Well, it's after midnight and I just woke up, so I'm posting here.

I had my appt with the Pain Clinic yesterday afternoon. They had told me the procedure would take less than 45 mins, so I told my dad who was there to drive me, to come for me in an hour. By that time I had been transferred back to the room I started in and when they checked my back i had developed a leak. They started an IV and gave me something in that and I don't remember much for 4 hours after that. Dad called dh, dh dropped the kids off at SIL's and came up to the hospital. About all I remember is they kept asking me if I had a headache and I kept telling them no. Dh told me after I was able to come home (about 830pm) that the nurses had these funky green colored gauze pads under a huge sandbag on my back, and they had to sedate me to keep me from rolling over. I got home and headed right for the bed and slept another couple of hours. I got up a little while ago and finished reading yesterday's thread and skimmed a few others. Now I'm going back to eat some toast and go back to bed. I'll call the Clinic tomorrow and find out what happened and whether or not I'm supposed to have the same procedure again in 2 weeks. My back still hurts, but they had told me it would take 2 or 3 days before it kicked in, but that was before the complications, so I dunno at this point.

I shouldn't try to type when I'm fuzzy headed, lol.

MG~I never had a problem like that happen to me or DH. Both of us were a little sore at the site but by the next night the back pain was all but gone. I would like to know what was leaking?? Sounds unusual to me too. Let us know...Glad you are well enough to check in and strong enough to get something to eat. Yahoo...

Casey

south of Grand Rapid, MI(Zone 5a)

mg- leaky back?? Now that does sound weird. Hope all turns out well for you and you are painfree!!!

Reading all the posts about kids gone bad and good sure does give you a reality check. I've just always tried to do my best and lend a hand when I can. I sometimes feel guilty when I see in Sun. paper the pics of kids needing homes. I would love to offer ours, but don't as I almost went 'crazy' raising our own flesh and blood. I don't know if I have the oomph to handle a round two of teens. - No I KNOW I don't have the oomph. It's a sad world out there...

I was listening to WGN (Chicago station) last night and they were talking about the new drug prescription plan. Man, does that sound like it is absolutely nutso!! I don't have to make that decision yet, but pity those who do. My mom finally made a decision, but I am not sure it is the right one. No one will help MIL, so I think I will offer to do some research for her. I hesitate to do so because it will be my fault if it doesn't suit her -and I can guarantee that she will complain!! It sounds overwhelming...

Today is lunch and movies with the retired girls- we always have a grand time. It is windy and chilly out and we are in a watch area for tornadoes today. Who ever heard of this stuff in November.

62 deg in the house and I need to stoke up the fire. take care all

Rehoboth, MA(Zone 5a)

Good Morning, every one
Thinking of you, MG, hope you'll be ok, but wondering why that happened?
Sarv, what to you you mean by 'stoking the fire,, just an expression I hope? Do have a good time with your friends.
DR, My children still call me when they get home from having traveled I giess it is a habit from when they first lived away from home and I do call them also when I get back.
Glad to know what keeps an airplne up, Ernie, LOL, still don't understand but as long as what ever it is as it goes savely up, stays up and comes down again is all that matters to me, ;-)))
Julie, stay well, take case of your self!!
Samsom got sapped yesterday by the electric fence. was he surprised won't go near there again. He is getting another lesson in about an hour though it looks like rain.
DD and husband stopped by last night with pizza, the kind with that extra oven baked thin crust, it was yummy, John, my son-on-law fell in love with Samson and he with him, what fun they had playing with a tennis ball.
I still do not feel right, still very tired from pneumonia now I have the biggest fever blister on my lip, you have ever seen, yuk

Lake Toxaway, NC(Zone 7a)

I have no idea what a leaking back is either.
My husband is trying to sign up for the prescription plan. Now he is nicknamed Genius John by his nieces and nephews and still finds it impossibly long and difficult.
This is just like "Leave No Child Behind." A pretty name for an undoable program. Has it purposely been made difficult so people will not sign up but sounds like somebody in Washington has a clue what reality is about?
I need to go to Curves. I missed going for some time, my back being the excuse, but if I don't go I just get stiff all over and that dominoes......

south of Grand Rapid, MI(Zone 5a)

Maria- stoke the fire means to stir up the coals, put some new wood on and more paper if needed. It is blasting warm air right now - downright toasty!! Glad your SIL loves Samson. Hope the rain holds off for his 2nd class instruction! Hey, where is your friend. Do tell her to come over here and chat with us for a while.

