New at this gardening thang
Welcome Prairie Girl. This is a great site. Don't have any specific suggestions for you, I usually just buy and plant what I really like. I have a color scheme in the bed directly in front of the house, but everywhere else, just go with my gut instincts. You go girl!!

you can pot that rubrum up and bring it in but it is one of the grasses that is truly an annual almost everywhere. when you pot it leave the tops on and when you are getting ready to put it back out then trim it down close. since it is more of an annual i dont think i would let it dry out because its not really going dormant per say. this is just a suggestion, ive never tried over wintering one as i live in florida. debi
