I watered the gardens and flower pots yesterday with with my granddaughter Sidda's help. She's 21 months and loves to go out and "help" me. First she just held onto the hose, then she was controlling the hose (watering whatever SHE wanted to), then she wanted it all by herself! At one point when we were both holding the hose, I was standing with one foot on the sidewalk and the other foot one step up on the poarch. She noticed my position so she began moving around to get herself into the same position! What a joy gardening and granddaughters are!
The joy of gardening with my granddaughter
I can't wait! My granddaughter is just barely walking and is 250 miles away - but I AM going to highjack her for a few weeks this summer. I am so looking forward to it. You must be in heaven in the garden with the little one. It is cold and frozen here in a zone 6, and I am missing my zone 9 where I lived last year. Please post pics if you get a chance - I'm deparate to see anything green! :-)
What a joy she is! She is just so intent and serious. Hmmm, perhaps I could kidnap my grand-niece for a day when it warms up. She just turned two last week and is already a real character.
Thanks for sharing! The snow is gone for the moment, but everything is still pretty frozen. You give me hope that Spring WILL come :-) Your granddaughter is so precious!
