Here is a picture of mine. DH and friend built it for me last year while on christmas break.
Edited to say it's 12x12 and it cost right at $400.00 dollars to build

Would like to see Pics of your greenhouse, : )
Great greenhouses. Really enjoyed seeing all the different kinds and plans of gh.
Here are a few of my small gh. It is a lean-to type built on to NE corner of garage 10 years ago. I heat with electric heater, don't use it in the summer. In the darkest corner I have a hanging HID light, can't take a photo of plants under the light as it causes the plants to be very yellow.
There is something wrong with my camera, I think the shutter doesn't open completely. It is still under warranty so will send it away to be replaced/fixed whatever, this week.
#1 is of east end of gh.

It's been so cool - and inspiring - seeing everyone's greenhouses! Thanks for starting this thread, vwetzel! Karen
Very nice greenhouses ya'll. it is so neet to see how others are growing things in there greenhouse and how they are made. I get some cool ideas from the pics.
Everyones GHs look just great.
Thanks for all the posts and please keep them comming.

My wife always wanted a little GH to start her veggies in so one afternoon I built this one. I built a metal frame for the base took stock panels and hooped them over ziptyed them together built the ends out of scrap 2x4s lined the base with 2x4s and sheeted with 5mil plastic with vents at the top both ends. Heated with a space heater. Last year when it was 30 deg outside it was 65 to 70 deg inside. Works very well.

Looks like it will soon be in working order, It takes time when you physical ailments. But rest assured you will have plants popping up in no time. Great progress.
Carrjohn
Thats a very cool GH and I bet the DW was so happy to have a such a nice GH to get her hands dirty in.
Vicki
carrjohn I really like that stock panel idea.
Spreads the load.
We had snow load issues on our hoop house last winter.
(16" in less than 24 hours about did us in)
Lavenderwolf...nice work!
What are you using for the glass areas?
Vicki I love the use of recycled materials!
And a bathroom!
How chic!
We've got everything caulked now.
The temps are holding in the low 60's at night (40's outside)
This w/ just a small oil radiator heater set on low.
Westill have to get the second layer of glass up.
We bought beadboard ply to finish off the inside and cedar shakes for the outside.
Funny that was our biggest expense. Makin' it purdy! lol
Ric
Thanks guys. The Glass areas are storm windows. 3 walls and the roof will be glass.
It is great to see all of your innovative ideas making interesting ghs. I'm sure you will all love them this winter. We in the more northern areas are of course more concerned with heating this time of year, As i mentioned earlier I use electic heat, works well for me.
However right now I have a problem with the whatever it's called automatic shutoff for the electricity if something gets too wet. Had the mister going for a few hours a couple of days ago and I guess some plug-in or something, (haven't figured out what yet) got too much moisture so everything electric doesn't work until dried out. Left the door open yesterday. Haven't gone out yet this morning to try the reset button to see if will work. I know it is a safety thing but is aggravating.

That's a COOL GH!
Lovely!
Ric
That's huge, Brian! Where are the windows??
:) Donna
That is one SERIOUS skylight!
Brian, what a great personal gh. Do you sell of just for your own pleasure. You can't keep all those canna bulb/roots at 55 degrees over winter can you. What is your zone. I see lots of tropicals.

Here is my work in progress :). I'm about 3/4 through the framing and it will be covered with 8mm twall polycarbonate. I'm trying to incorporate a vented peak the entire length, similar to plans I found here at DG. So it's kind of a split roof. I'll post more as it progresses, hoping to finish over the next two weekends. It's 12'x16' for now, but have enough extra polycarbonate to lenghten another 8' if the size starts to get too small.

Look like the greenhouse is coming along, Dave. How are you going to heat it and from what time of the year? Great job on your site! What program did you use to do it or did you all the coding yourself?
:) Donna
Hi Donna,
I'm only planning to use it for extending the season for now, maybe March to December. I'm going to build a transom style auto opening peak, not quite sure exactly how to do it yet, but will work it out. So it will be sealed in the colder months, no idea about what I'll need for heat. I'm going to put a temp/humidity sensor in there which will send wireless to my weather station so I can see what happens over the winter...lol. I could get real geeky and have the weather station download all the info to my PC then I'll be able to profile the seasons. Then again, my GF already thinks I'm nuts..lol.
I used MS Frontpage to make the site. It does a good job once you figure it out :). I messed up a bunch of the page though when I was posting the greenhouse pics :(. Just finished fixing them..I think..

Dave, be sure to send more pictures, especially the inside after you move plants in. My little 10 x 14 gh is already getting crowded. I put 3 brugs that are blooming or budded and several tender per. in large pots that i want to keep over winter.
