Coffee and...Part 48...! :-D

So.App.Mtns., United States(Zone 5b)

Ouch, Ernie, so sorry but hope it's fixable.

Grrrrrrr.. This is now twice that I have let Bazha (my old cat) out after dinner recently and BOTH TIMES I have had to go out with a flashlight after 9 pm and show her the way down Mark's (landlord) patio in the dark. I wonder if she's losing some senses? It was 45º and time to come in, and she wouldn't when I called. (She usually does, just like a dog.)

Oh Ernie she is such a doll and I love the way she sits on her butt. My Cleo did that too. Would make me burst out with laughter over it. I hope what ever she got into is all that is wrong and after he gets it out she is back to normal.

Ernie, hope Doc. will fix that sweet Jenny

Maria,
It takes me about 6 hrs drive up to Bellingham. The length isn't bad, it is just the cities I have to drive thru and that takes the time. I have to plan the trip just right to get thru them during rush hour, lunch, etc. My parents offered to fly me up there this next time but it will be expensive at the last min. plus I won't have the flexibility of coming home when I need to.
That dinner, Mary, sounds very good.

First, welcome, suzie. Always glad to have another member here. We occasionally moan and groan about situations, DH, kids, etc. At least we don't get in trouble with the offenders, because we have blown off steam here. I loved your comment about grandkids go home. I have one GD, she is 9 and a really lovely kid. I look forward to her coming, but also glad when she goes home. She has stayed with me for the last 2 summers, and by the time school starts, I am worn out!!

Meezer, sounds like you had good intentions for the day today, but then it turned into a "but first day". Meezer I stopped buying books, just go to the library once a week. So much cheaper, as I don't reread any book. I laughed when you were describing the kids with the baggy pants, you are so right, they wouldn't get far, until they were caught. Besides, it looks like pants around your hips would be uncomfortable. Now if they were told that they had to dress like that, there would be mutiny!!

Darius, we do indeed deserve the "gas bag award". Can you make arrangements on your trip to Florida, to check in with this forum. All of are concerned with you traveling by yourself. Humor this bunch, and try! When my cat goes out late in the afternoon, or early evening, I just leave her out at night. She is really glad to see the lights go on in the morning, and is very appreciative of food. I don't guess she is a good mouser.

Carat, I loved the twin story, as I myself am a twin. Twins share so much more that other siblings. We were the last, 1 brother and 1 sister older, and they are jealous, so we spent our childhood, trying to survive their pranks and tricks, and trying to get us in trouble. My mother had their number, so when something happened, she always questioned them first. I laughed when you said you had DH sitting outside in a lawn chair, I understand your rationalle, last year I took DGD trick or treating, and we walked up to this house and there was a sheet covered ghost? sitting outside, and I commented how real it looked, then the figure said BOOOOOOO, and I just about lost it. Scared the bejebers out of me. We are rural and have had no trick or treaters tonight. I loved your comment about some species eating their young!! LOL

Maria, my chiropractor has really helped my arm, and my back. So maybe since you are on the mend medically, go on and get the joints adjusted, you just may feel so good, that you will want to do everything in sight. I meant to address you to say I was glad you were feeling better, but when I went back and looked, I had addressed it to Mary.

Molly glad to see that you are able to post some. Be assured that anyone here does not construe your comments as moaning, and if some do, YOU HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO DO SO!! Maybe the neighbors are leaving the porch light on so that you will have a little illumination in your life, and not just taunting you,.

Ernie, I couldn't tell from the photos, what kind of dogs are they? I just hate it when one of my pets is sick. If they could just tell you what was wrong, so you could help fix it. I will keep Jenny in my thought and prayers.

DR, so glad to hear that your dad is doing better. Give him a hug from all of the GOB's when you see him again. Please try to check in when you go to WA again.

Mary, I know that you are relieved that the horses are getting along. Several years ago, one of our horses took a dislike to another that we had, but had never been put out to pasture together. Since they were shod, a well placed kick, split the flank, and when the vet came, stitched him up, but their flesh is so soft, had to have the stitching redone 2 times before it started to heal. Then the ugly scar, makes you wonder what other people think you have done to this horse.

After cleaning the kitchen, had 3hours of paperwork to do. Balancing check books, writing checks for bills, some trades to fulfill, so I have had a busy night. They are predicting rain beginning after midnight, but if that doesn't happen, still have lots to do outside tomorrow. If not, have plenty to do inside here.

Well, I am going to go to bed. Have been taking the Tylenol Simply Sleep for the last couple of nights, and am sleeping like a log. Still waking early, but restful sleep. Sarv, how is your arm doing? Haven't heard you say too much about it. If you are still suffering, try this stuff, it is working so far.

Night all.

