Mr Mel, evidently did not try his methods in a humid, bug
infested micro-clime.

If you live in my microclim, NE. The overlapping foliage creates homes for bugs and breeding grounds for bacteria.

I have 167 different bad garden bugs, I ID before I kill.
to save to good guy's

Heavy foliage also prevents sunlight from reaching the soil surface, causing an increase of bad soil fungi.
