Putting face to the names

Missouri City, TX(Zone 9a)

We have always had cats or dogs, since I was a kid. My kids want dogs, I think cats are so much easier and less demanding. My cat who was most affectionate and amazing died last year, she wanted nothing more than to sleep w/ someone willing to allow her rest her head on their arm and to lap up a small - or maybe moderate- amount of melted vanilla ice cream, "Blue Bell" if you have and if not then Breyers or Dreyers, but please, not the low fat stuff...

Violet, where is Dunedin? Is it north of Florida????

(Zone 7b)

Allison, he's a miniature dachshund cross - 17 lbs, and the funniest dog I've ever been owned by.

Here he is, playing with his best friend, my friend's lab:

He looks a little demented in that picture, here he is being adorable:

-Or firing high-power mind-controlling rays at you.

I think Dunedin is on the West side near the Gulf.

Your right Kenton :))
2Z your dog he is adorable :))

is he not looking at the camera because he is completely humilated that you took a picture of him wearing the hat? Of course, I think it's absolutely adorable!!

Crossville, TN(Zone 6b)

That is exactly what I thought when I saw him. He is adorable. Linda

(Zone 7b)

I was giggling while taking the shot - he HATES being laughed at - hurts his dignity.

He always reacts to that by refusing to face into the camera - gives the supermodel-aloof-staring-into-the-distance-gaze...we were laughing at how far off they were in size - for some reason, they remembered him as being much smaller,

so it kind of just perches on top of his head like that...

Oh he's so cute ! Funny thing is my nurses are always buying Precious hats, boot, scarves.. and she love them. Oh my goodness words can not express how much she love her hats. It's so cute. She was looking toward the door as Tammi left when I took her picture we were in bed. I told Tammi to look back in for her smaile for the day :))

Who you callin' papaz? Jump in the plane, Anita, quick! -And get your camera!

Missouri City, TX(Zone 9a)

Ok Allison I love the photos but you must stop humiliating that poor thing! LOL too funny.

Mansfield, TX(Zone 8a)

Allison,
Precious has to be the most laid back dog (dare I mention that word) that I have ever seen! I tried to get pictures of my "granddogs" wearing their reindoor horns and/or santa hats around Christmas, and couldn't get them to be still long enough. They were shaking their heads and looking very puzzled. The reindoor horns ended up hanging wrong way around their heads - looked like some weird kind of beard.

Missouri City, TX(Zone 9a)

Isn't that the truth! My dog would never sit still!

I don't hang out on the AV forum much as I have NEVER been able to grow them but see many of you in other forums so I thought I'd stop lurking and show my pearly whites.

Here is a picture my daughter took of my husband and I last summer before my husbands award banquet.

I will post a picture of our cat Kazz after for you pet lovers *lol*

Nice to "see" you all, what a GREAT group!

Wow... a gorgeous couple *and* an elegant cat! In one household!! Now, if only you had some lovely AVs to round out the picture..... ;-)

Check out some of the culture threads on our sticky, especially those about watering and lightening your soil mix... and maybe you'll decide to give AVs another shot! It takes a little experimenting to figure out what suits them best in terms of light & moisture, but they really don't deserve their reputation for being delicate or persnickity.
