again! How are the other orchestra members doing with it?
Locked out of the car is no fun. Good thing you got to borrow a car to go get extra keys, calling a locksmith is expensive. One of our unofficially adopted sons is a locksmith. He enjoys rescuing people from locked out situations since he is a resecer type of person and gets paid for it, too. He is very cautious when he gets calls to remote places or at night, so much drug stuff going on that he never knows what he might walk into. One fellow went horseback riding way out in the mountains and didn't realize he had locked himself out of his truck until he got back and it was almost dark, and then he wanted to get out of there before dark and was mad at himself and in a hurry. He called AAA on his cell phone and our son responded to the call, went up back roads, kept asking for more directions, thinking nobody should be way out there and wondering if it might be some wierdo druggie out there waiting to rob him. Sometimes that sort of thing happens with pizza delivery people and taxi drivers, and the area he lives in (near Seattle) has lots of bad stuff going on. This particular customer (I happen to know the guy) was so obnoxious that our son almost didn't unlock his truck, but that would have cost him his job. He wanted to just leave the guy out there in the woods to cool off.
My hubby is home today so I don't know what we will do or how much I will get done. No football today I think, yesterday he managed to watch most of two games with about an hour interruption when friends came by to visit. I was reading seed catalogs and a good book.
Have a great day, see you later. I hope this gets posted but only once today. Lots of multiples yesterday, some of them were mine and I finally just gave up and did a lot of reading but no more replying.
Back from the huff and puff- and I did a good workout too! My arm was so sore, but I didn't workout on Fri, Sat. or Sun and today afterwards it felt better. This puzzles me...
Vi - in my next life I am going to be musical... I would love to be able to pick up an instrument (well piano is the only one I really want to play) and play beautifully. I pick at my keyboard, but don't actually know the correct placement of my hands. Took lessons once, but it was stressful and I am avoiding any stress!!
Went to a store called Horrocks - are there any by any of you? They are a fresh fruit/veg =tons of meat and fresh flower store. I love wandering around. They had huge boston ferns for 7.99, but I want them this summer- they will be up to 20 bucks by then. Drat...just don't have a place for them this early. One thing I noticed is that they don't have any seeds this year- puzzling and maddening!! We are getting less and less 'seed stores' in this area...
Supposed to be getting freezing rain tonight - ugh glad I can sit home if need be!
Well hello everyone, finally made it in to DG yesterday and had a couple postings never show and on one thread it actually posted 4 times. Figured I better stop while I was not in any real trouble. LOL
I could never catch up with everything you all have been up too. Sarv, I have noticed a big difference in my ability to sleep since having to give up the caffeine, you just have to get past that nasty headache period for a few days. I have discovered if I have an urge for a soda I can still drink Root Beer and Sprite without the caffeine. I am still missing my Pepsi though. I have decided that even if it wasn't the caffeine causing the heart problems or other issues I am not going to go back to being so addicted to it again. I have also lost those few extra pounds that were causing my clothes to tug and stretch.
Mary I hope you got out for you walk with the dog. I know I really enjoy it when I can sneak away for a short walk with one of my furbabies.
Defoe, I think I am just going to consider your chores as my exercise today. I was tired before I finished your list of what you have accomplished while I was still sleeping.
DR, I saw the pic of that tuber on another thread. WOW. I hope you post some pictures when it starts to bloom for you.
GG, I hope you have a great day with your Gran. I bet she was lonely and helping you allows her some company.
Suzie, I am so glad that your surgery went so well. I had you in my thoughts and prayers even though I wasn't posting. Hopefully you will be able to master the one armed typing technique soon.
Viola, my daughter says that you must be a great musician to only consider those peices of music a bit difficult. She claims they are some of the hardest peices that she has seen on paper. Claiming she would sound like a pig squealing on all her horns if she tried those peices. LOL
As for me I better get started on the laundry pile again. I know it has a reproductive system cause there is no way we wore all those clothes in only 5 days. Then I need to get to the vitamin store because I am out of a couple of the ones I take. Then maybe by the mall, I received a 100.00 gift certificate for the mall from my boss that I haven't a clue as into what to use it for. I dont need any new clothes, (trying to be practical because I wont be needing many skirts and suits after we move) and of course they dont have a gardening or fabric store there. I bought all the candles a person can use at the Yankee Candle sale the day after Christmas. 50%-75% off sale.
