Emma, I love your Momokanurmi and Fujimusume They are just more of your beautiful morning glories. My vines are all drying up from the heat.

Wow, I haven't check these threads for awhile and I've missed some beauties. How large is the pure white one above EmmaGrace? It's a lovely shape. Mine are all blooming away. The tye dye looking ones are getting much more white on them now. Here's a couple from yesterday.

Here's another. I am starting to get some seed pods on some of mine. How long do you leave them on before picking them? Should they be very dry and brown looking?

Sylvia,
Thanks - Aren't they great. Hope I get some seeds from them.
My first vines are just about all gone too. Sooooo glad I decided to plant more.
Still having some great blooms as a result.

Susan,
Your Tie Dye-Like Blooms are beauties.
Yes, your seeds pods need to be nice and brown before you collect them.

Janis,
Wonder what color you 'Pinks' started out with?
Hope you have a bloom tomorrow to show us.

Sandy,
Your Chocolates are INCREDIBLE....
I don't remember seeing such beautiful blooms with such a wide picotee edge with leaves not variegated.
Such healthy leaves too.
Interesting leaves at that. Do the heart-shaped leaves go with this bloom also?

Susan and Antoinette,
My Solid White 'Kikyouzaki' or 'Kikkouzaki'
http://davesgarden.com/forums/fp.php?pid=1752588
Wonder what the heck the difference is between these two names.
I still haven't figured out from my notes which these are.
Reason is the packet From Japan didn't have the name on it in English,
so I was going to see if I could find the same seed packet on any of the Japanese links.
I do have both seed packets as well of 'Kikyouzaki' AND 'Kikkouzaki',
and the packet these came out of are different.

I didn't measure the bloom, but will do so next bloom.
I'd guess maybe 1" - but not sure from the tips to tips.
I love it. Isn't it lovely.

This bloomed first time today also, but bloom was smaller than the White one.
This one IS from 'Kukkouzaki' Mix.

Emma - the pink purp from France...looks like your on your way to a new ' Joys Cabal' there...did you decide that "Toukan" wasn't the right name and go back to the 'momo kanmuri'(?!)...
I like this one
http://davesgarden.com/forums/fp.php?pid=1752611

Which part is the 'purple' and which part is the 'plum'(?)...The two seemingly different Japanese terms for the 'bell flower' types seem to be either misprints or apparently both mean 'bellflower' in japanese...

Janis - that pink one you posted has a sort of unusual color to it...seems like it isn't mature yet, stabilized yet or something...did you take the picture in the morning(?)...

tazzy - that first one looks like a 'murasaki' cousin and the second one looks familiar, but the name isn't 'coming up' in my mind right now,but they look like Sakata types...are they from the sunrise mix(?)...

TTY'all...

Dillonvale, OH(Zone 6a)

Ron pic was taken at 3 in the afternoon, missed it in the AM, and don't have one today. Will keep checking in the AM.

I have discovered I have 3 vines making the pink flowers, 3 seperate shades, but I have to look at them more tomorrow, got to get to my sisters for the day now.

This is shocked me, its one of my blue w/ star JMG, but this one is trying to double. I looked at it really well, and the "petal" coming from the center IS attached, not a part of the mail petal that ripped.

Don't worry, Emma, its tagged LOL

I'll be back later today, right now go to go watch babies :)

Emma....the Chocolate MG was planted on a trellis that already had a Clematis growing up it, so those are the "other" leaves you are seeing.

When I went up to my daughters on Saturday to babysit, the Chocolate vine had at least ten blooms open. It was quite a sight!

Sandy

Here is "Clear Sky" or Seiun. I only planted one vine and will have to do multiple next year to get a real show!
