Craig's Thong?

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

OMG! I assume you want me to hang a giant sandal right?????

How about:

Smiling Sisters Plant Ranch?

I had to run in to type this. LOL I am in the middle of destroying my front yard but that one hit me and I will forget it in ten minutes.

Back to work!

Merrimac, WI(Zone 4b)

The "thong" makes me think of something that happened in church...during a sermon the pastor was saying, "I'm not good enough to wipe the dust from Jesus'...thong." (you could see she was struggling for the word) You could hear all the kids heads snap to attention and my grandniece (then eight) looked at me with the biggest eyes and astonished look on her face! I quietly whispered, "She means sandal."

Okay, I've been smiling through this entire thing, and if I had a vote ... I really like Garden of Weedin. But, how about Badseed's Beautiful Borders or Badseed's Beautiful Boundries (for the trees on 3 sides)?

I really kind of like the idea of Seven Angels Nursery ~ 7 being the magical number since you can't get any better than 7th Heaven, can ya?

(Of course, now I can't get that tune out of my head..."there were seven spanish angels...at the alter of the sun...")

What patron Saints were you thinking of?

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

These were on the list of Patron Saints of Gardeners:

Adam
Adelard (or Adalhard)
Dorothy
Fiacre
Gertrude of Nivelles
Phocas
Tryphon (I like the way this one sounds)

Descriptions here: http://www.domestic-church.com/CONTENT.DCC/19980901/STEWARDSHIP/GARDEN.HTM

Schroon Lake, NY(Zone 4a)

How Cool, I didn't know that St. Dorothy was a patron saint of gardeners....NOW watch me go!!
"Meyers' Meadows" nursery popped into my head last night...are you happy to know that your farm name is paralyzing thousands of minds across the nation? What a hoot!!
Dorothy

Garden of Weedin, that is too cute!

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

I have a wooden sign in my garden with the Garden of Weedin' slogan. It always gets a chuckle from people.

Tryphon has a nice ring to it, but it may be hard for people to remember (and therefore look up in the phone book). You will also have to tell people how to pronounce it, oh, about 50 times a day. LOL

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

I have liked the name Fiacre for a while too but I am seriously scared the kids would say that in a horribly bad way. :O

Alexandria, IN(Zone 6a)

As mentioned above...Green Thumb

Follow the KISS principle when naming your business - it needs to be easy to pronounce (especially by kids, LOL!) and remember. ;)

"Cheaper by the Dozen"

"Bakers Dozen" just shoot for 13.

Cincinnati, OH(Zone 6b)

Jokes aside.
Where do you shop for plants here?
Wolfangle's, Benkin's, Acholtz's, Delhi
Groceries?
Kroger's, Miejer's, Bigs
Beer's?
The Gardens, Lisa's

It's going to end up a one word name to the people who go there.

So just call it Meyer's or Michelle's Plants.

Ric