Wood - the 'no child left behind' was a real joke in the system where I taught. We spent more time testing than actually teaching. Plus they mandate all kinds of programs with no $$ to offset the cost. Don't get me started!! I am sure this will change when they have a changing of the guards - hope this isn't too political!!

I am fighting with another headache - right where my migraine comes. A storm is coming thru and this often caues me problems. Took one aspirin, but may need another!! I am trying to eat better today - oatmeal for breakfast and home made grape juice, lunch out, and veg soup/homemade bread for dinner.

I'm still putting burts bee stuff on my heels - no miracle yet!! Just a bunch of greasy socks to wash. ugh

Rehoboth, MA(Zone 5a)

I see, Sarv, you must be talking about a fire place or is this your furnace, if that 's what it is what a job, would not envy you.
Get a prescription, I have one, it truly works better then anythingelse I ever usedand it is not as greasy

Central, WI(Zone 4a)

Morning All,

mg,

I hope you start to feel better. What was wrong in the first place that you went in for? I don't remember reading it in anywhere.

That drug prescription plan,,,,,hard to say,,,a lot of the older folks around here are wondering themselves what they should do. There have been a couple of meetings about it,,,people supposedly *in the know* trying to explain it to everyone. I haven't gone to listen as it doesn't mean anything to me yet. Sure is a hard decision for folks though.

Well, I'm off to get ready for work. Have a good day everyone.

Kelly

Muscoda, WI(Zone 4b)

Good Morning everyone!

Gayle that doesn't like a 'good time' to me. I sure hope that what you experienced yesterday is *not* typical of the procedure and more than that, I hope you *don't* have to go through it again! (I left you a note in the UMW Break room, too) Feel better FAST young lady!

Hi Sarv! Better eating habits today, eh? (Watch out for the lunch menu...it'll take you down in a hurry! :-)) I knew what you meant with 'stoking the fire'. LOL Have been doing for years now! We have one of those "Hasha" type burners where the firebox is outside and pipes filled with hot water circulate into the house. DH fills it twice a day and it's *wonderful*! In the winter the system also heats the hot water...and there's *always* enough hot water to run the DWasher, the clothes washer AND take a shower at the same time! (Talk about your modern luxuries! LOL)

Hi Maria...right about now, Samson should be taking his next 'lesson'. Sure sounds like he's a quick learner!

HI Betty, Casey and Kelly!

Y'all have a good day and I'll be back after I get the laundry started!

~julie~

Chicago, IL(Zone 5b)

I have read about the pres. plan until I am blue in the face. Still don't know nuttin.....I think, as a usual thing, the gov. has messed up something else. Whenever they try to do something fast, it's usually a mess. But for some, it's the only mess going and a crap shoot at that. Fortunately, I kept my private ins, Aetna, and they cover my Rx. so I will be staying with them.

I googled the ins plan and signed up for their automatic updates. I was getting one every day from anything published and was very informative. Of course, it only made me more confused...information overload.

I'm just afraid that after it starts they are going to chanage the whole thing and people are going to have to start all over again.

Hap

Rehoboth, MA(Zone 5a)

just clicked a wrong button and oops it went
I have a hot water furnace but all I do is turn up or down the thermostad, what could be easier then that?
Have not made up my mind about drugs benefits, still have lots of time, most likely will stay with blue cross
have t clean my house, Samson stirs up lots of dust running around like a the crazy dog he is lol

waukesha, WI(Zone 5a)

I don't know how anyone can understand what has been handed out to explain that muddled up prescription plan. Especially elderly people who have trouble even reading their insurance plans! And, if you don't sign up early, it will cost you more if you sign up after the deadline! Some plan, just like all the other great unfunded big buck plans that have been offered. Is this too political ? Don't even get me started.