Oh wanted to let you all that we actually had snow here at my house yesterday. The morning was clear and beautiful with only a couple puff clouds over the mountains to the west. By the time we were heading into the grocery store a few hours later it went from the mid sixties to the 30's, high winds and gloomy with snow. Then at 4:30 or so I went out to see if using the grill was possible and it was clear skies again. Strange weather......
Hope all have a spectacular day, enjoy the holiday, and know that even when I am away I am thinking of you all.
Casey
Why would anyone need to call a locksmith for a car door. as far as I know every police car in the nation carries a kit to open car doors. Just call hoyur local police they will help.
Why would anyone need to call a locksmith for a car door. as far as I know every police car in the nation carries a kit to open car doors. Just call your local police they will help.
The police dept in my town no longer provides that service, and if the keys were in the trunk it wouldn't have helped if they did. Voice of experience here!
Well, back from Walmart and the paint store. Purchased all the painting supplies at walmart, plus DH a 50 lb bag of dog food for the beagles, got some plastic to make repairs to my mini green house, then on to the paint store for the paint. I stopped by the hospital to see my friend who had surgery on Saturday (colon cancer) and she was really drowsy from the pain meds, so only stayed about 10 minutes. Stopped by the drug store to get DM some cough medicine. She has a cold and I was going to make an appointment to see a Dr, but she says she is feeling better. Now tomorrow, she will call and want to go to the Dr. Can't even get ahead, much less stay ahead.
Ozarkian, true the local police can unlock cars, but where we were was in a very remote section of the county not near a town, so I knew that it would be faster to come home and get the keys, rather than call someone out there.
Mary, has snow, Carart had snow yesterday, Sarv is expecting freezing rain tonight, why is it sunny and 50 here today? We are supposed to get rain tonight and tomorrow. After last year's drought, we need all we can get, but please not like Washington.
Well, still drying laundry, so off to fold a load. I will check back later.
tgif, the keys weren't in the trunk. DH had tossed the keys on the front seat, and just reached in to press the trunk unlock button on them, and somehow opened the trunk, but locked the doors, you know that feeling the sinking one as the door slams and you realize what you have done. I didn't know that could happen, but I always take the keys with me, so I don't think there is any danger of it happening to me. If anybody wants to make off with a nice car, just follow my DH around, he always leaves the keys in it somewhere. Usually not in the ignition, but on the floor, in the console, under the seat, under the arm rest, inside the gas tank door!! Hope he can explain to the insurance company when that happens.
dcat,
Bill does the same thing,,,,I told him the insurance co. wouldn't pay for the vehicle if it was stolen with the keys in it,,,he said, well, that's what we have insurance for,,,told him why should the insurance co. have to pay for stupidity,,,he would be making a payment for a vehicle he doesn't have,,,lol. It helped for awhile,,,he hates keys in his pocket,,,so now, it's under the seat, or in the console,,,,or wherever he throws them,,,drives me absolutely nuts.
Kel
GG - I am married to Bill's brother!! DH says the same thing - 'that's what we have insurance for' = he leaves his keys in a cubby (in plain sight) with the truck parked in the driveway - way too stupid....I cannot convice him otherwise. He also will pull out into an intersection when it is obvious that the oncoming car isn't going to stop - he says "well, I have the right of way" - give me the 2x4 (that is why I always drive if possible!!)
I had the strangest thing happen to me...I always stopped for a cappiccino on Fridays. Got out of my car, pushed the lock button on the door and then thought "oh nuts- my keys are in the ignition" - went in and got my cappiccino anyhow, came back out and opened the door. Now I KNOW I locked it (I give credit to my guardian angel or someone above knowing I just couldn't handle anymore stress!!) Honest, it was so weird that it was freaky.
