I am off the mow the lawn. I am sick of it though, infact my whole garden has made me weary. By this time of year I am ready for a hard frost. I know that just means a whole set of other chores. But at least I could see an end for this season. I love the garden but my enthusiasm is waning. Come January I will be poring over all the seed catalogs. But for now I gotta mow the lawn. Any volunteers? LOL
Mowing the lawn
No, not I! But try it a little differently...it seems to go a little faster if you start in one corner and mow to the right in a circle. You don't have to stop and turn the machine, there are almost no wheel tracks on the grass, and you can finish off the corners quickly.
I have a huge piece to mow and around so many different beds and things. I am my own worst enemy. Out here on the farm the lawn just gets bigger. I do use a riding lawn mower too but the piece right around the house/garden takes me an hour and a half and I push a mower for that. Good exercise.
Ah, now I comprehend the situation. You are wise to consider the exercise element. After all, some folks pay fees to health clubs, but your workouts are free, and in the fresh air, too.
Very true, but you can understand my weariness. I look forward to winter when I should belong to a health club. We get more rain than we usually like but that is what makes this part of Oregon so green.
I had relatives years ago in San Antonio, but no one left there anymore.
