This is on almost all of the leaves of a linden tree.
Does anyone know what it is?
Paul
What is it?
I am going to take a guess: galls. My second guess would be some kind of insect egg. Hope it is the first one, which usually isn't a problem. Hopefully someone will come along and tell us both for sure!

Looks like galls to me, too. And bluekat is correct. Usually galls aren't really a problem. They just look funny, but don't really hurt the tree. Oak trees, for example, almost always end up with galls eventually - sometimes more than one kind.
