Garden Lighting

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

I have been seriously considering L. E. D. garden lighting, so my friend and I bought these little hand held led lights that have red, yellow, blue, green lights and went around the yard to see the effects. We had a lot of fun, and here are some of the results, which we thought were a bit sureal

The first picture is a Brugmansia lit with a blue l e d light.

This is a butterfly, from a string of butterfly lights I have. This one almost looks 3D, I thought.

That's the show for now. I do think I will get led lighting, of course it will be more subdued, but there are lots of possiblities!

The butterfly got me! I'd love to look out night and see that in my garden.

ahh tgif alstos.com has butterflies and dragonflies...also there is another site I found here...I'll try to find it for you. The dragon fly lights are blue..very nice.
thanks guys, I think led lighting for outdoors will be the rage pretty soon I found a couple of web sites. Right now the prices are pretty expensive, probably trying to recoup all the light bulbs you'll never replace!

Here's what grabbed our attention. When the lights were pointed at a shrub, (yesterday, today, tomorrow plant) located next to the house, this is the shadow the leaves cast.

Interesting possibilities...led lighting is still a bit on the expensive side, but probably will be more reasonable when mainstream places start selling them.

Hey Kin,
Yeah I decided to throw more of these pictures in. We were soooo entertained. I'm making a 6 picture set with the brugs in different colours. I'll throw one of my courdory pants in for kicks. We were so easy to amuse!.
Yes this is actually courdory folds with blue and red. You can see we were pointing the lights at every possible thing at this point!

You bet, you will have a blast. We've decided to call it Fractal light art.
The lights are borrowed right now so I can't read the exact name, but I was prepared with a photo. I believe I got them on ebay a few years ago. Look under ..probably lazer pointers.
I will give it a check myself. I bought 2 of them, and they do all sorts of tricks.
