I've done a lot of trading lately. Digging, wrapping, and mailing plants. You guys know, it's a lot of work! And then I got in all these wonderful plants that I've potted up because really, honestly, I have no where to put them--yet. I've got more beds to prepare--next door at my brother's place since I've filled all my land up.
All this trading has taken its toll, it appears, not only on me, but with my roommate as well. And now I think I'll follow his example and find me a soft, cushiony place and plop by big heiny down for a siesta. Not a bad idea at all.
How bout it? Have you out-traded yourself--worn yourself out, brought in more plants than you have time or space to plant? Maybe Dude is right--nap time! LOL
NancyAnn
Too much trading perhaps?
Here's the little guy from a few days ago. I think he's screaming: "Please, no more! I can't take it no more!!!"
Does this mean I must quit trading? NO WAY!!! I think I'll just stuff the little guy in his crate carrier and hide him in the closet! No trading?? Are you nuts!
NancyAnn
P.S. (Just kidding. No stuffing in the carrier. Please don't call animal rights activists on me!)
...not yet...it seems I do more sending out than receiving. ...what am I doing wrong?
Dude is precious
Sylvia
Oh Susan, that's the cutest picture! Thanks for the laugh.
NancyAnn
Now THAT's the perfect resting spot--a beautiful view. Yep, it was definitely dog-day afternoon today!
N.
Cute kitties, Sedrick! The front one looks like she's talking to you. LOL
The pic of Dude with his paws up? Well, he likes to sit by my computer when I work. This particular day, I was busy and he was sitting on the surge protector on/off switch which the pc is connected to. I reached over to move him and he started slapping at me. That resulted in a hillarious war. I couldn't help antagonizing him. He looked so cute, as you can see. I keep my digital camera by the computer, so I grabbed it quick and snapped a few pics before Dude got tired of our game. I think it should be a poster with a caption. What do you think? I chuckle everytime I see it.
NancyAnn
Definitely a poster Nancy! I have seen a pic like yours on the net where the kitty is being held up with a gun by a dog. lol I keep my camera by the computer too most times. I always thought Sara was eager to take a picture, then it dawned on me that its the dangling of the camera strap that she is after. lol
Sylvia
She may be a slacker, but she sure has pretty legs! Can she type? Who cares? With legs like that, she won't have to! LOL
A raise is in order. A raise to Fancy Feast! LOL
NancyAnn
What a handsome guy! He looks so soft and cuddly. And you know, everyone has a purpose. Some are just supposed to be cute and cuddly, enticing you to pet them as you go by. It lowers your blood pressure you know. LOL
The picture and description were lovely. I enjoyed them. Yes, I agree trading is both a pain and a pleasure. But both are worth. Sometimes we have too much to sow/plant that we feel bad keeping them idle too long. So I have decided to slow down on trading one way - receiving. But I'm always ready to share what I have for others.
Dinu
Oh my Dinu! what have you to share? I would love to receive something from India...postage guranteed. :)
Sylvia
Yeah, cats are funny. They're never interested in our plans, and Lord help us should we interfere with their plans. The above pic of Dude with his paws up was him fighting me as I tried to get him off the surge protector that my computer is hooked too. For some reason, he loves to sit on it and often turns off the computer. Perhaps it's just another way of saying, "No more trading", ya think? LOL
N.
Nero is beautiful! So sleek and shiney, he reminds me of a cat I had many years ago called Sheba.
Susan
Ooooooo Nero is beautiful!
I think he probably likes the serge protector because it's warm. I know that's an unromantic version of it, but if that is the case should be easily fixed by making a wood U to put over it that the cat can sit on without turning the computer off, I've had to do that in the past. It works better if it's a box, with a cut out for the cord, but three pieces of wood nailed together usually works.
Nero thanks you for the compliments, and grumbles at me because I won't let him out on the porch anymore unleashed, because he jumps on the roof.
Here's Koshka sitting on the picnic table I was trying to put where Nero was. She liked having a way to view over the railing that didn’t get her yelled at. Both these pictures are a couple of weeks old; I've done a lot of work on the porch since then.
Oooh, Koshka has beautiful coloring! What adorable companions you have! That was very nice of you to make them a "perch", even if it was unintentional. LOL
N.
Yeah, and I'm going to make them a "cage" this month, hopefully, as well by enclosing my porch, which will be done so they can get sunlight without me having to be right there with them. I'm over protective of my pets, but I've lost a couple, and know too many that have lost theirs to cars, wildlife etc. I figure it'll also make a nice frame for morning glories. Now all I need to do is decide on a design.
How cute! Not something you see everyday. Great shot!
Sylvia,
What'd you like to have from here? Check my trade list please.
Dinu
It looks like Phoebe is saying, Don't forget to update the Norton! LOL
Sarah looks like my little Dude. Apparently she's as vocal as he is too. He "talks" a lot and he just purrs when I talk back.
Here's a picture I caught of him showing what to do in case the worst is going to happen. Just kiss your heiny goodbye. LOL
Now that is one comfortable looking cat! I just love all of them. I've just starting reading Chicken Soup for the Cat Lover and can't get enough of reading about the human/feline bond. They are so amazing.
Susan
