Oh critter..what is the one on the bottom row..second in from the left?
Green and pink leaves? I want that on my wishlist!
Actually ALL Of them on my wishlist! Girl foliage!!!!!!!!!!
I have a TON of plants down now thanks to the mess the bargain violets were in....so I should have tons to share come spring..with any luck
I did lose a lot of leaves to rot though :(
So will probably put down more this weekend.

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

LOL! Do you know, I wasn't aware that image was loaded to post when I hit "send"... Ha! Well, I'm glad it posted..... yep, that's the tray of girl foliage AVs from our fall trip to The Violet Gallery!

Top to bottom, left to right is: 'Kingwood Blue', 'Biscayne Bay' (trailer), 'Sure to Please', 'Madeleine', 'Rob's Ragamuffin', 'Cambridge Missy', and 'Baby Jay'. That last one isn't actually a girl leaf... the leaves are pointed and don't have a scallopped edge, but they have that cupped shape and light spot at the base that is also typical of girl foliage.

Bottom row, second from left is 'Rob's Ragamuffin' -- absolutely adorable, and I haven't even seen it in bloom yet. That's one I discovered had been missed when I inventoried leaf pots this weekend, so I'll put down a few leaves this week.

I'm doing pretty well with the leaves, knock on wood.... I'm pretty sure I've lost fewer than a dozen, and since I generally stick 2 small leaves per 2 inch pot, that means I only lost a couple of pots, as I can usually get at least one of the leaves to root. This is the exciting time for me, as I discover new ears every morning now!

Vero Beach, FL(Zone 9b)

Put me on the wishlist for each and every one of them! I am a girl foliage JUNKIE!

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

So, Lorry, Laurie, Allison.... Do you like this girl leaf noid? I call her "Rosie Girl," and she seems to be a semimini, as she grew to just a bit over 5 inches in diameter and hasn't gotten any wider in 2 years. I think we've had some discussion about what her "real" ID might be and whether she's different (maybe a little, at least in size) than begonia's first noid pictured above... but I'm content just to call her "Rosie Girl!"

I should have 3 good sized plants of "Rosie Girl noid" available for spring trades.... One I want to send to BetsyJ.... Do I need to put down more leaves? Or just roll dice to see who gets a plant and who gets a leaf, LOL?

She's heading for full bloom again, so she'll soon be pulled off the shelf for decorative duty, LOL, but here's an older photo of her. I adjusted the color to try to get the photo as true as possible to the bloom color, which is the deeper rose color you see toward the center of the bloom... elsewhere, the flash washed out the color.

definitely different. yours is a cutie pie! mine has a real smooth edge and yours looks to have some serrating to it, also mine doesn't have the pronounced color in the center bottom of the leaf. and look at the sinus curl on mine, cant tell if yours has it as pronounced! So, naturally I love it!

Maybe I should name mine 'Rosie's Girlfriend' LOL! My kitty is named Rosie (Rosie bud really) here's her baby, Thing One, as she was 'helping' me take photos of my bargain babies last night. Not sure where her brother and partner in crime was, Thing Two.

I saw that one. Drooled, and then moved on due to the price. Until I stop killing them (latest mortality is Rob's Antique Rose - both plant and leaves! :-(

I wont be paying that much. I'll keep practicing on my $1 bargains! Yea, wonderous girl is the one coming, I thought it was a mini - what is it?

She's so darn cute, especially that photo you posted with her in her sweater or shirt. She must have some Doxie in her, does she?
Mine are all naughty basset hounds. Low to the ground and large! Ellie is about 55 #, but Amber weighed in today at the vet (she had a dental and ear cleaning) a whopping 80 pounds. It's a hoot trying to heave her into the truck! She is too tender for me to get my arms around her tummy so I have to use my hands like a hoist and she steps on them (kind of like when we were kids and hopping over a fence, one friends locks their fingers and gives a heave-ho)

She's snoozing in the kitchen recovering from anestesia. Totally grogged out!

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Love your furry helpers, begonia! Thing One looks like a conniving little scamp!

So, I should add "Rosie Girl" to your wish list, begonia?

Have you seen 'Buckeye Cherry Freckles'? Check it out! http://www.violetgallery.com/html%20pics/buckeyecherryfreckles.html