Wind is blowing wildly here - and it is cold, but SUNNY!!
Carat- I am off my caffeine bag too! I still have it once in awhile when we go out, but not ever on a daily basis. I feel much better, but I've gone off it before and always seem to pick up the habit again. Summer seems to be my bad time.
defo - our police dept won't open cars anymore either - something about liability....
Got the house all picked up, dishes done, beds made, floors swept or vacuumed and now I am going to get the paper and do the crossword...work is all done for today!!
sarv,
lol,,,Yep, like we were saying before,,,they're all cut from the same mold,,,,grrrrrr
Awesome thing with your keys getting *locked* in the car. Someone knew you didn't need to deal with that.
Got all the rest of the receipts put in their appropriate month in the accordiane file and cleaned off my desk,,,,wow,,,looks great when it's clean,,,you can actually see wood,,,,lol and the roll top,,,actually rolls down with out shoving it,,,,
Yes, Gran feels like she's helping by coming down here,,,and she is. It just takes a little more of my time to help her help me,,,lol, if that makes sense. I have to get this or that for her,,,I have to move stuff for her,,,I have to go and look at something and answer questions,,,but, I love spending time with her,,,she will be 86 the end of March,,,and quite honestly, she can run circles around me,,lol.
She only lives about 5 house away from me so it's easy for her to walk here. She pops in a lot,,,even when I'm working,,,she'll come over and do my dishes if there are any,,,or she'll sweep, vacuum, dust,,whatever,,,it's nice,,,and Very helpful.
Well, off to do my nails now,
See ya later,
Kelly
Sarv, and some of the rest of you........I want to be like you.......You just said I'm done for today and now I am going to relax......How do I get to do that. I don't EVER feel that I am done and there for can never just relax without feeling guilty. "I should be doing something"...... Don't get me wrong, I do sit here "Several" hehehe, times a day and lurk/post, but I never feel like I'm Done.....Or should be done.
Do you plan your days work? PLEASE tell me how you do it.....I envy you.
Hap
Hap,
boy, do I know what you mean,,,I never get done. There's Always Something to do!,,,,I just say I'm done and mean either emotionally or physically,,,lol

We are all having difficulty with it. But I HAVE to say, this one, for all it's difficulties is a good piece. The solo violin part is great. Very accessible and even jazzy at times. The 2nd movement (not so difficult) would make a good encore piece - very much like country fiddling. Third movement is very ethereal. Just the first and last are almost impossible and then just rhythmically. I have played much worse in the name of furthering new Canadian music. We used to say that Canadian Council for the Arts funded composers by the note because so many of them went on long after they had anything worthwhile to say.
Those of you who lock your keys in the car, try a German car. MUCH more difficult to lock the keys in. Even so, I carry a spair key in the inside zippered pocket of my purse. (Something I got in the habit of doing when my kids were small and would sometimes walk off with the fascinating keys).
Kelly, good you've got nails to do. LOL That's a downside of being a musician. Mine are always cut off short.
Enjoy the time with your gran. It's great when they reach that age and are still doing well. My DH has an aunt in Portland, Oregon who a few years ago would leave us in her wake at the local mall. Then she had a bout of ovarian cancer, but seems to have licked it. I think she's well on her way to recovering her past activities levels and she's now 89. Given the dementia my mother had, I don't think I'll be so lucky.
Rehearsal this noon was short and sweet. I even managed to find a legal spot in the parking garage which was posted as being full and those with access cards only. I have the access card, courtesy of the orchestra which means it won't cost me any more to park there this evening; so I really did want to find a spot. (I also hadn't worn my boots or a hat; so I didn't want to park elsewhere and have to walk back). I was about to ditch my car in a quasi legal spot when someone vacated a nearby spot. but I think I'll still try to find 30 minutes to look at a few spots before the concert.
More later.
