Didn't know how spoiled we are!

AMEN!

Efland, NC(Zone 7a)

EvaMae (leaflady), I agree, God Bless! Thanks!

Nap, I've never said, "a Hearty Welcome to DG!" Guess we just crossed paths! WELCOME! (And yes, this is the place to be!)

rcn....if you don't mind, I'll save your pic/info above and see how it prints out. I was hoping it would be 8 x 11 size but if it's only a bit smaller that'll work, too. Thanks!

Shoe.

I'm with rcn48 in terms of praise for the way this site is put together and the only negative thing being the amount of time that I spend on it (when I probably should be out weeding, etc.). I'm constantly impressed by how well everything works.

I spend much more time in Dave's Garden than I should, and I love it. Thank you Dave. Dotti

Thank you, Shoe. Thanks to you and a lot of other people, I don't even feel "new" here anymore!

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

I like your name too nap! I wish mine were that short!! :)

Buffalo, NY(Zone 6a)

Yeah, it's nice and easy. It's one of my favorite things to do too, but I don't get to grab one very often. Gotta work. (It's also my initials.)

Taylor Creek, FL(Zone 10a)

Nicole, I wish yours were shorter too.
I too love this site and many of the folks I've met here are like neighbors, yet they dont borrow sugar....well maybe.

If I would have known the significance of my screen name when I joined DG it would have been shorter for sure!!

Wonder if I can get it changed to just Nicole? That would be COOL!

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

Sorry - "Nicole" was taken on 8/24/2001 by someone else ;o)

You can use the memberlist to see if there are combinations of your first name/last initial (and vice versa) that are not in use. For example, if your last name is smith, try looking for:

NicoleS or Nicole_S
NSmith or N_Smith

Once you find a name, send us a note to the "Contact Us" link and Dave will make a one-time username change. (But be sure it's a name you REALLY like, because it'll be yours for life ;o)

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Thanks woman!! I'm not sure if I will change it or not... I am kinda used to it now! Plain ole' Nicole would be great (notice that person's not using theirs - hint hint ;-) but it's no biggy!!

Thanks for the info!! - Any luck on getting our real names put under our usernames?

Dave, thought you'd get a chuckle out of this - Last weekend at our show we had your poster displayed and customers kept asking if they made the check payable to Dave's Garden! Guess I need to change the format so not to confuse our customers :)

Dear Dave, and Terry and Trish and even [when he's just a little older] Paul,

This place is great. I mean it. I have way too much time on my hands, but I've graduated from virtual shopping at $$$$ stores to actual thinking about actual gardens, mine and other people's. I wish I could explain the difference better. It's as if preDG, I lived in a fantasy world, "if only I could stand up this dress/pants/diamond ring would look so good on me". Now it's "how can I convince DH to mulch those new plants before he starts raising the next bed (for me) on the other side of the house." It's not quite that either. I don't know exactly what it is, but Dave, don't go anywhere.
Carrie

I'm not going anywhere. :-)

I'm glad to have finally had the gumption to sign up. I'd known that the site existed, but never took the time to check it out. As soon as I did that, I jumped in and joined. I spend much more time scrolling around than I should, but I've learned SO much from all the friendly people. Best of all, nothing inappropriate is ever going to be posted here.
