I want that!

I was watching HG tv's - I Want That! just now and they featured insect repellent clothing. Have any of you seen these clothes or tried them? I am really intrigued. I am going to check them out if I can find them locally. Here is the website: http://www.buzzoff.com/

They also featured some self watering stacking pots that look pretty cool. I should really stay away from HGTV..or I will be broke!

Here is a link that shows them both: http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv/gl_container_gardening/article/0,1785,HGTV_3558_3975128,00.html

Jos - be careful about the clothing. The repellant they are using is toxic to cats. They may or may not make note of that on their label, and it may be in small enough quantity to not be a problem - I'm just saying be careful. Now, those self-watering pots REALLY sound and look interesting!

Ahhh ty tgif. You see this is the reason I love DG. You would think I would have learned by now that if it sounds too good it is. The wealth of information here is amazing. Thanks again! My cats are much more important than risking getting some bites!

I do agree about the self watering pots too! You see with your info on the clothing I could buy extra pots!

Go for the pots!!!!!!! (and, like me, buy stock in S C Johnson, and keep buying Off Spray!

I got the same error when I tried the LLbean links..but that was before I found out I might be risking the health of my boys. But I sure do love the idea of the clothing...

I hear you JOS...I am addicted to HGTV too. I havent seen the insect resistant clothing you are talking about ...but it would help if I just put on some clothes before i run outside half naked. LOL I love my babies too...but this West Nile disease that running rampant in this area is something else to think about...I got to be around...who else is going to take care of my babies?

We have had some west nile here but nothing like the southern areas...but dang I guess we are lucky in that respect because the mosquitoes have been thick.
LOL @ you sedrick, yes I suppose some clothes would be better than none. I wish I could trust the insect repellent ones around my boys though!

I read about those and saw them on HGTV it said they where only good for about 20 washings, then what you got to buy another one? Don't know about you but I don't think I want to drop coins on things that has that short of a life. 20 washing on garden clothes around here is about a month.

Thank you Prairiegirl Davart I leave my gardening clogs and clothes downstairs underneath the bathroom sink. When I come in from work I put them on to go outside...if I get too nasty or muddy I just rinse my self off with the gardening hose ,leave them outside and run my arse in the house before the mosquitos get to my naked butt! lol Stop laughing JOS!
