I think one of the worst chemicals in the garden is Miricale Gro 15-35-15.

I have a veggie chem need chart from NMSU.

The ideal N for a tomato is 2.5, the ideal P = 1.5

When you pump in an N 6x the amount needed then you get a vegatative growth at the expense of fruit.

I know a person that had tomato plant 12ft tall 8ft dia at the base and not 1 single fruit on the plant. He was feeding full strength Miracle Gro weekly.

Excessive nitrogen depress the uptake of calcium, magnesium and a couple other minor nutrients.

Bugs love a plant with excess nitrogen, Hornworm and aphids esp.

But

If you read the label real close, the last instruction is, in essence if you want to feed everytime you water use 1/8 tsp per gal, Average watering is 2x weekly. Over a 2 week period this would be 1/2 tsp, not 1 tbsp or 6x more.

On several sites that I am on, I have seen over 200 different folks having problems with this stuff.

On the commercial side for N, the recommendations is a 1 time per year 2 week pre plant application of n=46 at about the equivalent of 1 tsp per 3 sq ft.

If you stop overfeeding, you will have better crops.

As soon as one of sites I go to a lot is back up, I will post a photo of a tomato that you won't believe, that was grown in nothing but composted horse manure and a handfull of woodash per year.
