Tanks, Jackie, I love the fuzzy okra...
L'Amour X EP #7 050805
LOL, now if I could only see them in person, I'd be all set. Sherry, want some company this week?
I'm here most of the time Jackie, would love to have your join me!!!
Thanks Sherry, for accepting my self-invitation....lol
Doubt the dh would wing it very well without me, though, but man, I'd love to!! I guess I'll just have to resign myself to living vicariously once again.
SherryLike: mine is too small to compare yet? sorry. Glad you shared your picture, keep us posted!
~Laurrie
Mine too Laurrie (OB) and I, too, am glad you guys are posting pics for us to see so we can look forward to something wonderful in the near hopefully future....THIS year!!! lol
Here is one of 4 L'Amour X EP seedlings (I thought I only had 3 but am delighted had more, means more chances lol)....only 2 look like they may or may not bloom this year, I gotta late start.
Julie, I think putting my seedlings in the ground really made them 'hurry up' and bloom...and there is just no way, I can take all the seedlings inside for the winter, but I will take cuttings of lots to root in the bubbler...
OK you're encouraging me to do this LOL...I am just dying to get some good growth going with these now that I see all the pics posted! Geesh! Gonna go start the bed right now! lol thanks for the encouragement and nudge! Was gonna mow the grass but not now! lolol OHHHHHHHH is your's in the ground in the Pot too??
Are you sure we don't throw too much stuff at brugs and coddle them too much?
This spring I gave the lady across the street 2 brugs I still had in pots and didn't know where I was going to put them. I told her they'd be great blooming around her in-ground pool this summer. When asked if they had bloomed , she said they'd grown but that was it. It's been extreme drought here plus her family was gone on vacation about 10 days. Sheesh, I went back there to see if they were dead. While only about 3' tall, Lamour has 15-20 buds that will start blooming in a week or so. EP is just setting buds.

And the burning answer is: Yes, we probably do! lol Makes ya wonder don't it?
Sherry I sure hope you have great succsess with yours, I won't hold my breath for seeds as it may take too long and I am no spring chicken, BUT I will be waiting, and watching.
DON'T FORGET PICTURES.
Doris
Oh, not to worry, Doris, and thanks, I might camp out back there to make sure I don't miss anything, lol. With regard to coddling the brugs, I certainly do, and i could kick myself for doing so, but, look, I'm an axe-idental gardener, I didn't get into this on purpose, it fell into my lap, when I took Miss Unknown, given to me by The Poet (sort of a panhandler passing through our area) and I put her where she would receive morning sun, and didn't return until late, summer, and I was walking by, smelled heaven, looked up and there she was flushing and about 10 feet tall...the rest is history, but I didn't jump into this because I wanted to, lol, as if there was a law that I had to increase my collection of one, to, I'd say, fifty, whew!! Until last summer, all I did was load the beds with annuals, to compliment the shrubs, and, if it didn't rain, water them till fall, I don't even remember using fert...course I spent a fortune, but it was way cheaper than brugs...
Paul, your cross is outstanding, a real beauty!! Linda, if my LAxEP is half as nice as yours, I'll be a happy camper, I LUV the color and the tight recurve!!! From the get go, I loved recurve and when I read Monika's recurve review, I fell, totally in love!! Paul, and your zone is???
Wow, Linda, your tendrils are superb and curled so tight, she is such a sophisticated girl!!!
Paul, I love the true color of yours, almost red, ya think??!!
how do you change the name of the pic, My pics are not Lamour x ep. When you enlarge it, it does not say the true name of the pic posted???
Lesson learned!

Beautiful blooms, Linda and Paul.
Drooling all over my keyboard...mixed with wine it makes for a sticky situation!!! Beautiful.
Attached is my first seedling to flush this season. Ten days behind Linda's. If mine is half as pretty as Linda's, I'll be happy. Kell created this girl who is:
L'Amour x EP #2 started 2/22/05 first blooms starting 8/15/05
Thank you so much, Kell, for sending me these seeds, I am so happy with her - she is a sturdy brug and does not need support, tho she has a bamboo stick behind her to mark her spot. She is 4 feet tall (standing on her tippy toes) and a little under 3 feet wide. The few holes in her leaves are caused by falling pine straw. Maybe she will open up tonight, I'm really excited and might take a glass of wine out there and keep them company, she has at least 9 blossoms about to open and another flush following right behind. Here she is...
All these are so breathtaking, no wonder we are all addicted.
Our temps. have dropped 20 degrese so plants should do much better, also getting rain right now.
Doris
would ya just look at those big fat sausages! If nothing else, I guess you can just about count on some kind of pink color, huh?
(still admiring the orange nails too. :) )
Great rain report, Doris! I hope we get some, whew!! Our humidity is not bad, but it got up to 90, today, and I had some wilting.
Orange Punch, thanks, Blaine - I'd love it if this flush would be the same color, ha!!
Say, what if my seedling looks identical to Linda's? Would they both use the same name??
We were in the high 90s last two weeks with 96% humidity, today it is 74, and a nice shower, needed more but it sure helped cool off.
Absolutely drop dead gorgeous blooms!!
These brugs never cease to amaze me. How fortunate I am to have joined DG over 2 years ago, and ever since then, I've been a brug fanatic!
Gracie
Thank you, Gracie!! Gracie is a great name...
We had rain last week Doris, two days and it was very nice, but we need it for about a week, lol, but true!
Nice plant Sherry, I'm anxious to see your blooms.
Thanks, Linda!! In the singleton photo, the leaves look like yours. I've got my fingers crossed that she will bloom tonight, but, you know, a watched pot never boils, but I really am excited. This is the largest first flush I've had, on a seedling, so I'm pumped up!!! Err, this is only the second seedling I've had blossom, lol!
Sherry, thank you for the compliment of my name!
Throughout the years, never really liked it, but somehow came to maturity and now I like it too!
Oops, back to our baby Brugs! :) :)
I had a dear, older friend, when I was growing up and her name was Grace and I've always loved Gracie Allen, sweet/pretty name!!
I've been out to check the crown princess so many times, it's embarrassing. Except for one blossom, all tendrils are outside and coming out of their really tight curls, as if anyone cares but me. I'll make another run about Letterman time...
WOWZERS, my heart is going pity pat, Linda - if you will look very closely at my 2nd photo, the singleton, it is growing just like yours in your double-ton photo today, yours on the left side and my singleton are twinkies. I haven't looked at the rest of them, but next trip out, I'll take a look, via my battery lantern. Thanks for the info, this is fun!!

My word, Linda, mine part in the middle like yours, one isn't open well enough to see, but the rest are ready to pop, the tendrils are sticking out, no longer curled tightly. I've never had such a big first flush, especially on such a small brug. The weather is lovely, and cooler, wonderful, light breeze, if it continues, I expect she will be open in the am. This is fun!!!
Linda your's is still Looking GREAT! You girls are so lucky :-)))))) Awesome looking brug and Sherry I can't wait for the birth of yours. I'll be tuned in watching the progress, please post lotsa pics :-)))))
Hugs
Julie
Oh...I notice your's has a number #2 after the name, and Linda has a #7....now is this something that was on the package of seeds? I haven't got that on mine so what would be my number lol...
