Hmmm...I just bought a CD the other day because it had th song "My Favorite Things" on it. I love that song, and it's on very few Christmas CD's.

My Mom loved Little Drummer Boy, and I like that one because it brings back bittersweet memories of her.

Another favorite is Silver Bells, because it's so upbeat.

Actually, I can't think of one that I don't like. I love them all, and the reason for the season. :)

I love Stevie Wonders Christmas Album. I am on my third copy of it! Got the first one in 1979. Some songs on it can really grab my heart.....like One Little Christmas Tree.

Silver Bells is a favorite

Away in the manger and Silent Night have a special place in my heart also.

I have a kind of fettish for "twisted Christmas" and Santa's Stuck up in the chimney song!

I have my stand by favorites, "Wilbur the Christmas Mouse", I'm Gettin Nuttin for Christmas....and of course....I want a Hippopatamus for Christmas! Yep, nuts just like me! LOL

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

I forgot to add Snoopy's Christmas! (the one where Snoopy and the Red Baron have a Christmas toast)

Belfield, ND(Zone 4a)

When I was a little girl, I had Snoopy's Christmas on an album. That was like...in the sixties. :) I wish I still had it, and the phonograph to play it on. You brought back some memories when you mentioned Snoopy and the Red Baron.

I used to have Alabama's Christmas cassette tape. I literally loved that tape to death. It quit working a couple Christmas's ago. LOL I still remember all the words to "Thistlehair, the Christmas bear". I may have to check ebay to see if someone is selling that tape. I'm not sure it's still sold in stores.

Lyndonville, NY

Joan, I think it is out on CD now, I think I have it! I will double check and let you know. Walmart & Target usually have the older Christmas releases every year, and decent prices.

Belfield, ND(Zone 4a)

Really? The Alabama one? I checked all the Christmas CD's at my Walmart the other day, and picked up a couple, but I didn't see the Alabama one. I don't have a Target very close. But, if it's out on CD, I should be able to find one online.

"Percy the Puny Poinsettia" Just screams out to me, lol!

Percy, the puny poinsettia,
Hanging his bloom in dismay.
If they had just kept him wetter,
He'd be a houseplant today.
Folk like the other plants better,
Now he's alone on the shelf.
Even a plant with no uncle or aunt,
Shouldn't spend Christmas day by himself.

From the "Grandma got run over by a reindeer" CD.

Sand Springs, OK(Zone 7a)

oh i am makeing a list to get some more christmas music . Is there a safe place to buy on line with out getting my toes in wringer ?

"Oh Holy Night" is my favourite Christmas song, all in all.

And I just *love* John Denver's "Rocky Mountain Christmas". We had the record when I was a kid, and I loved it then, but as I got older I wouldn't listen to it because it wasn't "cool" enough. I have a greater appreciation for it now. I got a copy of the CD a couple of years ago--it's like an old friend. "Aspenglow" is just a gorgeous song!

Lyndonville, NY

Oh I forgot about Percy! My DH has that on an OLD record, his turntable still works...so we pull out the oldies for the kids.

I forgot about one of my favorite, I love Dean Martin and have his Christmas Cd. Sometimes I even listen to it in the summer! Just something about his voice is soothing from a childhood memory.

I am glad Joan that you found the Cd, I knew it was out there.
