Whew, I'm pooped and too tired to make individual replies and comments. BUT I have all my bedroom area and almost all the office packed up, excepting what I will need to use for the next week. That leaves the rest of the pantry and the kitchen. Ugh.

Welcome Echoes, a really great bunch of ladies and guys on this board. You are going to love it here..
DR, now that your birthday is at least half over I hope it was a great one so far and that it only gets better from here.
M5 I wish I could do or say something to help you feel better. I get so upset at the loss of a pet. DH says my heart is to big for my own good. Because I cry when I lose one of my little fish also.
DMC, so glad to hear you are out of pain.
Darius I wouldn't let someone who cant understand a few mistakes get you worked up. They need to find a way to adjust. I have severe dyslexia and although I may think the word is spelled correctly it isn't. It's not something that I can do much about, I cant use a google tool bar on this laptop. (not mine, work issued) So if I mispell something here, change it in your mind and we will be even. Because to me every has some interesting spelling mistakes in my eyes.
Sarv, I think that the cookies should be tested by a few of your internet friends to be sure. I will be waiting for mine. LOL JK
I had DH take me to the mall today. I had to buy some new pants. Because the students at our school are not of the best behaved sort, they prefer the staff wear only shoes that you are able to run in. Also no jeans. So I got a few pairs of dress slacks by Wrangler. They are nice enough for work and then after we move I can still use them as casual wear. I hated having to buy clothes that I really dont need so had to justify it with something I can at least use for more then the year I have left here. Found a set of sheep skin seat covers for my sons car. The vinyl on his seats is getting pretty bad.
Mary, all of my Orchids are in lava rocks with silica pellets on the bottom, they are all doing great. My neighbor repotted all mine when she saw mine were in the bark mixture and not doing well while I was on vacation last summer.
Hope all are doing well.
Casey
Well...my papers are pretty much sorted, then I turned around a looked at the wall full of CD's and thought "Hmmm...maybe I should alphabetize them. Yes...that's a good idea." NOT! I can never remember which part of the artists name I used when I put them in the rack...so I can't find them anyway. LOL
Then I got the idea that I needed to add *real* labels to my home made cd's and DVD's...SOooooo...I went Internet shopping to find some good software. Bought one...didn't like it...bought a second one...LOVED that one! hehehe (I really shouldn't be turned loose with a credit card and an internet connection!)
In short...I wasted the day and had a blast doing it! :-D
Darius, sounds to me like you're just about ready to 'toddle' off to a new home. And you're doing a great job of getting it all done. I could never manage a move by myself. I'd probably be one of those who threw a match in as I left the front door and not bother to look back. (Do they still have 'furnished apartments'? hehehe)
Mary, I wanted to comment earlier on your photos but completely forgot. Those are beauties! Nice to see another part of the country for a change.
Oh...and if there's someone out there monitoring my spelling...don't bother! I'll just let you know I make lots of mistakes and if you can't read through them...don't bother reading my posts! (So THERE! :-P) :-) (I have the spellchecker...but I have to USE it for it to work, right? LOL)
Has anyone seen my CD box for the Neil Diamond Christmas Album? How about the one for the Mannheim Steamroller 'Fresh Aire Christmas CD? I can't find them anywhere! Sure would appreciate some help here...LOL
Sheila...there is NO way I'm volunteering to clean someone else's basement. What do you think I'm doing these CDs for? To get out of cleaning MY OWN, that's what! LOL
Hi to everyone...I'll be back later to start tomorrow's thread.
~julie~
Ok, Casey, what does the orchid live on if it's sitting in lava rocks and silica? I did see some liquid fertilizer for orchids at the store. Do you use that? More info, please. Also, your work clothes make me think you work in a pretty rough school. Do they expect you to chase down students or run from them? Dyslexia, oh yes, I have that too, but not too seriously. A little of it goes a long way, and I do type a lot of words backward, or parts of them. Also, I have problems with left and right, especially if I am in a hurry or giving directions. It tends to make life interesting. My sister had it worse, she saw things backward when she was learning to write and the nuns didn't understand that she wasn't just being a mean kid, so she was wacked on the knuckles with a ruler a lot. Consequently she wants nothing to do with any kind of religion. Sad.
Dinner tonight is a one pot boiled dinner with carrots, onions, potatoes, cabbage and smoked sausage. It's smelling real good and almost done.
Mannheim Steamroller, YES! We have some of them, but I haven't seen your missing box. I guess I need to see if they have a new Christmas CD this year. Hadn't thought of it until now.
Dinner time.
FOUND IT!!! (It was the CD that was missing...the box was sitting here by the CPU...LOL...the disk was up by the printer in a box that *looked* empty. I just love it when I find missing things...especially those that have been "missing" for a long time. hehehe)
Now...Since you couldn't help me with the Mannheim Steamroller, how about that Neil Diamond case? Huh? :-D
I've started tomorrow's thread.
Here's a link if you need it: http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/560691/
BTW...you don't have post in any "tomorrow's" thread until you're good and ready. LOL I just want to get it up before I shut the computer down.
Have a great night!