Ann
Happy when I say I am done I think you would be better reading it, that I am tired of cleaning and am done doing it for today. At no time do I ever feel as though I am done cleaning around here. I have OCD and with 3 kids, 2 dogs, 2 cats and a DH the cleaning of this house is a never ending cycle.
Hey the sun is here. Whoo Hooo. I am going to go out and sit in the sun for a bit and read. The sun light helps so much with the SAD but boy its amazing how so much more better I feel when outside in the natural light.
Casey
Isn't the sun wonderful? We also have a glorious sunny day here in Ottawa. The first one in a long time. ;-)
Ann
I've been there, done that, Casey.....except I only had one dog...
Yes, I too feel much better when I get the sun....aways have. Think I'll get some now....lol
Thanks
Hap
Edit: It's also 73.4 degress.....yipee....going to get cold tonight again. UGH.

Hap - I am never truly done as there are always closets/cupboards that need reorganizing - but when I am done for the day it usually means that the daily routine stuff is done and my house is presentable should someone come over.
I had a neighbor that was so rigid in her cleaning- Mon- change beds, Tues - wash the floors, Wed - grocery shopping etc. She never seemed happy and had fun!! All the neighbor women used to come over for a day by the pool, but she never would/could as she had stuff that she HAD to do. Phett on that!! I would like a little more schedule than I have, but I can go shopping in a minute or out to lunch - my cleaning will never hold me back from doing something I want to do!!
Having a spic and span house has never been a goal of mine...I just want to enjoy life!
Ann,
Good Luck tonight,,,I'll be thinking of you and that wonderful sounding music. Gosh I wish I could be there to enjoy it.
Casey,
OCD,,,,oooo, very frustrating for you!
We had sun a few times this week,,,even had it 2 days in a row,,,Now I Really have spring fever.
Well, back to the nails,,,oh, and that,,,They are a never ending battle,,,,Especially in the summer,,,I Have started to wear gloves on a regular basis now.
Kelly
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Man picker ons in here. Actually you should all be thrilled with these guys. I loose my keys also my glasses and teeth.
As kelly will tell you I sometimes have found them by sitting on them because they were in my back pocket. DW often says in I ever loose the lower backside I will disappear.
Oz, heehee
Let's see, I have 2 cures for lost/locked in keys: Magnetic Key Box hidden somewhere on the OUTSIDE of the car or AAA. AAA will come with a "slimJim" to open the car. I have used them to open my helpers car, my sons car, my boyfriends car.........but never for my own.....I have a magnetic keybox, except for that one time my SON locked the keys in My car, then I got the key box.
Meezers, you can show the picture of my mustang to your hubby now. I got a garage for it today. Best I can do with so many others things on my plate right now. (Photo below)
I spent most of the day in the car. Drove into town early to get some new tires. Called the place first, they said they had them, come on in. 30 miles later, they said, oops, we only have 2, We'll get some sent down from Lake City, about an hour. I got there the first time at 8:30, finally left with new tires at 12.
I had ordered roofing for the pump house and had to go pick that up. Some 60-80 miles and back. Needless to say, any plans I had for gardening went by the wayside.
Tomorrow I am off to LaBelle for 3 days working for pay. I come back Friday, maybe I can do some gardening this weekend.
Darius and Jeremy are staying home to work on the building. They are doing a wonderful job and it looks great!!!!
Here's the Mustang Garage.
Molly
:^)))
Haven't been here the past couple of days, been too busy fighting with DH and the kids LOL I won't even pretend I read the posts, cause I didn't.
Why are we fighting? well, who knows??? He is being a butt head LOLOL We had a situation that caused us to lose a couple thousand opff of tax return, and we were both counting on that t obe there. Oh well. Shouldn't spend it, even in your head until it is in the bank :) I am still getting my seed money. Somehow LOL
The kids have had a 3 day weekend, and are driving me up the wall, across the ceiling and down the other side. I have given up on housework, my house should be declared a disaster zone and condemned.
