This message was edited Sep 22, 2005 8:35 AM
Zuzu can only come if someone else from Sonoma County comes. There is no bus service in Sebastopol on Saturday. Come on, Sonoma County gardeners. I'll pay for the gas and the bridge toll.
Yipee!! I haven't been to the SF area in years! Does anyone know where Duncan Mills is? Seems like we went through Sebastapool. We camped there once and I love the beach there....too old for it now, though.
Annie...I am entering this info in the Events Forum. Jo
It's posted in the Events Forum....
http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/460981/
Hanna...don't you think this should also be posted in the regular RU Forum...don't want to leave anyone out that would like to come from other states.....like ME! LOL Jo
Hiya, Jo. . .will be terrific if you can join us. Check out this map link for Duncan Mills, just inland from Jenner on the Russian River. Is this what you're looking for?
[Note from Terry: I edited out the map link as it didn't work and was making the thread extra extra wide ;o)]
I'd love to attend, if there's room for one more. I live nearby, so I can easily bring food or anything else that's needed.
Jills, of course We have room for you!!!! And many more, yeppie!!!!
Jo, thank you very much!!!! We do need to cover all of our bases, hadn't thought of that, glad you did, then We need a food thread and a plant trade thread, who wants to start that?
Here's the Park, and a great place, I will make a reservation!!! No parking fee!!!! Lot's of shade!!!!

Annie
I will come if I am physically up for it! At the moment b/c I have 'morning sickness' long drives aren't possible but I should HOPE it has passed by sept!!!!!
Tatyana
ok its been Calendared!
Hanna1, I'll be happy to start the plant trade thread and keep up with it. (It's not too hard, since everyone is responsible to update their own list using the edit.) Since I'm not close, it's one thing I can do to contribute to the success of the Nor Cal RU.

Plant Trades Here:

Never been to an RU but would like to do it! It's about a 6-hour drive, but if I plan it.....
Can I put in a "most likely" and watch the thread? Or do I have to commit right now.... Sounds like a good time.
Sanna
Annie, will we be barbequing (sp?)
I just read the So Cal food thread and saw that everyone chipped in for burgers & sausages. How'd that work out?
BBQ for sure, and everyone is welcome to bring side dishes, not too much, We had soooo much food down south a lot was wasted! We'll also need paper goods, plastic ware, cups, Napkins, put it on the food thread! everyone brings drinks they'd like! oh, and ice also!
I am gonna miss it. School does get in the way of fun. I will probably be in Northern CA the last 3 weeks of this month.
So sorry, darn it Frogs, sigh, well I hope to see ya anyhow, just email me!!!
Annie
I'd be interested in coming too!
lily maybe we could carpool?
Good idea, Tatyana. Let's talk as it gets closer.
Please add me to your list too! Just as long as I am in CA and not in NY helping my mother move...So glad to know a date so that I can at least try to avoid it! Sounds great!
Margie
It's a "maybe" for me too. That's a long drive & requires an overnight stay or 2. We'd have to leave here @ 3-4AM to get there at 10. I'm not much good after a 6 hour drive.
We'll see.
someone let me know if the date changes so i can go please!
sounds like a fun idea, count me in
diane
Count me as a definite maybe! I have been out of town for a week and need to get home and find out what survived.....LOL
Karen
Darn!!! This sounds great! But that weekend is my mothers' 60th b-day, and us kids have plans to take her out to S. Barbara for the weekend. I hope that we can arrange one of these again, I would love to meet my fellow DGers.
cheers,
kendra
Oh, yea! I'll put it on my calendar and keep my fingers crossed that I call make it. Finally one in our area! Woo Hoo!
I will keep this on my calendar, but as of now this is in the middle of our 2 week vacation. :( The last one in S. Calif we went to Washington.
Thanks, kathy
Shouldn't this info be on the Roundup thread? Just asking!
Also, another reason to come to the RU: The UC Berkeley Botanic Garden will be having their annual fall plant sale on Sunday, September 25. Lots and Lots and LOTS of all kinds of plants! Many you won't find at your local nursery. And you can also tour the garden while you're there!

phidania, sorry we will miss you! Let's see what SAC comes up with, and many of us can also see you there!
Happy special B-day to your Mom
kathy, We made a vacation of the S. Cal. RU, a great time!
Marilyn, thanks for posting the event at the Gardens!
Annie
I almost forgot, dogs are welcomed on at the longest 6ft leash!!! TeeHee
Hey guys I almost missed this , Roundup Forum - what'dya think?
I know I'm an idiot, but can someone tell me where to find the place to sign up to bring food and supplies? Thanks!
May be a good idea to provide all the links already posted at the top of each thread, from the date & location, plants trades,
food to bring, park map etc. With several threads going, it's easy to get lost as this progresses.
Here's some photos of Cull Canyon!
http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/527583/
Here's the food thread:
http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/526163/
And this was posted as well:

Dear ones,
I'm doing the best I can, have never put anything like this together before online!
If you look at the very first part of this thread you will see it leads you to the Roundup forum,
then it leads you to the plant trade thread that was started by Jcanjemi.
As far as where to sign up here is a good place! I keep adding names as I find someone else who is
interested.
If any of you would like to help in any way please don't hesitate at all, I need all the help
I can get to make this a win win situation!
And more threads may be started by other folks now in the "California Gardening forum"
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me by private e-mail, or for help, lol,
Annie

Hi Annie. . .you're doing just fine. Somebody had to get the ball rolling and you did it. It will be a learning experience for all of us LOL. It's too late in the evening, get some rest. . .got plenty of time to sort it all out. 8-))))) Janet
Thanks PotEmUp for the notice!
This looks great!
Not sure yet if I can go, but if - I'm one of those freaks who doesn't drive; should I start a "Round-up Rideshare" thread, I wonder?
(Or - anyone between Crockett & El Cerrito with extra car space? Will chip in for gas, of course.)
:)
Janet...I will be GLAD to do the Chocolate Inspection...again...that is what I do best...LOL Jo
Ok, I'd like to join in the fun. Never did this before. What exactly is a round up................. anyways?
thanks for your efforts
Nancy
From the Roundup Forum http://davesgarden.com/forums/f/roundup/
No, not the weedkiller! A roundup is a real-life gathering of DG members, and this forum is for reminiscing about past roundups and for planning future get-togethers.
Sort of like a family reunion, but without all the bickering ;-}
whatza 'roundup'?
