Coffee and...Part 22...! :-D

I stopped by earlier and read up on happenings... just feel lousy today. Stomach feels like I've been eating ground glass, and something is cleaning out my system. So I'm off to town to get something plain and soothing for my stomach.

Darius, I had an attack of that earlier this week. Ended up blaming the canteloupe I 'finished off" the day before. but who? ever knows? ~Blooms

Sarv...love your dog/pool story too! I can just see that happening. And that's one 'Dog's life' I wouldn't mind having. Just think, he doesn't have to *clean* the dog hair out of the pool the next day. hehehe

Darius, sorry to hear you're feeling poorly. DH had something similar a couple of days ago. Hope your's goes away as quickly as his did.

Hi Blooms! Glad to hear you got your shopping done. I can't imagine traveling for any distance at all with AC in the car. I guess if they hadn't discovered to AC vehicles I'd probably have moved to the FAR north country by now. :-)

Robert, that bread pudding looks scrumptuous! I think I'll have my taste now...then I'll do a little Blackberry cobbler for dessert afterward. LOL Sounds like a diet meal to me.

Guess I'll wonder over to the Daylily and Coleus forums and see what's going on over there.

Julie, even on my DSL this is taking a while to load. /;-)~

Bleahhhh it's hot again, thunderstorms promised, maybe that blackberry dobbler will improve my disposition. Puttered around inside today with houseworky chores, too hot to even walk outside, cats are all lying in the sunshine, dead to the world! It's never too hot for them to lie in the sun.

Glad to hear you're pain free Sarv, you forget how good it is to feel well when you have constant pain. I was miserable until I got some decent arch supports from a podiatrist. The tendons that run from the inside ankle bone to support the ankle in my case have stretched from years on my very flat feet. I could hardly walk any distance without limping. The relief was tremendous. I had even seen an orthopedic surgeon who did nothing to help. Asked the Podiatrist if I could dance well once I got the arch supports. He said, sure, and said I was glad because I couldn't dance worth a darn before. (very bad joke, sorry)

Hope Darius gets her stomach settled, some times there's just no explanation for upsets, just need to rest the innards for a while.

I feel a nap coming on........................

Hello everyone. Wow! Bread pudding AND blackberry cobbler the same day! Fantastic!

It's cooler here today, breeze from the north instead of strong wind that we have had for the past couple of days. It's been like walking into a giant clothes dryer. Our power was out on Friday evening and then again on Saturday morning, not sure what is going on but it could have been something to do with the wind. We have outages quite often and usually have no idea about the cause of them. No AC here except in the car and the truck that pulls my trailer, but without power the fans go off. We have an exhaust fan in the attic that really helps with cooling the house, plus two ceeling fans and a small one that blows on me when I sit here at the computer. The greenhouse has 3 fans, so it did get considerably hotter in there while the power was out. In cases like that all I can do is hope the open door helps keep plants from cooking.

Robert that arbor is really looking good with the vine growing on it. Are you sure you want to put a roof on it? I like it the way it is, and the vine will cover it.

Darius, I hope your whatever it is goes away soon. It's a hard way to loose a few pounds (as my DH told his mother one time when she had a double ender for a couple of days).

Time to go change the water in the garden and get other things done around here. See you later.

I think it was the BBQ pork ribs last night. I seldom eat anything greasy like that... At least the gingerale is staying down... so far.

Fort Pierce, FL(Zone 10a)

Darius, gingerale was always my mother's remedy, but I drink regular coke, room temperature. I used to give my kids coke syrup for upset tummies. Something in the coke really works.Hope it feels better soon.

The best cure I have ever had for a bad stomach was a glass of port with a tot of brandy stirred in - very soothing. Mind you if you were tempted by a second you might have to repeat the cure tomorrow - with a hangover cure as well :>) !!
Hope you are better soon.

Darius, pork will do that to me every time. For some reason my system really doesn't like pork...but *I* do! (Ginger ale...usually warm...works for me, too.)

Sarv...I kept trying to remember to tell you that I'm glad you're pain is gone. I have the same thing (popping/sticking fingers) happening to me. I guess now that you have it I won't have to go to the doctor to find out if it's something I need to have looked at. (I just hate it when that danged thing decides of it's own accord to STICK or cramp!)

Blooms...all it takes is one picture added to the thread and the loading speed goes down the tubes. :-( I thought about starting a Thread in the Photo Forum just for our pics, that way we'd know we were in for a wait.

Here's the link for the new thread.

See y'all over there.
