Nanna, you're a dumplin and I could just HUG you!
Putting face to the names
Mmmmm Dumplings!!!!!
Fun time Jill.
You guys must drinking the Oil of Olay! None of you look your stated ages!
We are such gorgeous folk and so nice and modest too! I really can't think of a more perfect group of folks.
I cannot imagine having 10 children, I cannot imagine having 3 grandchildren in one year! And although when I was young and stupid, expecting my 1st and thought twins would be great, I now cannot imagine having twins!
You are all stronger than I am!
and who is Stevie? Is he on the board also?
I am so nosey :)
hehe sorry about that. He's my boyfriend. He is definitely not on the board. :) He doesn't mind all of my plants but doesn't especially like them either. He's supportive of everything that I do though, even if he doesn't share my enthusiasm.
Well you guys are a cute couple :)
My husband doesn't like MY plants LOL
But he has his own fascinations...Bamboo and palms..so I leave him alone on that and I can take over the house with my AVs :)
Everybody looks great! This has been so fun. Thank you, Lorry, for starting this thread!
How neat so see everyone I chat with around here! Clearly, African Violets are very picky about who they hang out with! Who knew? Plants with good taste! LOL
Here's me, not a new pic, but the one available.
Karen
(Yes, kudos for starting this thread! You all look so great!)

i think we're all just showing off our beauty...roflmbbo.....everyone looks good
This is lots of fun seeing everyone...especially the families.
Lorry: Thanks!! I searched for a pic. of just me but it seems like all of them are with other people, mostly Stevie.
LOL...me to Petal so I can relate. It seems all have been taken with Chris.
Well yeah Lorry, what's not to like?
WOW, PlantMom you have HUGE respect from me! Perhaps change your screen name to SuperMomTo3. You have 3 little ones and manage to find time to surf the forums AND do plants too? My hat is off to you!
I guess it's been a while since mine were little, I forget how as moms we learn to juggle so much - so efficiently! Way To Go!
(doing a cheer with my pom poms for you!)
Begonia--You are too nice! Thanks for the nice words. My secret is that I'm very organized and sleep-deprived. I make lists, which probably drives hubby nuts although he's too nice to say anything. As crazy as our lives are, I feel very fortunate to have three happy and healthy kids. AND my kids all love plants!
I just get to check forums a few times a day and sometimes a day or two will go by with no time to get online.
Love the supermom design. I need to get a pattern and put it on a shirt! You are VERY talented.
I can email the .jpg to you, you can take it to a screenprint shop and they can put it on a shirt!
I can also put your name on it if you like. It's just a simple adobe file.
Wow. There are a load of children around here. Do my fish count?
Plantmom; I am a compulsive listmaker. I have a scap of paper in my pocket to make sure I do everything each day. If it ain't written, it ain't happn'n.
Bob, The Miriablis (4'o'clock) has flowers that look similar to Solanaceae, but note the differences that the flowers produced one seed each, with no fruity outing, and the leaves are opposite, that is, they come in twos. The Nico. and Mir. might have been in teh same family, but you know those fickle schinetists- always changing taxonomy. You're not 71, stop pulling our legs, silly.
Kenton
well Kenton..i don't have enough sense to act my age...that's why i'm a teenager....9-17-34 was the start...roflmbbo..
Yeah I don't know how I'd do w/ 3 little ones. My last 2 were 2 years apart and thankfully the older of the 2 was kind and motherly toward the younger- they were on autopilot for much of the time. I was organized once but making a list now would not help, I'd never find the list!
I watch my 3 yr old grandson- only grandchild- Kai, several days a week. He's my reason for living and the absolute lite of my life. The other day he told me I was his best friend!
Since we are O/T anyway and putting names to faces, thought I'd send a picture of my sweetheart!
Oh... I LOVE this! How fun! :)
I know I've been a little out of the loop lately, I'm glad I didn't miss this! :) Now, a picture I'm willing to let everyone see... hmmm... ;)
Ok, I didn't like this one so much because I have my glasses on... but, the smile is most genuine in this picture... let me explain:
I should be the poster child for internet safety! LOL :) I've been chatting with this guy online for over 2 years. We've STILL never met... he lives about 30 minutes from me. We just keep chatting and have been low pressure on the meeting thing. Anyway, we decided we needed to exchange more pictures. So, I used the self-timer on my camera to take this one, and in this particular shot, I was starting to laugh at myself, as I realized I was playing "Beat the Clock" with my camera! LOL :) Click, run, pose, ~smile~! The tension with the timer counting down is more than I can convey :) Try it if you haven't, it's pretty fun! :) LOL
Anyway, here's my pic! :)

Your smile is beautiful and your glasses look great! Sometimes wish that I could wear contacts, but no, my eyes are too dry and after 5 minutes it feels like there is sandpaper glued to the contacts!
Very nice picture.
April, I'm NOT believing that you are old enough to be a grandma!! I can see why he's the light of your life, cutie pie!!
Aw... thanks, April :) I'm not sure if my eye doc will let me go with contacts.... I was planning on asking him next time I'm there. He thinks I have this funky eye disorder that will keep degenerating my vision till I need corneal transplant. But we're not really sure because I can't get my insurance to pay for corneal topography. Anyway, I have an irregular astigmatism he cannot correct, so even my glasses aren't too corrective, but they help somewhat. Anyway, it'll be interesting to see if he'll let me wear contacts. I used to wear them (before my eyes got worse), but that was with a different doc, so we'll see :)
Sarah
Oh yeah begonia, trust me, I am plenty old enough to be a grandma!
I actually call him cutie pie, but he reminds me that he's not a cutie pie, but just Kai!
roflmbbo.....you guys are great!!
Hiya Sarah!
I can wait for warmer weather and to go violet-shopping with you to spoil our Easter trade buddies. How's your little star glowing? Is she still giving you such adorable trouble?
I should tell you that an old picture of yours (I think) about wick-watering prompted me to try what was pictured. It worked smoothly and unobtrusively.
Kenton
anita how pretty you all are...where is ronkonkoma?..i'm, familiar with bowling green..louisville etc...
All beautiful Smiles ! I am enjoying them all ! Kids and pets too :)) Thanks everyone for sharing and Lorry for starting the thread. Hope we see more smiles !
AMEN!!
Ah, yes, James :) My very own "celestial body" LOL :) She's fine, she's adjusting to our new schedule this week... She's had a long week, as have I. We have long hours this semester, out the door by 6:45 am and home mid to late afternoon. To complicate this, she's just gone to a new daycare, so she's been particularly clingy and acting out just a bit. :) This makes is a tad frustrating when Mommy's trying to concentrate on her new classes, but it will surely pass and she'll be looking forward to her birthday soon :) (02/22, same as George Washington :)
Glad you liked my method of wick-watering! I have had a case of thrips over the holidays and lost a lot of my plants. I just didn't have time during December to deal with the problem when it was happening. So, I'll have extra fun shopping for my Bunny person, and myself! :) YEAH! :) I will be buying/getting from grandma all the things I will trade so as not to pass on my thrips. It's going to be so fun! :) Dmail me when you have an estimate as to when you're "coming over" :)
Sarah
Gorgeous girls! Love their little smiles!
Thanks everyone. Bob - Ronkonkoma is on Long Island
Lorry, what is your job?
That's a beautiful picture of you Lorry ! Don't work too hard. Allison