~julie~
Well, it's been a few hours since I checked in. We have not gotten the ice/sleet/freezing rain. So far it has just been rain. So at about 3:30 we left to do some shopping. Got a couple of things, I do better Christmas shopping by myself. So one day next week, I will drive 50 miles into the big city (Louisville, Ky.) and try to finish my shopping. We ate at a Chinese restaurant. Was good. The buffet kind, where you can sample all kinds of stuff. I re-read my Sunday School lesson, and read awhile. DS (twin) called tonight to say that her husband's mother is not doing well. In the hospital with pneumonia. That is the reason we cancelled/postponed our trip this week to Gatlinburg. Instead we may be heading north to a funeral. Her call was a "heads up" that it was probably near. DH's funky brother called tonight and wants him to help butcher hogs tomorrow. So he says maybe after church. This is not like him, he does nothing on Sunday. So I wonder what's up? Well, I am off to bed shortly, back is better, arm is not hurting now, so hopefully it will be a good night. Will try to check in in the morning before church, as I have very little cooking left to do, so should have some time.
Good Night all.
Well, Good Evening All,
Did ya miss me ???? LOL,,,,,,,I *Finally * got to get on my own puter. A friend of ours was over and hijacked the puter *All* day,,,ggggrrrrrr, I read all of the posts but can't remember what I read, so won't comment on all.
Julie,
glad you found your way to the puter amongst all that organization,,,LOL Good feeling tho huh???
Glad to hear Oskar is doing a little better today.
darius,
That stinks but I'm glad you got an apology.
All else, I'm not leaving you out on purpose,,,just have to get to some other threads since I *just* got my puter back,,,LOL
I'll see you tomorrow, ((((((Hugs to all))))))
Kely
Hi all
Our nieces have gone. Our high school football team has won state championship for the second year in a row ... so life is good. Ooooh, that didn't come out right with both those in the same sentence as we enjoyed the kids. LOL
Defoe, sure wish I had been smart like you and done my cooking for tomorrow. I usually at least put a roast in the crock pot for after church but didn't even do that today. Am glad to hear you're feeling better. Hope you have a good night.
Darius, no offense ... but I'm glad it's you moving and not me. I said the last time we did it ... it would be my last time. LOL :)
I got my sand dollars finished today and am proud of them. Not good with craft projects, but think these are pretty ... simple, but pretty. They look nice with the lighthouses on my tree.
I know I'm missing a lot of news but have drawn a complete blank at the moment so please don't take it personal. Think I've had a senior moment. :) Hope everyone has a good night and wakes up feeling rested with no aches and pains.

Good Evening!
We left early this morning to drive to Davenport. Dh and Jenna won our local Family Doubles Bowling Tournement last month and today was the Regional Tournement. We all had alot of fun, they bowled well and Jenna remembered to be courtious and wait her turn. This is progress!!!
After they finished, we went for lunch. Nathan's 15th Birthday is Wednesday.....soooo....we took him to Hooters! Dh and I had fun teasing him, and the waitresses made a big fuss when I "let it slip" about his birthday. He wanted to kill me, lol. He is such a great kid, and even with his struggles, I NEVER forget that. The waitresses even fussed over Jenna, they kept bringing her balloons. By the time we went to leave she had 14 balloons! They wouldn't all fit in the car so I carefully let the air out of them and I will put them in her scrapbook.
The drive home was a nightmare though. Last night we got around 2 inches of new snow, and this morning the roads were mostly ok. As we were finishing lunch we could see it was just strting to flurry a bit. I had checked the forecast before we left and the snow wasn't supposed to start untill after 4pm. We had the waitress switch one of the tv's from football to the weather channel. Boy am I glad we did. We had planned to head to the nice mall and do a bit of Christmas/Birthday shopping, but we packed up and headed home. Dh had enough of a sinus headache that he didn't really want to drive, so I did. I don't mind driving in snow, but I'm not a big fan of fog. It took me 3 hours to go 67 miles. That is just driving time. I'm not counting the time we lost when we stopped 3 times to check on the cars that slid off the road in front of us. I'm really glad we have good tires (a benifit of selling them for so long, lol!) and a cell phone. We did some slipping and some sliding, but stayed on the road.
M5~I'm so sorry about Oskar. Sometimes the best way to return the love our babies have given us is to be unselfish, even though it breaks our hearts. My dad's little dog is fading as well, and I will be the one to take her in, dad just can't do it himself. He wants her to not suffer, but he just can't be the one to drive her there.
Here is a quick pic of my car just to show you how much more snow has fallen since we got home. You can barely see where Nathan shoveled! I'm betting our total today will be over 6 inches. I'll take some more pics in the morning from across the street and so you can see the front of our house. We are getting a pretty good drift on one side.
Stay Warm and dry!
mg
mg,
Sounds like a nice day that went downhill due to the weather. Sure glad you made it home o.k. Try and unwind now and relax. Tough driving conditions get a person so tensed up.
Good Night,
Kelly
Aw, she looks like a little angel
The hair hides her horns.
She just *looks* like she is sleeping, she isn't, she is recharging!!
LOL,,,that's usually the way it is.
Kelly
