Problem with Chat room

I join in and it all blank to me I don't see anyone there just only blank chat room

Rusty, I suspect there is a problem, a few others can't get in either.

I can't get in either... cleared my history, "delete files", "delete objects", "settings" -> "view files" -> ctrl+a -> delete.... STILL can't get in, ran my spyware checker, nada...

Can't seem to get it runnin'... IE says "applet chatclient started" but can't see any chat, no red "logged in" message, no list of who's on, not even the usual "channels" confusion will come up.

Dave, please help! :(

If you get it runnin' by next week, I guess we'll forgive you ;)

Molly, a few others? Is it working for some people? My whole computer shut down a bit ago and I didn't know if chat caused that or my problem affected chat. It seems to be all that is not working now. I always have a java problem now.

It's cruel and unusual punishment, I tell ya. I was outside digging plants for 8 hours today. I wanna sit and talk. Waaaaah haaaaaah!

BS- I was so excited to tell you about my parenting injury today... I have the prettiest fat lip on the block! And Stella has a matching goose egg on her noggin! :) lol Guess it'll have to wait till next week!

ROTFLOL Hmmm, sounds like one of those jump up really quick, when sitting on Mommy's lap deals. I have had my fair shair of biting my tongue, nearly breaking my nose and busted lips! My baby actually thinks it is fun to headbutt you. Lovely.

ooh, BS, I thought of one more thing to tell you... yesterday I sent her in from the patio with 2 ripe tomatoes from my plant. But when we got inside, she only produced one... I begged her to remember where the other one went for like 2 hours... nothin'. I still haven't found it, I am PRAYING she ate it, but I fear it is shoved in some crevice and the clock is ticking... even worse, I'm going to a plant show & sale this weekend... I'm in as a judge's clerk, I HAVE to go... I can't hang out and look for the darn thing. If this costs me a couch or something, I will have to strangle her! lol :)

Folks, I'm very sorry that the chat wasn't working tonight - it was my fault. I wasn't at my computer so I didn't see that it wasn't working.

We moved DG to a new server yesterday and I forgot to move the chat server over, too.

I'll open it tomorrow for a special session, to compensate for today's loss. :)

Well it took forever to load, then there was the typing delay: type a message and wait 5 to see what you typed! Or send anyway then see your mistakes in public!!

Did you do something different since this morning? I noticed the link was still on and clicked it and I am back to my java woes. Hmph!

I logged in for a couple of minutes just now, and it loaded fine. Didn't try earlier, though.

I haven't changed a thing, alas. :( Java is a REAL picky thing.

Right now Jorge and I are working on re-writing the chat in Flash (which is kind of like Java). Flash is a lot more reliable.

Chat is just a red x on my monitor. I never know if it's me or the isp or dg - good to see it's not just me.

If you have NT or XP or whatever my husband puts on here (LOL), and you have to download a java, is there any recommendation for one that works well? Mine really ticks me off! I did get back in but got booted three times. :)

What a surprise to see chat up today. :^))) But when I clicked on chat, it took me there and had a red X. So nothing :^(((

I have Java already up and running. And last night I put in the Firefox and am using that now.

Okay, so I opened IE just now and chat is working. So what's the problem? Do I need to do anything to chat on Firefox now?

i was able to chat for awhile this morning, but just now i entered again, someone said "hello" and the screen just stopped scrolling.

Cool, Dave! My geeky brothers have written a flash-based chat. So, does that mean you could make a .swf/exe(with the flash player built in) client for it? That'd be kinda cool...
