My 2 big beefs with this one.

1. Folks don't read the word "Harvest" They feel they can "Grow" and ripen tomatoes and peppers in a Northern Greenhouse.

2. Greensand and rock phosphate have got to be the biggest waste of a gardeners money that I can think of.

In the NE we get a Jersey Greensand K = 0.1, If I need to add a k = 1.0 to my garden I need 1 bag per sq ft. At about $7 per bag means about $7,000 per 1000 sq ft.
~~~ Instructions on the bag, 1/2 bag per 5 sq ft ~~ K= 0.1
for 5 sq ft = 5 bags to get k = 1.0
It also takes 3 to 5 years for this to become available to the plants.
I am not in that income bracket, I am happy with a $10 pick up load of cow manure.
Even better in my case I found a guy that will deliver free in exchange for a couple qts of chiles..
i think i have the same gardening "style" you have, in that i use leaves,manure etc plus any kind of rusty metal for interest. I am even thinking of raising chickens so i have a source for it.