Not accomplishing much here, gray and rainy skies. Got about half my bulbs in yesterday and waiting for another clear day to do the rest. Otherwise, this will be a day to sit in the fat chair with a book and one to three cats jockeying for the best lap spot. The hierarchy is shifting with Hobbes and Max gone. Souky is trying to entice Mini to play with her and Mini is ignoring her and settles for just following me around begging for attention.

Maria, let us know how the training goes today! Maybe the next lesson should be How Not to Greet Guests!!! DIL is having trouble getting Howard to potty, he seems to have great bladder control and hasn't messed in the house but goes all day without piddling!

MG, hope you are feeling better today after your ordeal, what an unpleasant experience to go through. Let's hope that it has good results, and there's no repeat.

We always touch base with our families after traveling, even if it's just to leave a message on a machine. My folks always insisted that we do that and it became a habit. My kids don't do it and I've given up trying to convince them that it would be a good idea...

Have a good day all, and eat up that rice pudding because it's calling my name.............

So.App.Mtns., United States(Zone 5b)

Maria, take some Lysine for that fever blister. I always keep some on hand and take it when I first feel the "tingle" of an outbreak coming on. Haven't had a bad one since using Lysine. The herpes simplex virus never leaves your system once you get it, and flares up with any fever or infection.

I need to make a decision soon on which drug plan offered in my state looks best for me. That means really that I have to see which plan covers the meds I now take, basically. Since I've been on Medicaid the last few months and my income is low, I will not have to pay for the new drug plan. Plus, if I don't choose a plan, they will automatically enroll me in the Advantage Star Plan (www.rxamerica.com).

No Child Left Behind Act 1 -also stipulates that any high school receiving federal funds must furnish military recruitment officers with the names, addresses, and telephone numbers of its students. (Hope this doesn't violate the "no politics on DG" as I'm just stating what IS, not my opinion on it.)

M5, haven't had rice pudding in ages. Thanks : )

Albany, OR(Zone 8a)

Well, all you guys went to bed so early last nite, hehe.
I baked some choc. chip cookies last nite and of course, they kind of flopped. I wanted to make a double batch so I could give some to my neighbor who had taken in my mail and newspaper while I was gone, have some here for me, and have some for my son who is coming home this weekend (YEAH) for a dental school interview in Portland, OR on Monday the 21st.
They ended up being more runny than I wanted. Wasn't enough flour. Was kind of mad at myself.
Anyways, I fixed a dinner for my other son who is still in hs and has wrestling so was starving when he got home from practice. I had put some of that smoked salmon from Ernie (Eweed), baked potato, apple, yogurt since I didn't have milk yet, and orange juice. He loved it!

You guys talk about those fever blisters. Have had them for 32 years and hate them. But I get them when I get sick or stressed out. I don't use anything on them but maybe should try that Lysine, Darius. Anything is better than nothing.

Well, it froze last nite here. Woke up to the grass very frosty and it was down to 28 degrees on my ther. Am not ready yet. I still need to get those dang bulbs in the ground!

This picture is of a dahlia, 'Watercolor' and note the frost on the leaves nearby. Kind of cool to see it bloom so late. It was planted very late this spring.