Julie, you posted while I was typing, go rest, and hope you feel better tomorrow.

south of Grand Rapid, MI(Zone 5a)

Fell asleep at 6:30 pm - did I tell ya how much I hate this daylight savings time!! It is dark before 5pm...Now it is 11pm and I am wide awake!! Crawled out of bed to the sound of that stinkin wrestling again - I"m trying to ignore it...

Julie- hope the crud passes quickly- is it a cold or the stomach yuckies?

Molly- glad to see you are still kicking. A cold shower?? Man, couldn't you sneak across the street for a hot one? What kind of neighbors do you have?? They should share. I still have some postage to get to you - I haven't forgotten!! Just procrastinating!

Welcome to Susie!! Join in - this group is cheaper than going to a shrink - and we solve many of the world's problems here too!!

Ernie- aww hope the pup is better soon - and they can't even tell ya what the problem is.

No trick or treaters here tonight, (but I forgot to turn on the porch light!!) Do you think it was a subconscious thing so I could eat the five bags of candy myself? LOL We're out in the sticks too and the neighbors are oldsters like us or two families of transient renters. Most go into town where there are tons of houses to get loot from. DIL called and said they ran out of candy and had to make a run to the store. She was giving out those little tubs of fruit and applesauce until DS got back with more goodies.

Stopped at Little Caesars for a pizza tonight (those 5 dollar ones that you pick up) There was a line out the door- seems like everyone had the same idea. I had to wait 40 min for one!! It was funny watching all the people come in, gasp at the time they had to wait, then join the crowd waiting. People were ordering 6 and 8 of them at a time- must be partying!!!

I'm sitting here with a heating pad on the bad arm - it is really acting up tonight. I slathered on some blue emu oil to see it that would help - this is getting mighty old I tell ya.

Still didn't have that cream puff (I wanted DH to serve me and he had other ideas!)

Ottawa, ON(Zone 5a)

welcome suzieq2761

this is a chatty bunch. Good luck in keeping up. Glad Casey sorted you out on the DH, etc. lingo. I hadn't thought of the less comlimentary term, but it DOES apply at times doesn't it?

Casey, the story about the twin grandaughters is priceless. My grandtwins aren't quite that old, but I look forward to many happy times with them.

eweed, I hope all will be OK with your dog. It's tough when they aren't feeling well.

I know that I've missed some replied, but it's been a busy day, I was way behind reading.

Good night all,
Ann

Vegas,NV Filbert, SC(Zone 7b)

Oh Maria, I wanted to tell you. When I was taking the Ambien I would have memory problems. DH and the kids would tell me we had whole conversations that I didn't even remember, or I would sit and watch a whole movie and then watch it again with nothing looking familiar to me. I thought I was loosing my mind for a few weeks there until my doctor told me it was normal after I mentioned something to him..

Just didn't want you feeling like you were going batty like I did.
LOL

Ernie, I am a Golden Retriever person too - They are lovely "people" but they do eat anything and everything they can get their teeth round. I do hope little Jenny is OK, she looks a real poppet.
Molly, good to hear you are dtill with us - I bet you are yearning to get to your own place now. Even more so as you can't be camping there much worse than you are camping where you are now.
Carol, the other one, glad your Dad is on the mend. He sounds to have a great spirit, and will power does wonders.
Mary Congratuations, and Celebrations - well done. Now how do you fill the winter?
Darius sore feet are the pits, DGS stood on mine and my big toe is angry and red, so I'm hobbling too. Just make sure you keep bathing that cut. Its a bit chilly to leave it open to the air, but if you get a chance do so, foot wounds get damp and soggy if you keep your foot covered up. You take care on that drive, we need you back here with us gasbags!!
Maria you are sounding so much better! If small dogs are out, try a Standard Poodle - big dogs lovely personality and don't shed, though they do need regular clipping to keep them tidy.
Julie you take care too, hot Rum and Lemon works wonders. Well after two you don't care anyway!! - There is a lot of this cold stuff about, both the grand babies have been rough so I expect we shall all follow. They pick it up at their pre-school bring it home and give it to Grannie and Grandad - aren't they generous!!
Welcome to our new faces - and to all the old ones I've missed out - Y'alls take care now.
Carol

Ernie, glad the Vet found what the problem is. Fingers crossed that he can get it out without any trouble. Poor little kid, but they will eat anything.

Hi, Gobs... just time for a quick nitey-nite.

My sister remains an enigma, and I will deal with it as best I can. Talked to her 2 hours tonight and I swear she lives somewhere else, LOL. But I have to trust her with my plants, at least for a little while. No other choice as Molly cannot move yet.

Night, Gracie.

