I didn't touch it...and it was on a leaf from a Mulberry Tree, and I have learned, to never count on the Horsie....

Hmmmm I would have picked it as being the caterpillar from the Pandorous Sphinx Moth http://www.silkmoths.bizland.com/epandoru.htm but as you'll see there their food plant is not the Mulberry Tree, then again maybe it strayed. Does it pull back it's head when disturbed?
