After specifically asking them to send my order in the last week of August or the first week in September, I get the package today! I am so mad. I don't have time to coddle plants and water them twice or three times a day while they are still in their containers. (Over a hundred plants!) The bed I planned to put them in won't be done until the end of August and I am just a little upset because I don't know if I can keep them alive until I can plant them! ARRrggg. I am sure that this has happened to some of you guys. Any suggestions? (I already sent the company a complaint).
They sent my plants too early....
Ask them for new plants at the right shipping time.. they messed up I have done the same and they resent them at the right time. I then gave the plants away (not to get rich off them with trades and mess up Karma) that came early. Just call them up and dont stop until they give you cash back or new plants at the right time. (BTW mine was with Bluestone their boo-boo and they cleaned it up!)
I called them and they will send new plants out. It was their mistake. This was from Mountain valley growers. I love bluestone. I order from them every year and they always replace the plants that don't make it. They have a life time customer in me. Some people complain about the small plants but I like that because less work digging smaller holes.
Most places will relace them if they send them to you to early. Have fun with the plants you have now... share them with friends who garden if you dont have the room and get ready for the rest !
Soooo, what did you buy and what are you going to do with them? LOL
Well, they are going to send ups on monday to pick them up. I'll get a new shipment in September. I am planning a fall bed with mostly fall flowering plants and some herbs. I love plants but the temps are in the 90's here and it gets so dry if I plant them now they won't survive.
Mobi, I hear you... from the other side of the mountains.
Same deal when they send them tooo late in the spring.
