I was wondering if there is a thread somewhere that addresses this. I would also like to know!

Many years ago, I tried this with Lily of the Valley. It seems all I did was soak the flowers in mineral oil. Maybe there's more to than that, but that's all I remember.

Several years ago, I was into herbs & how to use them and I remember reading that you can extract oil by using oil. I tried it with chamomile flowers and I THINK grapeseed oil. I just filled a jar with the dried flowers and then poured the oil on top, making sure they were completely covered. Make sure there is some "extra" oil on top because any flowers poking out of the oil can get moldy and gross! I think I put it in the sun to naturally warm the oil to help with the extraction process. I shook it on a regular daily basis for about a month and then used cheesecloth to strain it. It worked! Kinda neat if you want to try it.
