My Beans have this on them what is it?

There were inside for 2 days in the dark because of Wilma but they looked ok when i put them back out side. My cucumbers look like this too. The leaves feel brittle. Any ideas?

hi mesza - I'm no expert, but could this be cucumber mosaic virus? I hope not, you would need to destroy crop. :-(

I thought with CMV the leaves & vines just wilted & died back.... at least that's what my cukes did! Anyway, with the way the leaves look brown & crisped in places rather than all over, I'm wondering if you have a pest that's doing sucking damage to them. Check closely to see if there are spider mites or aphids on the underside of your leaves. A spray of insecticidal soap or something similarly mild should take care of such if they're present. It seems to me that the stress of moving plants in & out seems to make them succeptable to pests like that... but my experience is pretty limited, LOL!