Carol (DR), I take lysine every 4 hours when I feel one coming on (tablet to swallow, not a topical application) and I rarely get more than a small red spot, if that. Lysine is an amino acid, cheap to buy, and here's some information:

http://www.berkeleywellness.com/html/ds/dsLysine.php

Albany, OR(Zone 8a)

Oh, really, well, thanks Darius. I can always use something new in the world with these dang blisters. Good link.
Carol (DR)

Well, I decided if I didn't get a bit of work done first before I came in here ... then it wouldn't get done. Y'all have yacked all morning! Took me forever to get caught up. :)
Lets see if I can remember everything I wanted to comment on.
First of all ... MaryE, that certainly was a great price on that turkey you bought. I read that on yesterday's thread.
Darius, thanks for the link you posted. Am giving that to the DH as he gets fever blisters, also. Any time he's under stress, he'll get them.
MG, sure hope your back starts feeling better soon. That procedure sounds similar to something my Mama has for hers. At least I know hers is done in 3 injections a week or so apart. Can't remember the particulars. I do know it helps her, but she's never had the experience you've had.
As far as "stoking the fire" goes. My DH says that when you have a fire place ... the only person who stays warm is the person who totes the wood. :)
Maria, sounds like Samson is really catching on fast. I love hearing how he's progressing.
And to whoever it was that sews ... if I could I'd make my own clothes. My Grandma use to make all mine. She spoiled me. Even today I can't help myself when picking up an article of clothing. I examine the hem, button holes check to see if the plaids or patterns match on the seams ... and of course you know the answer to all these things. Clothes are made really crummy. My poor Grandma would roll over in her grave if she could see this stuff!
Okay, the clock just struck 12:00. I've got to get up from here. Hi to all I missed. Y'all have a wonderful and blessed day.

Well, I have read all your posts. I have been on the pnone this morning, taking care of several kinds of business. We are taking a short trip the end of the month, and had to find a pet sitter for Mr. B. Fortunately, I found one, but he has to have a particular shot to protect him from kennel cough. So it is off to the vet to get that done. Will check in later, and answer the posts. Mr. B loves car rides, but when he sees where he is going, he is going to be mad. I will endure a pouting afternoon when we get home!! Later.

Rehoboth, MA(Zone 5a)

Don't know what I am doing. keep losing you, lol
Dentist prescribed 'Denavir' antopical application , discovered blister this morning, no inkling of it last night, have t put it on ewvery four hpurs also.
Samson had his fence lesson this morning, he really got zapped hard once, it was the spot where he usually this the neighbors kids and where he pulled me over the stone wall and down the hill, must tell you got quite a few black and blue spots lol In about an hour personal trainer will teach him some more, I hope it will be about better behavour, he needs that most of all . I think one of the reason he acts so crazy some times, his former owner roughed housed with him a lot.

Lambertville, NJ(Zone 6a)

lO1- my mother will point out things that are wrong with a piece of clothing to the store clerks. Sometimes it's a little embarassing, but then again why pay top dollar for crap.. She doesn't sew much anymore, but she used to make all my clothes as a child.

MG - Hope your back is feeling better. Doesn't sound very pleasant.

Maria - Let us know how the training went. Loved the last pictures you postes in the pets forum.

I'm gald I don't have to deal with all this insurance stuff for a while. They were discussing it on Good Morning America Yesterday. Sounds way too confusing for my pea brain.

DR - it was so nice seeing your dahlia. Mine have been gone for several weeks. I miss seeing them when I walk out to my care in the morning.

To everyone else - Have a great afternoon, see ya later.

(Zone 8b)

Hi y'all,
I'm back in the land of the living, havibg spent the last few days in bed and feverish. Bonus is I lost about 8 pounds!
I come back to find Julie, yes Julie, mentioning her name twice on purpose, LOL, has been giving every one angst. Not good girl - you make sure you look after yourself first, we can worry for five minutes till the first pill kicks in y'a hear now!!
Sarv sensible eating- and its not new year!! You go for it you will feel tons better.
Thats some boat Ernie -once the holes are patched that is:>)!
Mg that doesn't sound like the best experience in the world, I do hope it works for you.
Samson sounds as though he's getting there Maria, give him a hug from me.
Someone was on about sewing, not sure who, I sew. Iused to make all the childrens clothes and my own, even made DH a suit once but only once lol. Now I make victorian lampshades, they are all hand stitched and tensioned so it takes ages and has frequent pauses so I don't bleed on the silk! This is the one I made for my office.
Any one I've missed, and thats most of you :>)), nothing personal just can't keep up!
(((hugs))) to all GOBs and GOBettes.

