...that tonight is the night! Stay tuned... Since I'm on West Coast time, you East Coast folks will probably be sound asleep when they open so check out this thread in the morning! I'm so excited. I may have to sleep on the patio tonight:-)
I have a feeling...
Oh Clare! How wonderful it's going to be......make sure the batteries for the camera are charged up and take LOTS of pictures. We can emjoy them now and then run back here this winter to savor the moment. :-)
LOL, Candy! I can feel your enthusiasm, and I'm right there with you. Wish you were here in person, then we could set up chairs, make some drinks, and wait for them to open:-) I guess pictures are the next best thing. I'm all charged and waiting for the night.
Oh goody!!! At least three buds today and perhaps two tomorrow, looking from this angle?
OMG....that looks just like the 2 buds that are on my big epi that I have no idea what it is. WHAT KIND is that Clare? If it is a night blooming one, I guess I better go out and check mine to see if it bloomed NOW. Maybe I should take the camera. Stay tuned for my report too. :-)
Marcy
Clare, ya big show off! 5 blooms at once on your oxy! I wish I could see those in person :-). .... looking forward to seeing those pics :-)

Awesome, Clare. Dontcha just love them??
Thanks, Darius! I have two more buds that will probably open tonight, and I have one more bud on a different plant. It will be fun to compare those two different plants.
Marcy, they are Epiphyllum oxypetalum, the night-blooming variety.
Clare they are just beautiful! And such great pictures too. Lucky lucky you! And more tonight hopefully......be still my heart!
Congrats!!
Wow, Clare! Beautiful!!
:) Donna

Kitty cat had to sniff too very cute!
Thanks, guys! Three more are coming! If I don't get them posted tonight, I'll post them in the morning:-)
"Extreme" beauty!!
Oh Clare! that is soooooo beautiful! And how considerate of them to line up for you like that so you could see them all at once :-). I can almost smell them from here :-)
-Julie
Thanks guys! That is all for the big ones for now, but I have lots of buds on my little one so, hopefully, I'll have more flowers here and there in the summer evenings to come. I hope you get some too.
Beautiful Clare,
How long from cutting to first blooms?
You have the touch,in growing these, and fast too!
Fragrance is well worth waiting for too!
Congrats to you,I tip my hat to the expert in growing these!
Don
Hi Don! You're so sweet. I wish I could take the credit, but I do believe it is my favorable climate that helps with flowering. Mine get left outside all year so they get the natural chill and natural reduction in light. These cuttings came from your flowering plant so that probably helped as well.
I think you are the better gardener because you get them to flower several times a year and have to deal with moving them in and out of the greenhouse, etc. I think you sent me the cuttings about a year ago in spring of 2004.