Vegas,NV Filbert, SC(Zone 7b)

Darius, will the fact that I will have custody of the property on the 2nd help you out any with the plant situation? I am not sure if the weather would be any better or the conditions but it is there if you need it. I would offer my friends help but I am not sure if that would be in the best interest of the plants. She watered a fake plant in my house for 2 weeks when we took the kids to California and has killed every plant I have given her. But to her credit the trees on the property that I helped her plant last spring are still alive.

Good Morning Gobs and Gobettes!

Can I really be the first one up and posting?

I hope everyone has a wonderful day, and I have pecan sweet rolls on the counter. They are really gooey and yummy!

Mary, Congrats on winning, You certainly earned it.

I can't possibly answer all of you so please forgive me, and a good morning to all!
Could not go to sleep last night worrying about Jenny I know how hard it is on Ernie thinking he may lose another one of his four legged kids.

Yes, Casey, I know what you mean about memory loss, the last few days I had a 'word' memory loss, was begiining to think Altzheimer struck me down. Had to talk to different people while ordering a generator, do you think that word entered my brain? NO I finally had to say,, youi know the thing that makes electricity, LOL LOL felt like a darn fool, the same thing was with 'propane' gas. Sheesh, am I ever embarrassed. That Ambien really knock me flat in about one minute, and dr. said if it doesnot work take another one, holy smoke, I'd never make it to the bed.

Julie, I hope you feel better this morning, let us know.
Wish I had one one of those golden retrievers, some one I know has an 11 month to give away because they are leaving the country but never had a dog that old, always a puppy. I am sooo tempted,
Defoe, going to the chiro today or tomorrow, need to have gone a long time ago but being sick it made it impossilble.
Sarv, where are you? Beat you do it this morning!

Wake up everyone - sun is shining!! I've already had two pieces of pizza for breakfast!! Love pizza anyway =anywhere- anyhow...

Going to the workout place this morning (skipped yesterday....) then I have to really get my dear-rear going in the garden. Dahlias still need to be packed away and two lonely cannas need to be put to rest. I still have about 20 brugs to take care of.

I was just to the horn canna sight, thinking about placing an order. I ordered cannas last year and forgot to get them in the ground - ordered 16 and only 2 made it- gosh I was ticked at myself over that one!!

Kohl's has a major 50% off sale today and tomorrow and I have an additional 15% coupon - I don't need a thing, but how can you pass on bargains like that!!! Someone please tell me NOT to go....

DIL and I are going to a scrapbooking gathering this weekend. I am really NOT into that stuff, but will go with her. I received the booklet in the mail and it is just like tupperware - man is that stuff pricey!! I may just go and watch others - I don't need another thing to do and I would not complete it anyhow- I know my limitations... LOL

Arm is hurting the worse it has been in weeks- popped an aleve...hope it kicks in soon...ouch, I hate pain....

Well, since all you sleepy heads are still in the sack - I'm going to sign off and wash the locks. Have a great one!! sue

south of Grand Rapid, MI(Zone 5a)

Maria- get the 11 month old dog!! Avoid the puppy training stuff- this one is made for you. I was here earlier, but decided to visit other forums (2 hrs there - shame on me)

Hi everyone...not much "on the ball" this morning. I just hate it when I get those 'spinning head/queazy stomach/bleery eye' symptoms of a nasty cold. Thanks for the get well's...I'm here but barely. Just pent the last hour and a half over in the Upper Midwest Forum and ALL of it was in trying to reply to one thread. And can you believe it was just a *short* answer? lol

Oh wow! I wonder where the rest of my post went...it was there when I sent send. Oh well....maybe it was just in my head.

Just noticed, today is 11-1, where did Oct. go?

Talking about training Puppies., we just gota newcollie, she ws adorable a ball of fluff, had newspaper all over the kitchen floor and one evening who walked in but my daughter with a new boy friend, he drove her home from college in NY City, her english prof. no less, the dog jumped all over them and they did not know where to step lol I was embarrassed no end. He looked so tired and asked t what I can get for them. Cynthia said give him some OJ, he is diabetic, do my astonishment he left soon after said driving three hours back to NY,
This is how I met my son-in-law who is the grandest guy tou'd ever hope to meet. His mother told me later when he first met my daughter he told her I met the woman I am going to marry.

Oh, Daisy, do not think I'd ever make a long drive like that for one thing hate to drive,. One year we where on our way to Florida, got up about 3 AM, when my husband said, you drive, for one minute I thought he lost his mind then said it is about time you learn how to drive longer then 10 miles, I could have smacked him but he noncholantly went to sleep in the car. I drove for 3 hours, mad as can be driving through the tol stations like a maniac all the quarters went flying all over the car, decided to pull over, waking him up and said, you drive now or you can sit here till dooms day, He had no choice did he?LOL