Well, I am back from the vet. Mr. B is so happy to go for a ride, was even anxious to go in, but cried when he got the shot. Poor baby!!

Morning Gayle, sorry about your treatment yesterday. DS had to get those awhile ago, he had one bad experience, but did him a whole lot of good. Hope your pain subsides now.

Sarv, out with the girls and eating right, doesn't sound like the 2 go together. When I am out with the girls, I eat something, that I otherwise would not fix at home. And usually that is not eating right.

Okus, sorry that you have been ill. Was it a virus, or flu? Hope thats all behind you now.

Maria I used to have fever blisters all the time. This was several years ago, and my Dr. who is long dead, gave me another small pox vaccination, and it has worked. Ocassionally will get one but not often.

I understood the term stoking up the fire. Was raised with a coal/wood stove.

Ah the medicare prescription plan, sounds really screwed up to me. My DM and DMIL got letters from their insurance carriers that they are already in plans and didn't need to do anything. Whew, took a load off my mind, because I think I was the choice for knowing about it and explaining it.

Well, I am going to vent a bit. DH (today that does not stand for dear|) threw a fit when he found out I had contacted a lady to dog sit, and then even more so when he found out Bruno had to have a shot to protect him from kennel cough and dog flu. He said if I had know that you were going to do all that, and spend all that money, I would stay home and keep Bruno, and you can go on the trip. The lady is charging $10 a day (3 days) and $17 for the shot. You would think that we didn't have a dime to our name. Several years ago, when DH had his Belgium horses, one got sick and he took him to the University of Kentucky where they operated on him to the tune of $4,000.00. Now that is what I call extravagant. These horses were used for pleasure, did not do one contructive thing, except consume huge quantities of feed. My reasoning is that I want my dog taken care of just like if I was here. No kennels, no pens, if I have to do that I will stay at home. DH had proposed to put him in the dog kennel here, and have a neighbor come by and feed him. This lady will have him in her home, and it will be almost like home for Bruno. If anybody other than DH has an idea, it is not a good one. Now had he thought of this, it would have been fine. My son used to dog sit for me, but he has moved about 2 hours away, and with his work schedule, it just wouldn't work out. Some days, I need to be reminded why I thought 40 years ago I needed a man.

Well off my soap box, going to start preparing supper. Have a wild turkey breast in the oven, so dressing and green beans, mashed potatos and yeast rolls, will be our fare.

Will check in later.

Rehoboth, MA(Zone 5a)

Beautiful lamp and the perfect shade to go with it, Carol, quite a piece of sewing you did ;-)) Gave a hug to Samson for you. and one from you too SuzieQ
Have you seen the garden picture my friend, Debbie posted in Welcome? I t is just one of the many gardens she has

Well Maria, I know you weren't talking to me ... but thanks for giving Samson a hug! Let's just say it can be a community hug!
Well, I'm not so bad that I point out the bad sewing to the sales folks. Wouldn't do any good, plus there's no one to complain to these days. Now when you go shopping, you have to practically pull someone by the hair just to get help. I'm totally amazed. Even at the nicest places it seems there is no one to help you. It's a good thing my DH doesn't mind looking at all those fiminin things. Poor fellow had to get over that shy thing early on. With no family around ... he's been helping to pick out my undies, etc for a long time. :)
Maria, sure hope Samson won't have to get zapped too many more times. Poor baby. Guess that's just part of learning, huh? Sure got my share of "zaps" ;)
Carol, sounds like a beautiful lamp shade. Don't know how in the world you did that!
defoecat, glad Mr. B has forgiven you. Oh, and believe me, we all have days of wondering why we decided we needed a DH. I had an entire week-end of it. hehehe

Hi All,

I don't see that MG has posted yet,,,,has anyone heard from her as to how she's doing?

