Now u all just hush, I put in dibs for a visit from darius a lo-o-ong time ago!! LOL!! but I am overjoyed to hear ur lungs are doing better - all that physical work had me wondering if u were overdoing it, but I trust Molly - bet she makes u quit when u need to! :) That really is the best news I've heard in awhile, just makes me grin ear to ear. :D HURRAH!!

We had our first day of sunshine in about two weeks yesterday, hope u Wisconsinites inherited that weather today. Boy, does that lift DH's spirits! I'm not affected much by the weather, or none at all really. I just figure, wait a day, hour or minute, it'll change! :) The eternal optimist here...

Got notice at work today that all overtime is gone. Rats! We figured it had to be coming since the call volume had dropped so much lower since we can now warn callers about the 'scam' internet calls, when we have enough criteria on them, that is. I hope it doesn't come to lay-offs since I haven't been there a year yet. I'm at the bottom of the pile.

Hope u all have a good night!! and get well, all u sickies, I demand it!!

Darius,
Probably,,,unless you can find a lawyer that is licensed in both FL and NC,,,,that would be nice,,,no extra trips needed that way. If you travel the country,,,you're welcome here!!!!

kooger,,,,we never got that sunshine,,,,,I think we're on 15 or 16 + or - days without sun now,,,,,gggrrrrr,,,,Thanks God for Happy Pills and Happier Pills,,,,LOL

Hi all!!!!!! Gosh how I have miss all of you and the daily thread. My home computer had a conflict and the tech had to do a complete clean of the hard drive so all my favorite sites and stuff are gone. BOOO HHHOOOO. My laptop is still down, extra problems with it so he took it home with him and I should have it back in a week or so.

I have sworn off caffeine. So I have had a headache for the past 4 days, so reading the past posts to catch up just is too much, so to all that are ill, hurt or just down I wish you better. I did Darius is really do a job and a half over at Mollys. I am so glad they have each other right now when they both need it.

I will check in after dinner.

Casey

Oh Casey ... how in the world do you manage without your computer! Oh ... and on top of that no caffine! Nope, couldn't do that. LOL You are a better person than me, girl. hehehe

Meezers, am counting down those days with you. Bet you can hardly wait now! Wish I was gonna be there to give your kitty a hug and snuggle.

Darius, just give me a call when you head back up this way.

Kooger, how is that friend of yours doing ... the one that knows Braille? ;)

Hi Defoe ... how is your DM's head? And what about your MIL? Have you had another report on her?

Kelly, did your day pick up or did you wind up having to do house work? LOL

Okay, where are our guys? Haven't heard from them in a while. Who has that pretty wood working project? We really need an update. And where is our new fella? :)

Okay, I'm trying to start cataloging my seeds and deciding what I'm going to have room to plant this year ... so I'm off to do some reading.
Hugs ... Elaine

Casey,
grrrrr, on the puter. Good to see you,,,,was wondering where you'd gone off to. Caffeine withdrawals,,,,ouch,,,,a person really should ween themselves off of caffeine,,,,no headaches that way.

Elaine,
I was done working at 4:00,,,sat on puter for the rest of the afternoon,,,,made myself some scrambled eggs for dinner and watched a little TV. No house work got done.

Kelly

Millbury, MA(Zone 5a)

Ooooh, Casey, I think that if I had to give up caffein I'd probably have to give up "awake" as well! I hope your headache goes away very soon.

D'cat, I hope your MIL's current condition is only a temporary setback. Same goes for everyone else here who's suffering ills of one sort or other ---- especially Susan.

Weather is pretty crappy here as well, but to be expected this time of year. We're supposed to have the driveway plowed early tomorrow morning. I sure hope so, as my mother has an appointment tomorrow morning! Apparently DH's car was in the way when our plow person showed up and he didn't come to the door because it was pretty late at night. That doesn't explain why he never bothered to call us, of course, but c'est la vie, I guess.

Still trying to get over the lousy mood I've been in today. It's the same old, same old with DH. He hasn't been able to get another job, so in addition to the money worries, he's just determined to drive me nuts by invading my business. There's tons of stuff he could do at home, but apparently if I'm not standing there, he just can't seem to manage to tackle any of the jobs that need doing on the home front. Instead he's in total denial about the problem no matter how much I yell or tear my hair out. Short of a divorce and a restraining order I just can't keep him out from underfoot. Sometimes I just feel like throwing the store keys at him and going for a walk --- for about a month or two! How in the world do you retired gals manage?

I'm off to take an anti-histamine and try to knock myself out for the next several hours. Goodnight all.

Central, WI(Zone 4a)

McCool,

How frustrating for you,,,,hopefully he finds a job soon,,,how long has he been not working? Men, I think most of them are cut from the same mold,,,,grrrrrr

Try to take it easy,,,I know that's easier said than done,,,but please try.

Casey,

Maybe you should have waited a few days to swear off caffeine. Good luck with that!

Jody

Oh Maccool, my heart goes out to you. Am sending the 2X4 over just in case you need it. ;) Will say some prayers as they will be much more helpful. Just hang in there and feel free to come over and vent when you need to.

Well, I have read all the posts, yukky weather, (here too), sickness, guys underfoot, waiting for new kitties, taking care of existing furbies, accidents, preparing for surgery, house cleaning, off caffeine, puter problems, Geek, my computer does that same thing sometimes, lost posts, people building things, gee what a group-diverse one at that.

Thanks all for the inquiries about DM and DMIL. Took DM to church tonight, and as got home and I walked in the door, phone rang, was youngest SIL, calling from the hospital, saying DMIL is worse, and going down hill fast. All siblings have gone to the hospital, and I am waiting for DH to call to let me know the situation. Pray hard, please. The reason I am at home is to field the calls. DMIL has 2 sisters out of state, and I am relaying information to them. Plus, I don't want to be far away from DM, as I am checking her blood pressure, today 3 times. Way Way too high. So after I check it in the morning, if it hasn't improved with rest tonight, am calling the Dr for her. The last reading was 191/118.

So we had a good meal at the church meeting. A member made a big pot of vegetable soup, we had sandwiches, chips, salad and 2 cakes, a pecan pie, and my cherry cobbler. As usual ate too much.

Well going to sign off for now, and will let you know the condition of DMIL when I hear.

Oh, BTW. Darius, you know you are welcome in Kentucky any time you want to visit. Early spring and fall are really the best weather. But hey, you can come anytime. I will even let you show me some of your culinary magic. Don't have any building projects, but if pressured, I may come up with one!!.

Thanks all, DH just called from the hospital, and DMIL is now comotose, and unresponsive. So it looks like a not so good outcome. They have called the surgeon, and he is evaluating the situation. They think maybe one of the valves is leaking, so more surgery may be called for. She is a dear Christian lady, and is ready to go, but it is so hard to sit back and not be able to do anything. Thanks for your prayers and thoughts. Will let you know if other news is received.
