Any thread on blu isn't complete without blu cheese! Found one this year that we really enjoyed.

We have some and I missed it! Great Blu in the morning.

speaking of broadband - has anyone else tried vonage for their phone service provider - i'm still testing it (haven't kicked out the "local" co. yet )
but it looks like a money saver soo far. (something not to be blu about).

Like DSL, it is not available here. We have investigated Wildblue Sat. internet. but they don't seem to want new customers. Blu, hoo.

We are switching to comcast broadband telephone next week. Hopefully it will work out ok. We are keeping our old phone number so Verizon is out the window. We lose telephone service all the time because the telephone lines are so old, and comcast just ran all new lines so hopefully we will be pleased

Just remember - that the old telephone has power with the phone line. If the power goes out,
I have my phone still. (My cell phone is for work and reception is lousy at home). So... will not
be going to VOIP/Vonage type service.

My cell does not recieve at home either - I have to drive to the top of the hill, but the power is seldom out and considering that my last two months home
phone bills averaged 90.00 I thought I would try the vonage - so far the sound quality has been good.

I glad to see others as crazy as myself........

On Comcast:.....We have Comcast Cable/Broad band for the cpu and telephone. It was great until Hurricane Wilma.....Then we lost our phone AND DG.......I almost had a hissy fit. Nothing for almost 2 weeks. (TV is on satellite which we never lost....go figure..)

So friends, think about what you want to bundle and lose all at one time. hehehe
