Putting face to the names

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

It's her Ballerina outfit or when she Marry's her boyfriend across the street :))

Dallas, TX(Zone 8a)

Awww, that is so precious. I just love her in her outfits. Give her a hug for me.

JesseK

Denver, CO

What she really needs is a Grease-style poodle skirt...

(Zone 7b)

Allison, would you mind if I shared that photo with a friend? She'd love it!

Missouri City, TX(Zone 9a)

Allison you have got to stop dressing up that poor baby! You are going to have to get a dog whisperer and a dog therapist! LOL.
She is so adorable- if I could get my dog to keep clothes on you can bet she'd be the on the best dressed list!
Kim your cat is adorable! I miss my cat. And again Kim I must say that we are a good looking group of folks so you would appear to fit right in! By the way, nice looking husband!
2Zeus don't you love those doggie kisses? It always amazes me how much dogs and cats as well love their masters/owners/caretakers- some dogs and cats don't like to feel like they are "owned". There is no love like that of a beloved pet or 3 year old grandson.

Abilene, TX

I love it!!!!! She is such a ham. "I know I've got it goin' on." HA HA Great way to start the day. But I would have loved to see your smiling face with her. : )

Kennebunk, ME(Zone 5a)

I just wanted to take a moment and Thank You all for the wonderful compliments. I think all gardeners have a "flair" to them unlike any other *lol*.

Kazz is a good cat. He has one gold eye and one blue eye. He's very well behaved. Has never touched any of the leather furniture like cats sometimes "kneed" to do. He doesn't require a litter box which is nice.

Anyways, although I don't grow african violets I'm sure I'll see many of you in the other rooms I frequent (hoyas, succulents, daylilies, morning glories, brugs, plant trading, winter sowing, seed trading are some of my favorites).

Nice seeing you all!

Kim

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

She doesn't grow african violets...... yet! I'm working on her, LOL. ;-)

Missouri City, TX(Zone 9a)

Get her Critter!

Kennebunk, ME(Zone 5a)

Critter.....You are so cute! I'm so glad we met.....FRIEND :)

Kim

Noblesville, IN(Zone 5a)

Here is a truly bad picture. I had to take it myself.

Long Island, NY(Zone 6b)

I think it's fine Makshi...how did you arrive at your screen name?

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Wonderful Picture Diane :)) Nice to see you !
Ok what about the rest of you !

Noblesville, IN(Zone 5a)

There isn't any rest. All I am is a little pudgy head. :) Really the rest of me is in a wheelchair and pretty much matches my head.

The name Makshi-is Native American for Honeybee.

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

I feel the same way Diane me in my wheel chair or most times just a big blob in bed who can't move.
It's all me :))

Kennebunk, ME(Zone 5a)

I give you BOTH alot of credit to be in wheelchairs and still be enjoying flowers and being able to do as much as you can! You are both beautiful!

Kim

Northern California, CA(Zone 9a)

Ditto to what Kim said! Lovely to see you Honeybee (love that!!)
And Kim, thanks for posting too, we'll have you hooked on violets before long! It all starts with one and then it's a down hill slide from there! he he he...
hugs,
Laurie

Long Island, NY(Zone 6b)

ooh - I like that, honeybee!!

I don't think it matters what obstables one has - if they can overcome them enough to enjoy gardening in whatever capacity they are able then that makes life better!

SW, WI(Zone 4b)

I don't think I've ever posted here, but I've been lurking, as I recently bought a few AV's that I couldn't resist, so I had to 'hop in' to see these photos.
You all *are* a good looking bunch (including your pets)!!

JesseK....you got a haircut, (didn't you?) & it looks great.

(ahem) Hey, Kim....if you ever wanna trade that DH or the cat, let me know! (LOL! just kiddin' you!)
I agree with the others...you're a nice-looking couple!

Agree w/Kim....everyone's beautiful!!

I'm camera shy, so I probably won't torture you with a photo!

Dallas, TX(Zone 8a)

Nan, yes I did get a haircut and thanks for the compliment.

I want to say to the ones that are in wheelchairs or are somewhat immobile, you are my inspiration, my heroes. Most people would have given up by now but you guys keep on going. You do not let your disabilities stop you from growing such beautiful plants and flowers. I am quite proud to be known as your friend. I am proud of you and I even tell my friends about you and what an inspiration you are to me and that you encourage me when I just want to give up. Keep on doing what you are doing and never stop. You have no idea how many people look up to you and read every single word that you type. You guys are great!

And so are the rest of you too! You are all great and I am so happy to be a part of something like DG where I have met so many wonderful people.

JesseK

Long Island, NY(Zone 6b)

Quoting:
I'm camera shy, so I probably won't torture you with a photo!

Sorry Nan - it's kinda like jury duty - no excuses! We wanna a pic of those pearly whites!