Went out to dinner and the movies Friday night, had a deent dinner, and the worst movie ever made! We are horror movie adicts, and we went to see "Hostel" We figured it would be prety good, Tarintino's movies usually are. Well, we were WRONG. The title should be "Hostile" cause that is how I felt after paying $17.50 for tickets, and watching it. It had NO plot, alot of almost pornographic scenes, and it was STUPID! Did I mention it was a lousy movie? LOL What a waste of 2 hours and 20 plus bucks :(
We still have no answers about my shoulder, but the good news it, it hasn't hurt for a couple days now. I go back to see the DR again Thursday, it was on and off like this before and then started to be continuous at Christmas, so now I have to wonder when it will start to hurt again.
Enough whining for the evening, gonna go see what I can whip up for dinner, and throw everyone into bed, for some peace and quiet.
hugs to all
Janis
I am going to cover my head and sneak out the door this is no [place for a male to be. might see you later when it is not so dangerous in here
Good evening everyone , I am late today A friend of mine dropped by last night and stayed for breakfast, it was real nice . I had made some bread and yesterday I made some ginger preserve it was wonderful with coffee. Spent the day running errants and cooking , otherwise spent one hour with the sattelite company . My T.V. was fine in the living room but not in the den so I was on the phone for one hour trying to solve the problem . Solved...
I see that everybody hope to have a solution for the car keys looked in the car , the police rescued me twice. Once in the front of my store with the spare key in my purse on the seat. Mygrand daughter had slamed the door loked . The second time at the gas station, I was out of gas , the keys looked inside of the car including the keys of the gas tank . And my husband had just left town with the other set of keys he was 80 miles away and not to come back until the next weekend.
It has not happened since. But I ran out of gas in the station

Good everning,
I've probably already forgotten at least half of what's been posted today, but I'll give this a shot. Let's see, Music --- I know that I had to have learned to read it at one time as I took clarinet lessons in grammar school, but after a year or two of that, I quit and have no recollection at all of how to read a musical score. All that timing is a foreign language to me. I do wish you all the best though, Ann! Hope all the concerts work out great.
Oh, oh, here's a really bad one! Suzie Homemaker I'm NOT! Sorry! Most of you would probably be appalled at this house, but as far as I'm concerned if it keeps the rain off and keeps me warm in the cold weather, it's fine by me. Actually I used to be a bit better at keeping things cleaner, but there's so much clutter in here now that it would take about a week to move things out in order to clean (and there's really nowhere else to put the stuff in the meantime, either.) Someday the metal shed "kit" we bought last year might actually get built and we might be able to find the floor and the walls of the house again. Until then, I'm on permanent strike.
Didn't get a whole lot accomplished today aside from making Italian meatballs for supper. I did get one jewelry repair done for a customer, but the second job for the same couple was starting to drive me a little crazy so I stopped before I could make a bad mistake. I'll have to get back to it tomorrow night when we get home.
We've had fun with car keys, house keys, etc. My mother has ended up driving to my store more than once because she forgot her house keys and forgot where we'd put an extra one (or had loaned the extra one to one of my brothers for some reason and left herself without one.)
Casey, don't they sell the caffeine-free Pepsi out your way? I know that it's available around here.
Molly, it's great to see how much progress you've been making and it seems that your business is still alive and well too! How are you feeling about the move now? (I didn't dare ask that question while you were waiting for the power to be connected!)
Mary, how about another kitty picture? Amanda Panda is a cute little thing. Hope her health is improving by leaps and bounds now.
I'm sure there are people and subjects that I've missed ----- sorry, not intentional. DH has been yelling down the stairs and seems to want me to go watch some TV with him.
Adios for now.
.
McCool, LOL, you COULDN'T ask that question before the power was on. I wouldn't be able to "hear" you. :^)))
On the business side, the painting work we are doing is from old customers in Ft Lauderdale. I still need to get a move on connecting up here in the trades. I'm a little confused on that part of it. If I go out and sell myself to paint houses, when will I have time to work at home? There are so many projects to keep us busy around here, who wants to go to work? If I was a little older I could retire.
One day soon I will force myself to get practical and get back to making a living.............I suppose.