Good morning. 15 degrees here this morning but now the sun is up, sky is clear and we are in for a nice day if the wind doesn't get into the act. Yesterday was so windy I went to town to get all my errands done since I knew I wasn't going to be working outside in it.

Mg and Julie, I hope you are feeling better today.

Today I will be helping my neighbor with his cattle for a while, and then I think we are moving the sheep too. I sure hope it warms up in the next 2 1/2 hours! After that I might get some more yard work done.

Ernie, that's interesting that you build those Alaska ferries. How long is this boat, and do you know what it's name will be? When is it scheduled to be finished? I used to live in SE Alaska and have ridden on a few of them. It's the floating highway system up there since the communities are so isolated. Ketchikan for instance is on an island, the Ketchikan airport is on a different island, other nearby communities are on other islands or mainland where the roads do not connect. So for instance, if you are in Ketchikan and you want to take your car and go to Thorne Bay you take the ferry. From Thorne Bay you can drive to other communities on Prince of Wales Island but nowhere else. If you wanted to take your car and go to Wrangell, Petersburg, Sitka, Juneau or Haines, or Skagway you would take the ferry. The ferries run day and night but not too often. We boarded a ferry about midnight one night to go 6 hours to Prince Rupert, BC, Canada, arriving about daylight, then drove for over 1000 miles to Seattle in 2 days. From the north end of the line you can get on to the Alaska Highway system and drive to places like Anchorage and Fairbanks.

Time to feed the fire, feed myself and the horses, and get on with the day. See you later.

Edited to say that I moved this thread (thanks Julie for showing me how) and now it is somewhat outdated, having been typed originally at about 7 this morning and posted in yesterday's thread.

Good show on the copy & paste, Mary!

Looks like defoecat could be in harm's way. Nasty tornadoes all over western KY, western TN, SW Indiana, southern Illinois. Many, many of our DG family live in those areas.

Thanks for posting that, Darius. I'm ashamed to say that I haven't paid any attention to the news today. :-(

suzieq2761 - the trouble with pointing the things that are wrong out to a store clerk is that most of them don't know the difference and could care even less.

okus - sounds like a h*ll of a way to lose 8 pounds.

Morning Gayle your treatment sounds awful but I hope you get some results.

Seems rather quiet today. We've got some snow in Ottawa and were supposed to have freezing rain this afternoon. Haven't been out since about 11 am. But it's supposed to get quite warm overnight.

More later.

Rats! I figured something was going on... my communications have ALL been frustrating today (but NOT DG!), too many to list, but I cannot get answers by phone, cannot get phone calls returned, etc.

Then I looked at the calendar and Mercury went Retrograde yesterday and will remain so until December 4.

Quoting:
Mercury rules communication, but more informal communications, like writing, speaking, short shopping sprees and other erranding endeavors. So, while Mercury is Retrograde, don't give that party, be extra aware of what you say and what you interpret when chatting with or writing to friends, cut back on errands, expect that the check will be in the mail longer than usual. Since the car is usually used for shopping and errands, don't be surprised if the battery wire loosens or the fan belt snaps just when you have rush out for that one ingredient you forgot to buy.

The good things to do when Mercury is Retrograde: meditate, contemplate, edit the book/poem/song/essay you've been writing, clean house, talk to your pet, listen to music, paint, catch up on sleep!

waukesha, WI(Zone 5a)

Words to the wise, Darius. That's food for thought! This is good weather to just hunker down, and that goes well with the message!

That's a beautiful lamp, Carol, and looks like many hours of work....and many little (uhhh better be careful here, the Adm. police won't like the word I should use).... tiny ....holes...! in your fingers.

I sewed my girl's clothes when they were small, cut up all my full skirts from the early 50s and used them as yard goods. I wasn't going anywhere to wear them and was either pregnant or poor, sometimes both, so they weren't much use to me. I wouldn't have the patience for that now. I agree about how clothing is constructed now, stingy hems, poor button holes, skimpy seams, no darts or gussets for proper fit. I couldn't stand to pay full price for most of it, and get almost everything I buy on sale.