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Welcome Nan ! Nice to meet you. Please visit with us often. and please show us your smile !
I agree with you Jesse and you to Anita :))

SW, WI(Zone 4b)

It does look good, Jesse....how do *you* like it?
Beautiful words, Jesse, and well said.

Thanks for the welcome!
Nice to meet you too, Violet_Treasure....I've seen you 'round!

Anitabryk2....jury duty, eh? LOL! I'll think about it!
I'm the photographer in the family (and a very lousy one at that!)...so I know I don't have one, and I really am camera shy ;)

I'll have to get a few shots of the dogs, and my AV's....*that* I don't have a problem with, lol!!

Kennebunk, ME(Zone 5a)

Nan,

I had to put my shy face up so you have to brighten our day with yours. I HATE pictures too....I think there are only 3 of me that exist. I have to approve them first *lol*. I was going to post my Glamor Shot but then eveyone would know that was made up *lol*.

As far as hubby goes, he's a sweetheart. We've been best friends since we were 12. I wouldn't go out with him when we were younger cause I thought he was a geek. Now I'm SO PROUD he's my geek *lol*.

The cat....well....some days you could have him *lol*. He's a good cat but a belimic (sp?) If he's shedding and cleans himself up comes whatever he's eaten. He doesn't like 1 hair in his mouth...............then stop licking yourself you dumb butt! *lol*

I agree with Jesse and very nicely put Jess. I have seen people with disabilities accomplish things that people who aren't disabled take for granted and never attempt. So you green thumbs keep gardening as gardening is good for the mind/body/soul!

OK Nan, here's to "seeing" you in the next post you make *lol*

Kim

Caistor, United Kingdom(Zone 8b)

LOL every one here looks soooo good. I take the pictures in the family and am married to an Candid Camera nut... (me)honey take some nice pictures of me...(DH) ok I'll get some of you puttering around....LOL they are all of my butt and legs!!!! He is so proud of himself!! I do have one he took when I crawled out from under the Christmas tree rescuing a package from the dog ( the package was going to eat us) before she killed it..I might post that....Lauri

Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

honeybee and all...you guys are great...wish i accomplished as much as you folks do...gotta work on it...

SW, WI(Zone 4b)

lol, Kim....I'm lucky you're good natured, huh?
Well, your DH is a nice-looking 'geek' and he has a beautiful wife.
I love the story of your history....it's lucky people who get to marry their BF's and remain that way!

So Kazz in a 'clean-freak' inside and out?! lol!!
Well Kazz is a beauty, too.

That's just it, Kim....I don't want to 'pose'.....but I don't want anyone to see a 'grunge' photo, either!! (lol)

Lauri....I had to laugh at your DH taking pictures of those particular parts!
Interested in seeing the photo of the 'hungry package'!!

Makshi....I've seen you on the Hoya forum, 'member?
How are those hoyas doing, by the way?
I like your name too.....it's creative.....I was never good at being creative with a pseudonym, so I'm just *me*!

Missouri City, TX(Zone 9a)

Makshi- thanks for the info on the name, I thought it was an Asian name- LOL good thing you gave the origin. You are a lovely pudgy head! That was pretty funny! I love people who can laugh at themselves- sometimes I laugh at myself just so the rest of the world doesn't have to feel they are laughing at me. Trached? I am 48 years post trach- wow saying I am 48 years post anything makes me feel really, really old! We are a wonderous bunch of beautiful folks.

Kim- I understand completely that you want to hang on to your DH, but I have dibs should you change your mind. I don't mind geeks.

Kennebunk, ME(Zone 5a)

You are so funny everyone! You know, hubby is such a great guy on top of it. It's his attitude toward life that really attracts me to him. He NEVER gets moody or has a bad day....it amazes me. He is the most positive person I have ever encountered. The best thing about him is his unconditional love towards me. I have literally put the man through hell and couldn't push him away even when I wanted to.

I thank you all for putting dibs in ladies but I have to tell you, I think he's mine whether I like it or not *lol*.

Kim

Long Island, NY(Zone 6b)

As my grandmother would say - "you found your lid, every pot has one"

Denver, CO

I have been outdoors too much to watch this place closely, but what is Lorry up to?

Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

Kenton..i think Lorry is off and running to Fairchild Gardens in Miami area where she's meeting Laurie (begoniacrazi)...will be lots of fun for them...

Northern California, CA(Zone 9a)

yup! Wish you could make it Bob!

Long Island, NY(Zone 6b)

someone must have brought her lap top...Hey Laurie, how much do they charge for internet at the hotels? I've often wondered.

Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

anita...most internet at hotels is free...some cities like New Orleans..(the first) is all hot wired....
..Laurie...here's a hug for you as well...enjoy your day...know you're in the midst of it now....

Long Island, NY(Zone 6b)

Thanks Bob. I don't have a laptop, but I was curious to see if they used that as another source of 'income'

Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

anita..i think some hotels may have a free svc for guests..or maybe even charge...not sure...but kind of think it's included in costs