:^)))
Oh, where to start....first of all I haven't posted since Saturday because my computer pulled a muscle or had an aneurism or something and is now at thecomputer hospital whe they will charge me an arm and a leg to fix it. On top of that Souky spent all day Sunday vomiting, and so she's at the vets, poor baby....they think it may be pancreatitis, which is awful news. I couldn't stand to lose another one, so I am in maximum worry mode, because she is my baby, Sammi not withstanding, and I'm just a wreck. All i need now is my car to go on the fritz and I'm going to go stick my head in the oven. Oh even that won't work, it's electric.
Read as much as I could but I'm hijacking DH's computer and he's pacing...so just know that I miss the daily updates, and will try to get on tomorrow after he goes to work.
Send good thoughts for my little fur baby....TTYL
M5, do a good hug for your kitty. Am so so so sorry to hear all your bad news. I will be thinking lots of good thoughts for you all. I hope they do find something else that is wrong with your kitty and they can fix it. Many hugs for you too!
Carol
Meezer, my heart goes out to you and to Souky. If it is pacreatitis what can they do for her. I am sure that your vet knows what he is talking about but I am still going to keep my fingers crossed that it is just stress from Sammi joining the family and things will calm down soon. I know how you feel when the hill your climbing seems to get steeper, and the someone throws some rocks down your path. I promise it will pass.
Woofens, I am glad that your shoulder is doing better. Maybe the restricted use has allowed it to rest and begin to heal.
Mary, I too want a new updated picture of Amanda Panda. We all know she is growing, and we want to see.
I use to have a bad habit of locking my keys in my car. Did it once at work while the car was still running. DH had to leave work, and unlock it for me. He has never let me live it down. I also locked myself, DH and our three small kids out of a rental car in California at a mall. That is also another memory I am never going to be allowed to forget.
McCool, I use to be able to find caffeine-free pepsi all over around here. I haven't seen it in quite some time and to be honest I am kinda glad to not find it. I think the lack of pepsi is part of the reason I have managed to loose those extra pounds.
Made chilli and cornbread for dinner. It was perfect for the cold weather outside. Once that sun starts to go down the temps fall even quicker. I dont think I will have enough left for lunch tomorrow so I better get out there and figure out what I am going to eat. Where my school is located it takes a 20-25 minute drive to get to the nearest fast food and its a McDonalds and I can only deal with that so many times in a month.
Hope all that had sunshine were able to enjoy some outside time, and to those with the grey days I am wishes for bright sunlight for you all tomorrow also.
Casey

Hi all
Had a busy day today with the DH home. Haven't gotten anything done ... schedule is completely shot, but ooooh, how I love to have him home. Have had a bit of a headache and watery eyes, etc but have decided it must just be allergies from being outside the past few days when it was so pretty. Today was another pretty one. We went to the DMIL's for the afternoon, and hubby and father worked on the truck. No major problems, just something to do with the tailgate.
M5, I am so sorry to hear that Souky is sick. Poor baby. It's so hard to watch our furbabies suffer and feel like our hands are tied. Will say prayres that all goes well. Just know I'm thinking about you especially right now.
Sooo sorry for your puter problems. Isn't that just the pits when they go on the blink like that? You are definitely having more than your share right now.
Defoe, I'm watching my mail. Thanks :)
Ann, I'm always facinated listening to your discriptions of the pieces y'all play. Wish we could be a "virtual audiance" ... but guess I'll have to be satisfied to be there in spirit.
Janis, sorry to hear you and the DH had a squabble. Y'all kiss and make up, now, K? :)
Hap, I never get caught up with my house work either. LOL
Mary, bet that snow was pretty! Wouldn't mind having a little bit, but couldn't take a lot. :)
Well, as far as the car keys go ... I have a spare set, and the DH doesn't have to worry about them. I won't be leaving them in the ignition or in another vehicle. LOL LOL ;)
Okay, it's late. Forgive me for not speaking to everyone ... but I think I'm brain dead tonight. Y'all sleep tight.
... Elaine
