I have a small tree stump that keeps putting off shoots that I would just love to kill. It is a weed tree. I can't pull it out due to my septic pipe is close and it is close to my foundation. I have tried to kill this thing since we moved here but it keeps coming back. Is there anything that I can spray that would kill the thing out.

Nitrogen - if you over-fertilize it you can speed up the rotting process.
Here's a useful article:

This process seems to have worked with a smaller (1 foot diameter stump) and it worked over time.
Good luck and let us know how you finally get rid of it....we have one that is almost three feet across and is hard as iron - it broke the drill (I'll probably have to have a removal service take care of it when I move back to NY)
Thanks, interesting article.