That chili sounded so good I made a pot of it for dinner! Maybe I'll make some corn bread to go with it. Still haven't discussed TG plans with kids, I wouldn't mind just being home and doing a little turkey .uhhhh....bosum!...... in the oven, and letting DH watch football all day. Of course if anybody wants to invite us over, we'd be more than happy to take a drive. I just shudder at the thought of being chief cook and bottle washer for the whole tribe.

MG hope you are feeling better, and reading if not posting. Maria, how did training go today? Howard finally pottied and DIL was estatic! Told her I never knew anyone could get so excited about poo.

My internist scheduled me for a colonoscopy on the 30th. Oh yuck!!! A necessary evil I suppose. Yuck yuck yuck.

Man, news is on and the weather coming is supposed to be awful!! We are getting each other a generator for xmas - (then I can go our and get myself some goodies LOL)

Went out to lunch at Logans (yummy - did good too) and then onto see Prime - don't waste your money - it was crummy - full of se* and not much of a story line at all. The four of us were the only ones in the whole theatre, so we yucked it up big time!!

Maria - we have heat like yours (hot water), but also in our lower level (where we live) we have a free standing woodstove. It is messy, but I love the heat!!

Defo - I hear ya about the pet. My DH refuses to spend a penny on our cat - I just ignore him (I handle the $$ anyhow) I figure he can down a 12 pack of brew, and wee wee it out, I can spend on my pleasures too. This does cause some disagreements here - but just part of the ups and downs of marriage. I often wonder why I stay married (then the car falls apart and I remember why LOL)

I made a crock of stew and DH has been complaining about it - he can cook tomorrow. He thought there wasn't enough meat in it - he likes a little potato with his meat - I am just the opposite.

Never had a cold sore - I'll pass on that one!! But I do have these HUGE blobs of stuff on the trunk of my body - the doc says they are just old lady stuff- I hate the looks of them.

Well, time to eat din din - don't forget chat tonight!! See ya

Hey for those north east of me, It's SNOWING here. I sent dh to the store with a list a while ago, so we'll see what he comes home with. The thought of going grocery shopping just makes me want to curl back up on the couch, and that's where I have been all day.

I did call the Pain Clinic, and the leak I had was very unusual, not spinal fluid, but the mixture they injected me with. I have to go back on Friday so they can see if I have had any improvement or relief. The doctor is worried the mix may not have entered into the dura space at all. the MRI I had last week did show I have a band of scar tissue and some adhesions there, so the next injections will be several vertebrae higher. So far the pain is the same as last week, but the stiffness isn't quite as bad. But that could also be because I'm basically not moving any more than I absolutely have to.

I hope to see you all in chat, that is the hightlite of me week, so I make every effort to be there, lol.

Well, "Doubting Thomasina" (LOL) I know many people think astrology is bunk. But just ask ANYONE who works in an emergency room, or a cop, what happens on a full moon? They all say the crazies are all amok, and statistics prove accident rates, murders, etc. are way up on a full moon from the changes in magnetic pull.

As for me, it is at least a plausible thought for all my frustration today about phone communications!

Darius,

I've always thought that since the moon can influence the ocean's movements and we are 98% water, it just makes sense that we would be influenced as well. I haven't gotten into all of the retrograde stuff yet, but I am interested. I have looked at the "Gardening by the Moon" website, and I have a calendar on my wish list.

MG, I hope they will help you to correct the problem you have, it just does not seem fair not to get the expected results, hope you will
soon.
Guess doubt and distrust have been part of me as long as I can remember, Darius, perhaps have been disappointed too often, or it could be because my father once said to me, don't trust anybody or anything ever. And so it goes.
M5, have not had a thanksgiving dinner for years, my daughters took over before that my MIL always had it, after she passed away I did it for a few years, not many, don't particularely care for that holiday, too much food, too much work, etc. all in one day! I still can hear my MIL complaing about men folk go to a football game come home and stuff them selves silly and fall asleep for the rest of the day while she has to do all the work, lol
